Alternatives Considered:

Zoom meetings: how to do exactly what you promise and nothing more.

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Our primary function with Zoom has been reaching the not so tech savvy users into the remote work environment and then use it as the gate or initiation platform for more job focused software like Teams or Slack.

Pros:

It is a feasible and easy to access tool for even the most basic users.

Cons:

The fact that they stuck with their original functions for too long and did not develop further into the needs of the market that chose them as the default software. To me, a considerable lack of insight and missed opportunity, a huge one.

Improvements Needed

3.0 5 days ago New

Comments: Zoom was a platform I was introduced prior to the pandemic however after the pandemic it became more frequently used. If used it for meetings and for classes however I prefer other platforms. Audio is often unclear and the platform could benefit from some added features to make its use easier for classes.

Pros:

Facilitates classes and meetings Easy to use Free for one hour sessions

Cons:

No warning before camera and mic is opened Audio often unclear

Great for Virtual Training

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: I appreciate Zoom's power as a trainer, it gives me everything I need to make sure I'm providing quality lessons. The video and audio rarely go down as long as you have good WiFi, and the phone dial-in option is great for those with less reliable internet connection. You can easily make sure people are staying engaged and honestly make meetings pretty fun by using the chat feature.

Pros:

I like the screensharing, chat, and survey features most. I lead trainings at least once per week using Zoom, and I can handle groups of 100+ people with no issues. The chat and survey features help me check for understanding among my audience. I like how crisp and clear the video is, it's high quality.

Cons:

There's a learning curve if you want to utilize the full feature set. At the start it's easy to get tripped up when trying to do screensharing during a call, but after you do it a few times, you get the hang of it.

Best app for online meetings.

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: It's the best app out there, even if it has those mini bugs, but overall it's what I choose to use every day and I highly recommend it to you all.

Pros:

Even though I live in Lebanon and we have slow internet, the quality is still the best. It helped me stay in contact with my friends at the university during the pandemic to study for our exams. It's very smooth and easy to use.

Cons:

The only issue is that if I try to connect my wireless headphones during a meeting and they don't work, I'll have to leave the meeting and reconnect before returning.
