Simple, efficient – where were you 20 years ago!?

Comments: I came on board to take a small not-for-profit and expand it nationally. Board Pro instantly solved what could have been weeks of designing a governance system. Each month we save hours of administrative work.

Pros:

Board Pro replicates the board governance process that I have used for years. Everything in one place, board packets are easy to produce and modify. Board members are able to use the files as they wish – online or download the PDF. I love the fact that the formatting is automated. Board Pro saves at least four hours of administration time setting up the board packet. The price point makes it easy to decide to go with the software. It is without peer.

Cons:

Small and responsive, the team at Board Pro seemed to anticipate any improvements I could ask for. Impressively, they routinely ask for feedback and ideas.

Alternatives Considered: BoardEffect

Reasons for Switching to BoardPro: the personalised service and contact eclipsed everything else. Friendly, reliable, responsive, a great value-price point.

Comments: Overall, I love BoardPro. The previous platform I was using was outdated and clunky.

Pros:

Very easy to use from setting up meetings, building agenda and adding documents.

Cons:

1. There is no facility to restrict meetings to attendees only, ie. Board committee time. We have a monthly board committee meeting, but there is no facility to restrict minutes, documents and discussion to the board only. Senior management can also access these documents. As a workaround, I must capture these discussions via Word or another software. 2. There is no option for members to "share" their notes or questions before the meeting.

Alternatives Considered: Diligent Boards

Reasons for Choosing BoardPro: Outdated and time-consuming. It did not have the features required as governance software.

Switched From: Adobe Acrobat

Reasons for Switching to BoardPro: Price and had most features we were looking for.

It is Easy to use and Its user friendly

It needs good internet connectivity and power

Great for our Charitable Trust

Comments: BoardPro helps our charity prepare for and run our board meetings with more clarity, accuracy and efficiency.

Pros:

BoardPro offers great features aside from the traditional word processing options that money conscious charities usually default to. I especially appreciate the agenda setting, document upload, personal mark ups/notes and automatic minutes features. It was an easy (and very welcome) transition from using MS Word.

Cons:

It would be great if BoardPro could have any audio/video capture feature to record the meeting and mark that recording with headings. We have looked into software that could facilitate this function, but it would be better if it was part of our Board management software.You could also add "digital signatures" so that appropriate users could login and digitally sign off the minutes.

BoardPro - Great for board management in companies of all sizes

Comments: Great. Very straightforward to use for our team and our Board. Plenty of efficiencies for our small team which has allowed us to focus direct our time toward growing the business

Pros:

BoardPro has provided our small team countless efficiencies in our Board management. The ability to keep minutes, notes and actions recorded all in one place has saved plenty of time for our team and our Directors which would have previously been spent searching through files and email trails to compile information.

Cons:

I can't think of any aspect of BoardPro that would rank lower than existing/email methods of managing our Board activity. No major issues, bugs or areas for improvement immediately spring to mind
