A great alternative to Powerpoint

Google Slides is a cloud based and heavenly presentation platform!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I grew up using PowerPoint UNTIL I discovered Google Slides. Google Slides is so easy to use, easily accessible on any device, and my go to for all my presentations! It has great transitions, templates, and most importantly can be accessed by signing into your GMAIL. You no longer have to worry about whether your PowerPoint presentation will be a valid format on the computer you're presenting on.

Pros:

I love how simple it is to use, the templates, and most importantly the fact that you can easily pull up Google Slide presentations simply by logging into your Google account since sometimes computers aren't compatible with PowerPoint.

Cons:

Nothing. I absolutely LOVE Google Slides. I have used it for every presentation for years now.

Convenient for Collaboration, Limited for Design

3.0 2 months ago

Comments: Using Google Slides feels efficient but uninspired. While it's great for real-time collaboration, it's not ideal for crafting visually engaging presentations. I often find myself switching to more powerful tools when quality matters.

Pros:

The ease of sharing and collaborating in real-time is the best part, especially for quick team edits or last-minute updates.

Cons:

Limited design features, lack of customizability, and a somewhat clunky interface make it hard to produce polished, professional presentations. Design options and transitions feel quite basic, using it as a designer feels especially limiting.

Build Basic Presentations with Ease

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: For a quick, easy presentation that you can easily project onto a TV or other screen, Google Slides is a perfect fit.

Pros:

Google slides is easy to use and integrates well in the google suite. A novice can easily create a slideshow without any problems. There are also some more advanced features for power users.

Cons:

Google slides doesn't always integrate well with other presentation software. Also, so of their menu structures make it difficult to find the functions you're used to in other programs.

Google Slides

5.0 last week New

Comments: I am very happy about it, I do not have any complains at all.

Pros:

The fact that it is similar to PowerPoint and that I can complete my work on Google Slides as I would on PowerPoint. Most importantly, is the fact that it is free of charge.

Cons:

Nothing, I love Google Slides and I would urge those who wish to use PowerPoint but can't afford one to resort to Google Slides.

Google Slides: A Collaborative Presentation Powerhouse

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: For me its simplicity, accessibility, and collaboration features make it an excellent choice for most presentation needs of mine.

Pros:

The simplicity of the interface makes it beginner-friendly, and the wide range of templates speeds up the creation process is what I like the most about Google Slides.

Cons:

Least enjoyable aspect about Google Slides for me is it can lag when working with presentations that have heavy media, like videos or high-resolution images.

A modern version of PowerPoint!

5.0 2 months ago

Pros:

A much more collaborative version of PowerPoint. Very easy to create new slides, insert animations and add images and text. Also, incredibly easy to share for others to view without access to edit.

Cons:

A little difficult to insert already existing pdf and slides into a presentation - it would sometimes not be able to render.

Perfect Everyone Friendly Presentation Tool

4.0 last year

Comments: I really enjoy using Google Slides and don't see myself switching from it anywhere in the near future. It serves its purpose perfectly and helps me survive college coursework. 10/10.

Pros:

As a student, I am constantly assigned tasks of all varieties. In light of this I dont think there a single digital presentation I have done not using google slides. It is easy and practical to use, beyond perfect for collaborating, and has tons of features that can fit to any individual's style whether that be on the beginner end or for those who are far more advanced there is something for everyone.

Cons:

The only thing I disliked is the lack of aesthetics. It is hard to find slide templates in app that I find myself reaching for however that is nothing I can't solve by using outside presets.

Great collaboration tool, not ready for primetime

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: I use Google Slides to allow coworkers that do not have Microsoft Office to preview and collaborate on PowerPoint presentations.

Pros:

The simple fact that Google Slides can open, edit, and save PowerPoint files from a Chrome browser is amazing. The industry leading collaboration is a game changer.

Cons:

The lack of ability to easily and reliably present full screen to an external monitor is the only reason I still need Microsoft Office. I also would like to see an option to mute notifications while in Presentation mode.

Excellent collaborative presentations!

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Just a wonderful tool when it comes to creating or collaborating on presentations, ensuring you can work anytime/ anywhere/ from any device.

Pros:

All around its friendly and intuitive collaboration features. Nice to be able to notify peers, and manage accesses (define who I want to be able to edit the presentation, add comments, or just read-only). Very convenient for all types of presentations that require multiple people to provide their input. Also great to foster team-work. Nice as well, if you need someone specific to make the 'final validation/ review' in an on-line manner.

Cons:

I have not found drawbacks in my daily utilization in the last years.

Google Slides — A powerful tool to make more than just slideshows

4.0 5 months ago

Comments: On top of the presentations, I use Google Slides on 9 TV's as digital a digital menu. The ability to update the information being shown on any device without the need to install anything is great. I love that I can change something on the fly and have it update on the TV without having to move files around.

Pros:

Google slides has been great to use. The best part is that it's free and integrates with all my other google services without issue. I love that I can be working on desktop and seamlessly transition to working on my iPhone when I leave.

Cons:

There's not a lot to complain about, Googles suite of products offer some of the best value. The only thing I could pick at is the different placement of the ui objects and some minor differences in terminology. That may only be a con if you're already familiar with another software.

Thank you, Google, for everything you do

5.0 last year

Comments: It was the most difficult in the past, and I used another program to do this, but with the advent of Google Slides, it became easy to use and create easily, and it became fun, even with all the current progress, it became interesting.

Pros:

In fact, everything is wonderful, suitable for work, easy to use and not complicated, but the things I love most are after adding artificial intelligence tools, it has become very fun and easy while I work.

Cons:

In fact, everything is wonderful, suitable for work, easy to use and uncomplicated, but the things I don’t like most after adding artificial intelligence tools are that I become any ordinary person who is not specialized in creating progressive presentations, working and creating a specialized presentation and accurate content.

Google Slides Pros and Cons

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

I love that I'm able to collaborate with team members to create presentations on Google Slides! It's so easy to work on one slide while another team member adjusts a different section to maximize efficiently.

Cons:

I would say that my least favorite thing about Google Slides is that presentations get deleted when the owner's Google account gets deleted, even if they have shared that presentation with others. I feel like it would be ideal if a copy of it were saved somewhere so other users can still reference it.

Google Slides: Your Companion to Smooth and Rich Presentation

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with google slides is satisfying. Almost all features that I need is there. It is also easy to navigate despite the use of screen readers, a software used by persons with visual impairment. I could recommend this to almost everybody, especially for those who attend or conduct online classes, workshops, or even simple presentations.

Pros:

I've been using google slides both in work and in school. I allows me to: -Create an accessible presentation -Create a presentation both online and offline -Create presentation with groupmates -Export presentation to other formats -Convert presentation to google slides' format -Create viewable presentation to almost everybody

Cons:

The only con I find in google slides is it gets crashed whenever there are many pictures included.

Google Slides creates amazing presentations for all users.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with Google Slides has been great! Only certain limitations but other than that it is okay.

Pros:

I personally love the option Google Slides provides. You are not only able to great presentations but add animations to give it that extra flare.

Cons:

I do not like the design limitation. As a designer if you want to create something more extravagant it is harder because lots of items are locked.

Google Slides is easy to use and best of all it's FREE

4.0 6 months ago

Pros:

Super easy to get started! Just download the app on your phone or access it through your Google account on a desktop/laptop. I also use PowerPoint and Keynote, which all have similar features. I love that I can start the design easily on Google and save it as a PPT which we mainly use in corporate presentations. Since it's a Google product you can insert anything else from Docs or Sheets, along with all the photos in your Drive account.

Cons:

Google Slides could probably take some of the great stuff about Keynote and PowerPoint to integrate in terms of a simple user interface and options for AI integration.

Good Powerpoint alternative with powerful sharing and real time collaboration features

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: Google slides is a good powerpoint alternative that integrates well with Google drive

Pros:

I think that they have done a good job with Google slides. The interface seems less cluttered than Powerpoint. It uses the same sharing interface as the other main Google apps like Docs etc. Integrates well with Google drive.

Cons:

I would like it if you could insert videos other than just ones hosted on Youtube eg Vimeo etc.
