SAP Concur: Accounts Payable and Receivable Automation Solution
Comments: Resolve issues on accounts and invoices through three way matching.
Pros:
SAP Concur allows me to detect disparity on POs, invoices and accounts prior to vendor payments by detecting data automatically with OCR technologies.
Cons:
I am able to accomplish every accounting task on my end with SAP Concur.

It's been fantastic to use, with monthly reports to measure progress
Comments: The company's customer service and accounting staff were always willing to help. For a simple operation, I didn't have to fill in a lot of data in the expense reporting UI, which I appreciated. It seemed that the processes for obtaining the permit were also working well.
Pros:
Since then, we've moved away from Concur's Expense and Travel modules. Whereas we won't go into specifics, our current Travel app appears to be a lateral shift, with some upgrades and some downgrades, while our current Expense app is an entirely new experience and I wouldn't consider going back.
Cons:
Many times, even the real people behind the scenes couldn't get the system to do what they wanted, so I had to work with the travel provider to connect things like my frequent flyer number so I could access my status-related benefits.

It's not overly intuitive for the average user
Pros:
We use this to log and manage expense claims. The process of doing so generally works fine. The integrated journey mapping/calculation tool is very good.
Cons:
The system is not as user friendly as other expense systems I have used in the past. Part of this might be the complex nature of our specific setup but, for the average, infrequent user, it can be frustrating to log a basic expense claim.

Alternatives Considered:
Good software with PO Functionality
Pros:
This is a good software for Invoice Processing and creation of PO's.
Cons:
The rejected invoices stay on the list and needs to be checked and deleted.

Multipurpose Tool
Comments: It's a great tool overall, gives you access to multiple points of information to help run your business.
Pros:
Depending on what access you had, SAP would let you pull sales information (orders and invoices) to help manage your daily business. It was also a great way to manage inventory at the plant and the different 3PL's the company is using. It also gave me access to pull my own deduction back-up without going to accounting.
Cons:
The software could be slow if it isn't customized correctly to what the company needs are. It also has a steep learning curve for new users.
