### "A good basic donor management platform" — 3.0/5

> **Pros**: The Keela platform is generally very effective and user-friendly. It covers the core requirements of a donor management platform without being too complex or requiring plug-ins and add-ons.

> **Cons**: We have consistently experienced delays in communication and actioning of requests by the Keela team. As of today our organisation has 3 support tickets open for multiple working days, and there has been no communication about any of these.&#10;&#10;The development team have been kind enough to work on a new way to create customer segments - but have stated that we need to rebuild all of our existing segments ourselves. This is a poor user experience, and does not encourage us to use the segmentation tool, in case it is deprecated again in future.&#10;We would also love to have the ability to build customised reporting, instead of only having a dozen pre-sets to choose from. This would elevate and increase our usage of Keela.&#10;&#10;I would recommend the Keela team review the way support requests are being triaged and see if there is a way to improve this. If that is not feasible, consider adding the most common requests into Keela as a functionality. For example - we would be happy to do bulk management of transactions - but as this functionality has been removed from Keela, we have to wait for the team to action those tasks.&#10;&#10;Our organisation is understanding and patient, so it is the lack of any communication with ongoing requests that frustrates us, as we have no idea what to expect.

> Our experience with Keela has been mixed. The actual functionality of the tool covers 80% of what we need, which we consider good. Because the support team is very slow to respond, this unfortunately counteracts the effectiveness of Keela as a donor management platform.&#10;It is also difficult to connect between Australia and Canada, because the time zones are so different, and we are unable to call the support team during our own working hours. We acknowledge this presents a challenge with regards to communication. It would be great if we could receive a basic written update on our open support tickets, once or twice a week.

As a small nonprofit, we need systems that are easy to use, reliable, and help us stay connected with our supporters. Keela has made donor management, reporting, and email campaigns really intuitive and easy to use.&#10;The integrations with our other programs are also extremely helpful and have made our workflows much smoother. Most importantly, Keela’s customer support is exceptional -the team is responsive, helpful, and genuinely supportive whenever we need assistance. Overall, Keela has been a great fit for our organisation and has helped us work more efficiently while staying focused on our mission.

The interface is clean, intuitive, and much more user friendly than many other donor management systems we explored. Features are laid out in a way that makes day-to-day tasks simple to navigate, and the overall system appears to have a lot of potential for nonprofits looking for a streamlined CRM solution.

> **Cons**: Unfortunately, the staff support and migration experience became the weakest part of the process. Communication was inconsistent, timelines were missed, and serious concerns regarding missing donor data were not handled with the urgency or accountability we expected after investing significant time and money into the transition.

After spending thousands of dollars, including additional import fees, and investing over two months into the migration process, we are still uncovering hundreds of missing donation records. As a non-profit organization, accurate donor data is absolutely critical, and the fact that major donor history was missing is incredibly concerning.&#10;&#10;What made the situation even worse was the lack of communication and accountability when these issues were raised. After escalating concerns involving missing data and discussing stepping away from the platform entirely, responses from our points of contact stopped altogether.&#10;&#10;We understand migrations can have challenges, but the combination of data integrity issues, long delays, poor communication, and ongoing costs made this an extremely frustrating experience. Unfortunately, this process left us with very little confidence in the platform moving forward.

We've been with them for 8 years and it's amazing to see all the new features they've added. We find the email campaign tools are exactly what we need without subscribing to separate e-newletter software.

> **Cons**: While I completely understand the reasoning behind it (not everyone wants or needs it), I wish you didn't have to pay extra for automation. More people would experiment with it and might learn how great of a tool it is, if it were available for everyone. That's the only con that I can come up with\!
