> **Pros**: I used it when some analysis i needed for my PhD dissertation wasn't possible through SPSS. I had to learn Mplus for latent profile analysis. Learning the software was easy and I ended up getting great feedback on my analysis.

> **Cons**: I was using an older version at my school where path model didn't show up when i wrote the code. I have heard that newer versions have the functionality now, I am happy to see that change. It makes everything very visual and easy to understand.

> **Pros**: This product is amazing. It is easy to use without complicated code. Unlike other softwares like SAS and R, you need to know detailed and complicated syntax to run data. Code for Mplus is very simplistic. In addition, you can use this software of any kind of analysis. I initially picked it up so I could do HLM, but I ended up using it for CFA, EFA, descriptive, ANOVA, and all kinds of path modeling. It's very versatile and very easy to use and learn.

> **Cons**: I dislike the fact that this software is fairly expensive to get. It would be easier for me if it was under 200 dollars, but maybe that's too much to ask for, considering it is extremely versatile. In addition, I now frequently use Mac, and Mplus does not have a version that can run on Mac. I need to install windows on my mac to be able to use it. I would suggest to offer Mac version as well.

> My overall experience with Mplus was great\! It is a versatile software that gives me a lot of options to run analyses, even the ones that are not available on bigger softwares such as SPSS. It is also easy to learn and coding is not that complicated. I would highly recommend for all statisticians and researchers.
