Arguably the best eCommerce platform for beginners

5.0 last year

Pros:

I love two things about Woocommerce the most. One is how easy it is to use. Unlike Shopify, a complete beginner can set up an e-commerce website rather quickly and without problems. The second thing is the community. So many people are using woocommerce, so if you ever face a challenge, there is already a fix online.

Cons:

The fact that you need a plugin for every single custom thing you want. I'm still building a woocommerce site and I already have like 20 plugins, because some basic options are missing from the default WooCommerce.

Woocommerce is the best tool for online stores

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: WooCommerce is great for creating an online store and getting it up and running in a short time with little money. It is my preferred platform to recommend to my clients.

Pros:

Its ability to integrate with other tools, addons, extensions and its extensive documentation allows you to customize many elements of the online store.

Cons:

WooCommerce's base design is not the prettiest and some of its own add-ons are very expensive compared to other brands.

Freemium ecommerce that racks up quickly.

3.0 6 months ago

Comments: For simple ecommerce setups, WooCommerce is smooth and easy to use. Again, if you have any sort of custom (even conventional) shipping, coupons, or store setups, you're stuck paying for extras that add up pretty quickly.

Pros:

For the most basic of ecommerce setups, you can't beat free for Woocommerce. It's made by the same people that make WordPress, so it integrates very smoothly.

Cons:

If you want to do anything of any complexity at all, you're stuck either writing a bunch of code yourself or paying yearly fees on their plugins.

An "easy and free" ecommerce solution

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: Generally positive, except in complex projects which require an ecommerce CMS instead of just a plug-in

Pros:

Its a fast and free solution to launch an ecommerce, it has a great community and a lot of 3rd party integrations. It is based on Wordpress so should not have a great learning phase.

Cons:

Like any module based system, some basic functionalities require a 3rd party module, and it can be expensive if the project has several requirements. Also, if you need to fully customize your store, this might not be your best option.

Easy to start, hard to optimise

4.0 6 months ago

Pros:

Is the 2nd fastest tool to create an ecommerce in less than 1 hour. You are in control of your checkout process and your money, and you are not forced to pay fees on every sell

Cons:

You need to pay a lot of plugins or have your coders in order to optimise everything. There is a lot of things you cannot do without coding

WooCommerce to sell

5.0 5 months ago

Pros:

WooCommerce is the best way to transform your WordPress website into a powerful online shop. Setting up the plugin is easy and straightforward. Items management is easy and intuitive. The most important thing at WooCommerce is the compatibility with all wordpress plugins. Increase security, increase website loading speed and the most important SEO.

Cons:

A good webhosting (usually more expensive) is needed for a fluid experience.

Best open source platform with over 60,000 plugins

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: It is far easier to use out of the box while still allowing control and customization than any other platform.

Pros:

Legible code, easy to understand and customize

Cons:

Frequent updates forcing constant development of customized code to ensure compatibility. To be fair, this is largely due to outside influences like hackers and cyber crooks targeting wordpress as a whole.

Comments: We ll keep using it on all our WP based shops. Great value and definetely easy setup.

Pros:

We are using WooCommerce for most of our e-comm sites. Easy to integrate with third-party addons. Lot of options for customization of our shop, from shipping to advanced options.

Cons:

No issues with any of the features we are utilizing. It is recommended for beginners too.

Good if You are Using Wordpress

5.0 4 months ago

Pros:

If your focus is on Blogging and content creation using Word Press, WooCom is a great option, but I was not and have since moved to Shopify.

Cons:

It wasn't easy enough for me and using it on WordPress, I didn't want to have to rely on a developer, so I moved to Shopify for something I could do myself.

Woocommerce gets the job done, cheap! (unless you need a lot of addons)

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: We've used woocommerce for years to manage our inventory and sell our goods, merch, and services. It's been very helpful, particularly for anything we need to ship.

Pros:

Woocommerce is enterprise grade software that is free/cheap. You can get started for free and buy the official addons for a relatively low price if you need them. If you have a developer like we do, you can extend the functionality for no extra cost. It gets the job done nicely.

Cons:

Could have more out-of-the-box functionality.

A very good option with no coding setup

5.0 last year

Comments: Me and my clients and my developer are very happy and familiar with woocommerce, so we are really happy to suggest this solution as the opportunity arises.

Pros:

I like that anyone can setup easily his online store thanks to Woocommerce. Already in its standard installation is comprehensive of everything an e-shop needs to be ready.

Cons:

Some interesting features are paid features from the official woocommerce channels. So, to be really competitive with other e-shop platform, woocommerce needs a certain number of third party plugins.

Woo Is E-commerce At Its Finest

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: My overall experience was wonderful, except for the price changes. If it wasn't for the price changes I would still be with them today. I'm actually considering going back because it's such a good platform I'd recommend it to everybody.

Pros:

It's amazing how it's an all in one app. There is nothing u can't find on Woo! It was my initial platform, and I am considering going back

Cons:

Price changed too many times and made it hard to keep up with.

Affordable ecommerce platform

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: Overall it's good. There are quite a few compromises (ease of use, inventory tracking) but if you need to run an ecommerce store on a small budget, this is a great option.

Pros:

It's a great entry point platform, given its open source and free to start using.

Cons:

The user interface can be improved and made easier to use. Given the free nature of the app, it's also likely to attract small solo business users who may not be tech savvy, so it could do with more work on the UI front. Secondly, for an ecommerce tool, it should really have better inventory management features built in.

Cons:

WooCommerce

5.0 7 months ago

Pros:

I cant see a way to sell online without WooCommerce. There are 2 main features that i love, it combines very good with WordPress plugins, this can increase SEO, website speed and many more. Second feature are the themes, there are so many already made themes or builders to choose from.

Cons:

Hosting is important for big shops with many products. A feature to inform that you need more resources to operate will be a nice feature.

Satisfied from start to finish

5.0 last year

Comments: Although like any plugin it can improve some aspects, I highly value its easy integration with WordPress, which is the CMS I use for my website, the great community and support available, and its basic but complete functionality to manage an online business in a simple way. It has exceeded my initial expectations to get me started in e-commerce and grow my reach to new customers. I will continue to learn tricks and customize my store to get better results month after month

Pros:

I mainly liked the ease of use and integration of WooCommerce. Being able to create my products quickly and easily, adding images and details such as colors, sizes, etc. was an important advantage when managing my online store. The customization it allows on the front-end also allowed me to adapt it to the design and style I wanted for my brand. Another functionality that I valued was natively secure payments through gateways such as PayPal, which streamlined the purchasing process for my clients

Cons:

What I liked least was the limited customization in the back-end and administration panels. Although you can modify the fields of the order forms, it is not easy to customize the structure and design of the administration area much further. This could be improved to give more advanced configuration options to those who require it. Another point to improve are some processes that are not very intuitive, such as inventory management requiring more steps than necessary

Avant-garde soul and design

5.0 last year

Comments: Although it required patience and effort during the initial implementation, I was able to implement very advanced functionality for my store in a short time. In addition, its performance and security have allowed me to gradually scale sales. The community around this platform is very active and we find quick solutions to any problem with the documentation or discussion forums. I would definitely recommend WooCommerce to any entrepreneur for its power and flexibility

Pros:

What I liked most about WooCommerce was its great flexibility and customization capacity. Thanks to its architecture based on plugins, themes and extensions, I was able to configure exactly the online store I needed for my business. I had the opportunity to test various payment methods, shipping logistics, theme designs, among other optimizations. In addition, its native integration with WordPress allowed me to take full advantage of the CMS's functionalities to create content and manage my store in a very intuitive way

Cons:

What I liked least about WooCommerce was that since it is an open source platform, the learning curve is somewhat longer than other e-commerce solutions. It required spending extra time at the beginning to familiarize myself with all of its configuration parameters, database tables, and templating system. I also missed a larger library of natively available themes, although I realized that this is offset by the flexibility to create custom layouts

I recommend WooCommerce for you if you want a professional online store

5.0 last year

Comments: WooCommerce is a widely used and popular e-commerce plugin for WordPress. Many users appreciate its flexibility, extensive customization options, and large community support. It offers a range of features for online store management, from product listings to payment processing.

Pros:

WooCommerce is a user-friendly e-commerce platform that allows you to create and customize online stores. It offers a lot of themes and plugins, making it simple for both beginners and experienced users to build professional-looking websites.

Cons:

WooCommerce offers flexibility but can be complex for some beginners. It depends on WordPress, has performance concerns with heavy customization, and requires paid extensions for advanced features.

Highly recommended!

5.0 last year

Comments: The customer service and helps boards WooCommerce offers to customers are excellent! There has been quite a few times I’ve needed assistance due to unique setups and every time they have provided a solution and a speedy response.

Pros:

From start to finish, WooCommerce really does have it all. Right from the moment you install. And no matter how awkward your own business setup may be, WooCommerce always has a way to accompany it.

Cons:

To be honest other than the app, it’s hard to fault WooCommerce. If you are building a Wordpress website, WooCommerce is definitely the choice to go with. But again, the mobile app needs work.

Comments: Good. Could be better. Good end user experience usually, but buggy as heck.

Pros:

Integrations are great and the ability to do subscriptions was critical.

Cons:

It wasn’t easy to set up. I ended up having to hire a consultant to assist me in getting everything set up, working and functional. Feel like I’m trouble shooting and having small bugs all the time. Plug ins often won’t auto update.

Pros:

With a daily use of this tool we came to know that i has a lot of functionality to manage a lot of things on a single platform, like website, sales, messages, inventory, etc.
