In both cases we made optical modules which contained semiconductor chips, lasers, and printed circuit boards. Our manufacturing process contained over 20 operations, all of which occurred at subcontractors in Asia. With Intraratio products we set up data pulls every 10 minutes and generated real time process monitors. At any time, engineers could pull up a host of real time data showing exactly what was happening: dozens of graphs, each custom designed to display exactly what the engineer wanted, constantly updated with real time data. In addition, this was for an application where serial-level traceability was required. For each module, we knew exactly what semiconductor and laser was used in it and could call up data for those components. I'm not talking about data for the same lot or wafer, data for that particular die. Intratio products are an outlier. It's hard to convey how far ahead they are of any alternatives. First, there's no other product that brings together this functionality integrating manufacturing type data with engineering type parametric data, linking it all together. On top of that, it's simple to implement. The alternative is one of the big behemoth packages that are cost prohibitive for all but the largest companies and take a team of people months to implement. Then guess what, you still don't get the same functionality as Intraratio. I'm not exaggerating. They really are that far ahead. > > **Cons**: I see no cons with using Intraratio products. They consistently exceeded my expectations. They are a small company and therefore their products are not standard in the industry. That is the only drawback. So engineers are required to learn some level of new thing. But that's a pretty low bar. The learning curve to get started with Intraratio products is pretty quick. The superiority of the product outweighs any concerns about going with a small company in my opinion.
