Microsoft Teams make's working from home easy

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: As stated above it makes working from home easier. As we can stay in contact and do almost any other tasks.

Pros:

Using the Teams app or Web interface we are able to instantly chat or make calls to other colleagues or customers. Share and collaborate on documents. And many more. As its part of the Microsoft 365 product bundle

Cons:

Bandwidth utilization can get a little high when doing video calls.

A must have for supply chain desk job

5.0 last month New

Comments: I am a supply chain analyst. I work with many people on the same site and other site than me. I use team daily for chat, call, web conference and screen sharing for critical operation business (supplier review, procurement crisis) and reporting. I also use daily the task planning tool, the channel and file sharing capacity. My organisation often host webinar and training on teams accross the whole company and I join them gladly. Despite being host online it's super dynamic and run smoothly even with dozen of viewer.

Pros:

I really like Teams. Beyond chat and call functionnality the whole environnement with channel and integration of sharepoint and microsoft planner really make teams my hub for internal communication and my task planning and tracking. I also like that teams close the distance with my colleague working full-remote or that are located in another factory or office accross the world. The output of my communication with these colleague is far better than when I was limited to strickly mail and phone from time to time.

Cons:

I am disapointed that teams is only useable within my organisation. I'd like to have similar functionality (even limited) outside of my organisation for other Teams user (supplier, client) it would make life so easier.

Critical missing features

2.0 last year

Pros:

Teams brings it all into a one-stop shop for you, making it super-simple for you to create a comprehensive space for you and your team to work on common work together. So if you're coming from the Skype environment, the idea of managing your contacts, chatting and calling, hosting and attending meetings, all from the same platform, is quite normal. But teams takes it just a little bit further and actually allows you to, not just share content, but store it and access it and collaborate and co-author it at the same time. Just a great opportunity there, really saves time.

Cons:

Critical missing features namely: 1 Inability for co-organisers to moderate breakout rooms. This particular missing feature is the reason why people still are adamant to move away from zoom. I hope it could be introduced in the shortest time possible 2. Inability to create a group without exposing members' details to other members of the group i.e a group or team where members cannot see details of each other's profile or members remain anonymous. An example of this is when scheduling an interview and you do not want the applicants in the same group or team to interact. Microsoft Teams lacks this feature and makes it impossible to hold such discreet meeting of guest personalities whom you want to remain anonymous to each other during an interview

Great software for team work!

5.0 3 months ago

Pros:

I like how our team can communicate in a different way to emails and be working on the same documents simultaneously. It works well for us if someone is in a different location and we can all continue to work on the same thing. The meeting function is really good and has loads of options to choose from, we love the backgrounds!

Cons:

Finding documents is difficult sometimes as there is no search function like there is on file explorer or SharePoint etc.

A must have!!

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: I use most functions in teams but i find it extremely helpful when im on a day off and a mechanic needs help or advice on something.

Pros:

The fact it can be used for business and personal is perfect. I can use the meeting function to chat to team world wide.

Cons:

I cant knock anything really. Im not going to make something up just for the sake of it.
