BoardPro has saved so much time!

Comments: Very easy transition to this great tool. From the board's perspective they have loved how easy it is to use, the automatic reminders, how easy it is to get an action point and complete it.

Pros:

BoardPro is intuitive and does not take much effort to learn the basics. There is so much untapped potential in our subscription that I am looking forward to learning.

Cons:

That the agenda item wording does not auto-fill into the decision so I have to type out the resolution again or it doesn't appear on the minutes. It also makes it harder to compare the agenda version of the resolution to the final version.

BoardPro best for our nonprofit org

Comments: Excellent product! I compared to others and by far the best one for my board management. I’m secretary of the board and it makes my life so much easier (and board members love it)

Pros:

The cloud capabilities to work on agendas and minutes from any device at any time. Also the ease of scheduling next meetings and connecting to each other

Cons:

Cloning agendas is a great feature but would be nice if I could see the status and notes of cloned items so I don’t have to open another screen to compare prior results. Also it’s frustrating I cannot switch an agenda item from discussion-type to voting-type. (It forces me to open a vote-type and copy paste the content)

Usability of Boardpro

It needs good internet connectivity and power

How easy it is for our Board members to navigate the product.

Cons:

That the interest register isn’t linked between committees and sub committees

Very good product but would love to see it improve

Comments: Overall, the experience has been positive. The ease of setup and the user-friendly nature make it a good product. However, I would like to see some enhancements, such as the ability to write and change reports attached to agendas without having to reload them.

Pros:

Ease of use, clean dashboard, offers of mini training sessions, ease of customer service

Cons:

The inability to amend Word documents, like in Sharepoint, and having to reload changed versions. This is something Harbour Software, with their DocAssembler product, offers. Also, I would like to use it more widely, but the cost of each separate committee is prohibitive for a not-for-profit.

Recommend BoardPro

Comments: Excellent, massive time saver. Suggestions I have made are well received by help and support.

Pros:

It is very easy to use and makes the admin part of board hui very easy. Love the reduction in manual formatting mahi when doing manual board packs. Also the auto reminders and reduction in emails required to follow up as it is automated.

Cons:

One thing that comes to mind is the inability to take minutes inside the action point section. We quite often spend a bit of time discussing actions and I have to go in and out to find a place to make those notes i.e. general business.

Governance made easy

Comments: BoardPro has become an integral part of our business as we have been experiencing rapid growth. With the use of the full product suite, we are able to cut the time of our board meetings in half - and have more productive meetings than before.

Pros:

The user friendly interface was the first factor that got us on board. Our team comes from different backgrounds and technical abilities. Everyone was able to get in and use the product to its full on day one.

Cons:

I don't have any negative comments about BoardPro. I'm a huge advocate.

BoardPro streamlines Governance processes for School

Comments: The implementation of BoardPro has completely streamlined the Governance process at Hume Anglican Grammar and saves countless hours for the School. Highly recommended.

Pros:

Intuitive interface and processes. Easy to setup and use.

Cons:

Limited integration with Outlook (one-way) means meeting invitations sometimes double up or are out of date. Manual workarounds are possible to address this minor issue.

BoardPro for Schools

Comments: Right from my very first enquiry the customer service has been excellent. The online training was very clear and I was able to trial BoardPro for free on my own, then with the wider Board before committing to a subscription. I would highly recommend this product to any Board Secretary.

Pros:

Very user friendly and logical. As the Secretary of our Board I am quickly and easily able to produce Board Packs and send these out.

Cons:

I would like the ability to allow downloads for specific documents and not others.

New user to baordpro

Board Management software

Comments: I've spent many years on a variety of small not for profits and school boards with little capacity to efficiently organise themselves. We looked at a number of similar products and following a short trial it was clear that was a good fit for our needs. Staff appreciated the ease in setting up agendas and by including recommendations in the agenda minute taking is very easy. Board members appreciate the ease of use, consistency and accountability. Meetings are much easier to chair and the ability to have multiple administrators collaborating on the agenda preparation is a great feature - I love it!

Pros:

It was easy to set up, easy to use and the price is extremely reasonable.

Cons:

None issues to date. Staff are helpful and prompt to reply.

Good choice for our bank board

Comments: Excellent. Our board includes people with a variety of technical expertise. They've all managed to become competent navigating within the system. I'd be very reluctant to move to a different provider.

Pros:

BoardPro is easy to use and more affordable than comparable products. This system has greatly simplified the distribution of monthly board packages.

Cons:

The only real problem we've had was convincing our auditors and examiners that a company based in New Zealand was safe. As a bank, we're under extra scrutiny but the team at BoardPro worked to help provide documentation needed.

A Refreshing and Helpful change

Comments: A refreshing change for our committees which makes for a better meeting experience.

Pros:

It is very easy to navigate compared to our usual system. All documents are in the one place and meeting planner clearly visible. Love the format of the agenda doc, ie hyperlink to the relevant document and then back arrow to the main agenda. Also everyone could use it first time, so very user friendly.

Cons:

I wanted to make my own highlights and notes in preparation for the meeting but the BoardPro Notes version meant the notes were visible to everyone.

BoardPro - Great for board management in companies of all sizes

Comments: Great. Very straightforward to use for our team and our Board. Plenty of efficiencies for our small team which has allowed us to focus direct our time toward growing the business

Pros:

BoardPro has provided our small team countless efficiencies in our Board management. The ability to keep minutes, notes and actions recorded all in one place has saved plenty of time for our team and our Directors which would have previously been spent searching through files and email trails to compile information.

Cons:

I can't think of any aspect of BoardPro that would rank lower than existing/email methods of managing our Board activity. No major issues, bugs or areas for improvement immediately spring to mind

Easy Meeting Management

Pros:

I report to a board of a non-profit organisation, I also volunteer on 3 other non-profit boards, 2 of which have used Board Pro for a number of years. I recommend to the board I report to as it has all the documentations in one spot. its easy to monitor board activity and to commutate with the board out side of the meeting. The flying meet option is well used.

Cons:

Difficulty with logging in sometimes after 6pm NZ time

Easy to Use

Comments: Takes the governance stress out of Board meetings and allows for easy follow-up, and has great visibility of all documents for all members

Pros:

Easy functionality, minutes and agenda super easy to use and very practical. A must have in the Board room.

Not much to dis-like - all very good and easy to use

Ideal for Meeting Agendas and Minutes

Comments: Love it, I wish I could use it for all the Committee meetings I take Minutes for (11 of them!) but they aren't all as formal as the one I do use BoardPro for. I appreciate that it's so easy to edit and update existing Agendas / Minutes and that this can be done without Committee members receiving notifications all the time.I really really would like to win the iPad but I want to let you know that this is a genuine positive review of your product :)

Pros:

Intuitive interface, I love the drag and drop features. Logical layout, easy to use. To be fair I don't use all of the features, but those that I do I really like.

Cons:

When I copy+Paste from another document the formatting needs fixing, also I can't select what font to use to a very large degree so often I have to find workarounds to make things look consistent throughout the Agenda and / or Minutes.

BoardPro Feedback

Comments: Exceptional. The help desk come back so quickly which is important if it is the day of a board meeting.

Pros:

How quickly papers can be uploaded and distributed. Plus being able to quickly amend any documents.

Cons:

Nothing, any feedback initially given BoardPro made amendments to update the system.

Board Of Trustees

Comments: I have used this product for the last 3yrs and it has worked well for our Board. It is easy to navigate, upload docs, print packs, email packs, access help when needed and many many more attributes

Pros:

How easy it is to use and the simplicity of it. Some of our users are not tech savy so this has been great for them

Cons:

Nothing. The areas I use work well for me.

Boardpro goes hard

Comments: Bot my choice to use it but it's very simple and clean

Pros:

Easy to navigate and ease of access was quite clear

Cons:

Sometimes it's a little bit tricky to switch between 'groups' because I like seeing them all there so I would like an all packs button please

It is easy to use, and the regular webinars to help make governance easy to understand

BOARDPRO to the rescue

Comments: The first few meeting were rough, especially on voting, but time and patience has made it invaluable.

Pros:

It has made it much easier to alert our large board to what's upcoming at our next meeting and made it much easier for our staff to keep records.

Cons:

It was very hard for some of the members to get on board but some patient tutoring helped.
