Easy and fluid to use

Comments: Overall very positive compared to other ATS systems I've seen and used.

Pros:

We use most of the NEOGOV features and they all work pretty seamlessly. The dashboards are easy to read and navigate to more refined details.

Cons:

Some things feel a little buried where it feels like I'm digging through several screens to get where I'm going.

Comments: NEOGOV continues to get better and better. They listen to feedback!

Pros:

Integration and customer service is great. NEOGOV listens to feedback.

Cons:

NEOGOV still requires multiple steps so it has opportunity to reduce its complexity. I would love to see a full integration with government finance and budget systems in the future.

Every portion of it is costly or you need one product in order to use the another

Comments: It has improved over the yrs. I like that

Pros:

Information is easy to navigate to. Reporting and analytics has definitely improved

Cons:

All the info I'm looking for in reporting is not there. Such as applications referred is not on the lists. You can not print the supplemental questions on the "print posting". Can't copy and paste the supplemental questions. Can't copy supplemental questions within your questions. When you add supplemental questions, they dont go in the bank.

Comments: I have thoroughly enjoyed implementing numerous products and integrations over the past 10+ years. The CEO is so personable absolutely love seeing Shane at the conferences and the Neogov Staff is so personable and great to work with. Absolutely love our account manager Lindsey Gerber!!

Pros:

One stop shop, easy to use! Neogov has really made it possible to implement module and integration after another to make our hiring processes, evaluations, onboarding, learning, payroll and various other key employee processes possible.

Cons:

Setup process can be lengthy but Neogov Staff so easy to work with.

Highly recommend Neogov!

Comments: Overall very good! The more I learn about the different functions neogov has to offer, the easier it has helped to transition everything on neogov versus having things in separate sites.

Pros:

I like how I am able to customize almost everything about a recruitment from the initial planning to the offer.

Cons:

I don’t like how when I’m on a written exam or oral exam schedule, there’s no button to take me straight back to the recruitment plan. Instead, there’s a button for the evaluation step but not for the exam plan. I sometimes have to go back on the site or open a new tab if I’m trying to check something within the exam plan.

Comments: I’ve had Insight for 8 years and used to have Onboard but dropped it because it didn’t integrate with our payroll system so there was still a lot of manual data entry.

Pros:

It’s integration with goveernentjobs.com and postings getting picked up by Indeed. As well as auto scoring based on supplemental questions.

Cons:

So so so many clicks and hidden features. It’s really a best that needs taming. Good software should be so intuitive that no training is required.

The new dashboard and task. The analytics and now seeing the reqs on the insight side without going to OHC

Comments: Very positive. This is the second job I've rolled it out too. It's been well received from upper management throughout employee levels.

Pros:

Ease of setup and product support. It has made our department more efficient and lessened the paper burden.

Cons:

Difficulties with system after rollouts or updates. Losing OHC has been difficult and some features are not available on dashboard recruitment.

Works but could be much better with improvements

Comments: Overall it does assist with the candidate tracking, but our agency currently only has onboard, insight, and attract. Our IT person has made plenty of suggestions over the past 10-15 years of improvements but while some of them have been implemented, the majority of them have not. So it feels like we still have to do our own work around to get the off the shelf product to work, which is frustrating at times.

Pros:

Ability to track candidate application, reach out to candidates via attract, and take candidate through applicant lifeline.

Cons:

There are still many improvements to be made that can make this process easier, such as removing the size limit on attachments to the exam plan and allowing us to move the attachments around to sort them vs deleting. There is also no audit trail for attachments and in other areas in which we would like audit trails. These are just a couple examples. The UI could be better as well.

Comments: I only use insight, but as the recruiter for a depart of 500+ employees (and as someone new to public sector and NEOGOV) it's made the hiring process steps easier to navigate.

Pros:

Ease of navigating our civil service rules with the system.

Cons:

Clunky at times. Feels outdated. Keeps signing me out after just logging in.

Pros:

The efficiency and how easy it is to learn and navigate. Also, having 10 years of records and data is helpful

Cons:

Not much, just small things like not being able to delete an evaluation step made in error if candidates were sent to that step. Even if the candidates were moved back, still can’t delete the step made in error.

Comments: Overall NEOGOV gets the job done. It is a cohesive/all in one product that allows entities to use the product for multiple necessary functions.

Pros:

The applicant tracking system, ease of posting positions, the ability to Onboard new employees and assign tasks.

Cons:

There are a few features that could be added. I do not like that there is not an option to merge profiles in Onboard or that there is not an option to update passwords.

All in one products, good concept, And good intention

Cons:

Software not stable updates Unreliable and breaks things that NG may not know until user reports, and some of the issues don’t get solved from the root level. Can be very frustrating for the users.
