Reviews of Filevine

The legal tool that revolutionized my workflow and boosted my success.
Comments: I love that you can configure the platform to my specific needs and customize it to fit the way I work.
Pros:
I like it because I no longer have to search through multiple folders and scattered systems now everything is in one place and I can access it quickly and easily.
Cons:
Well it took me a little time to get used to all the available functions but after I got used to it I made the most of it.
Alternatives Considered:
New Customers still setting up
Comments: a growing company for sure and we want to keep working with them and our rep to make this product work for all areas of our firm (the base product is very PI focused)
Pros:
great rep, [sensitive content hidden] has been crucial to our success with this software and a major part of getting us up and running and continuing on our path
Cons:
training and implementation has taken quite a long time and we are still working on getting everything setup, this software will give back as much as your firm/lawyers/clerks/staff put into it. departments that put in the effort will get a lot of reward from it.

Don’t Buy This. No Support.
Comments:
Horrible. They said they would get some help for me and stick with us. That was more than a week ago.
I should have known something when they wanted to sell me a coaching service for $2,500!
Pros:
I liked nothing about it. It does not work.
Cons:
Zero customer support once they got my money and a signed contract act

Thank you so much for your review, Astrid!
Love Filevine!
Pros:
The ease of use, the ability to text clients and receive responses, the document sharing ability. Being able to put emails in the project with the project email address. Being able to use the product anywhere I have an internet connection and it being fully functional.
Cons:
Doc merge is not very intuitive. When things stop working, it takes a while sometimes for it to be fixed. Still waiting for the ability to save received emails to the project by searching.

We had a very hard time using the Mail Mege / Doc Generator in the beginning.

FV for the WIN!
Comments: Your overall impression of Filevine appears positive and thorough. You value its diverse range of features, such as centralized document management, collaborative case notes, efficient billing and invoicing, well-organized contact database, effective time and expense tracking, streamlined electronic signatures, and strong security and compliance measures. These functionalities collectively enhance workflow efficiency, promote better communication and collaboration, improve financial management, and contribute to heightened client satisfaction. In summary, Filevine emerges as a valuable and comprehensive tool for legal professionals, providing a complete solution for case management and client representation.
Pros:
What I appreciate most about Filevine is its efficient document management, which significantly enhances efficiency, collaboration, and compliance within legal operations. It guarantees that documents are orderly, easily accessible, secure, and current, ultimately leading to improved results for clients and increased productivity for legal practitioners.

Constantly upgrading and improving
Pros:
We came to Filevine from a different case management software system. We loved the look of our prior system, but it was not good for much other than document generation and assigning contacts to the file. We looked at a bunch of other options and even tried one before we went with Filevine. We have been using it since and I wouldn't recommend anything else. There is so much to like about Filevine: - You can text your clients and they can text you right into their case in Filevine. - You can filter the main page so you can see all the texts or all the tasks, etc. - You can share links or .pdfs so easily - We haven't had 1 hiccup in cloud storage or security - The best part is the customization because you can have your Filevine look and act however you want it. - Every Filevine case has a distinct email so that we can either email directly or forward everything we need right to the file. I could go on and on. The point is, choose Filevine and never look back. You won't regret it!
Cons:
The only con so far is directly connected to a pro. Filevine is customizable so the pro is that you can build it to match up with your office. The con that is connected with that is that it takes time to set it up.

Practicing Law for 24 Years, but 1st Time with Filevine, & I Love It!
Comments: I love Filevine. As the title of my review says, I have been practicing law for 24 year and have used MANY types of document and case management software. Filevine is by far the easiest and most user friendly.
Pros:
Extremely user friendly, easy to navigate, easy to search
Cons:
Just the fact that I do not believe I have been taught all that I can do with it. I had trouble figuring out how to save and replace documents, but I now know.

The diamond standard of legal practice management tools
Comments: Filevine has made me far more productive and prolific as a practicing attorney and allowed me to focus on what I am most interested in about the law, because the burden of the drudgery is so incredibly reduced.
Pros:
I honestly don't have time to list everything I love about FileVine. The learning curve was not so much about Filevine as it was about how the firm did business. Filevine is so intuitive and easy to learn. Everything about it makes sense. If there's ever a process we have to tweak or revise or add, it's so easy to do.
Cons:
I really can't think of any significant downsides to this system. I'm just grateful to have it. Every day.

Solo Practioner
Comments: Other than a glitch with keeping texting to the case file working for a few months, it has been very easy to use and helpful for my practice.
Pros:
Filevine is very good at managing documents and case flow. Also, being cloud based, it is accessible on my phone when needed.
Cons:

Filevine: The perfect system for hands on users that want flexibility in their system
Pros:
Filevine is designed for hands on users that want flexibility in their system. The shipped product is rough, but fully customizable for your work flows. Plan to invest significant time on the front end determining how you want your system to work
Cons:
Initially, the data import from a prior system did not go well. I was an early user and the company had "growing pains." Since then, my system works well.
Alternatives Considered:
Perfect for our small firm!
Comments: Fantastic program! Everyone at the firm agrees.
Pros:
I was introduced to Filevine by a colleague several years ago. I immediately was interested. After getting the information and meeting with my boss. We began the process of converting everything into our FV portal. It has been a god-send on staying up to date, getting documents from clients and having everything all in one place. We love it!
Cons:
Would love to send mass texts to all clients.
Paralegal highly recommends Filevine
Comments: I have used Filevine for more than a year now. It's the best case management software I have ever used. It's user-friendly. Managing cases and the dozens of documents, emails, records, etc., is so much easier with Filevine. The software is very efficient and easy to navigate.
Pros:
Filevine is perfect for personal injury firms. Each client has their own file. The folders and subfolders make document management easy. It works well with Vinesign, the program's e-signature software.
Cons:
I really have no complaints. I wish we could add a DOB field for defendants, not just our clients.
I love Filevine!
Comments: My overall experience with the system is fantastic and it's helped our firm become light years more efficient than my previous firm.
Pros:
I love the organization of case notes, text to client, emails to and from the file, organization of meds, doc gen of pleadings and discovery, and much more.
Cons:
It takes some time to customize it to your specific firm needs.
