Housecall Pro is not for the Tech Industry

Comments: I was completely disappointed with them and stopped using them after they charged us for leads that where not relevant to our services and that when contacted would not pan out as leads ready to book and pay for services. TO many leads where cold or deceptive leads.

Pros:

I did not find any pros with it. At least nothing that I couldn't get from some other service.

Cons:

I did not like anything about house call pro. They made it to difficult to properly present my cumpany and services to potential customers. At the time they did not have good keywords nor categories for IT Services. Their pricing and cost per lead was deceptive and many of the provided leads where junk and they still charged us hundreds of dollars for them even when they did not pan out.

Comments: support is aweful, they dont care about customers anymore. They keep trying to add new tings and never fix the old. It become a bandaid upon bandaid

not much anymore. It used to be good, but they keep trying to add thing and nothing works right

Cons:

I hate that they never take responsibility. If you get to talk to someone, they act like you are wasting their time

Terrible experience

Comments: It's my decision if I want to use your product and you haven't respected it. If you spent half the time and money chasing clients into making a better product maybe I would have stayed.

Pros:

It was okay software, not great. It sort of worked but seemed expensive for What you got

Cons:

After declining to keep the free trial they took over a week to cancel so I got charged. Complained that I gave them over a week to cancel and they refunded me but because I'm not in the USA it was less $10 because exchange rate movement. Since I've canceled they have phoned me multiple times each time I ask them to stop calling me and they don't respect it and call back.

Comments: Probably the worst most complex decisions I've made with my business. Its easier to work with a government agency then it has been working with Housecall.

Pros:

Nothing the whole experiences has been horrible. I was promised so much and got so little.

Cons:

After all this mess I should have just stayed with Quickbooks. Now I'm stuck with housecall.

False Advertising

Comments: I am quite sure I said it all above but I hope to provide lots of advertising for Housecall Pro going forward!

Pros:

They have good sales people who do not know the limitations of what they are selling.

Cons:

They did not perform and waisted a lot of our time trying to make it work with our needs and did not offer to refund our money when they could not perform as they claimed they could during the sale!!

Good, Bad & Ugly

Comments: There are many really good thing in the basic scheduling, estimates, service plans, jobs and such. But, my level of frustration with the administrative side of this program is equivalent to how good the dispatch and job creation side.

Pros:

For the most part the base program is really good. Jobs, Estimates, Scheduling, etc. However,...

Cons:

The payroll is so full of bugs it needs several cans of Raid to try to wrangle some of then into the corral. The whole money section is full of blue pigs. I can't even corral those hogs for nothin. And the reports leave a lot to be desired as well. Frustrated...

Was ok but now is a mess.

Comments: went from good to Ok to just been a mess. they get your deposit and keep the money for few daysto play with your money and 2 weeks later you get your payment when customer pay them same day.customer service the worse in the country,Mobile devices are not good with this application because you don't get full menu.super complicated to invoice when you try to collect a deposit and them copy that estimate to a job the deposit won't transfer and that create a mess, and yes it never accurate with QuickBooks. always gives errors. price gone way up and now is not worthy. all customer service now is a bot.

Pros:

Use to be good, never great, but some how for a small business help.

Cons:

worse customer service ever. plus a mess now,after 3 years I give up trying to synchronize my QuickBooks. since they open new office in Colorado this turn to a mess.it is impossible to talk to a real person if you are a customer already.only talk to a real person if you trying to sing on with them.

Comments: Overall the program is great for construction workers. It can use a few tweaks and I think this program could be perfect.

The constant flow of information from scheduling the customer to closing the job.

Cons:

That my technicians try to attach pictures in the app and it is a hit or miss situation.

Something to consider

Comments: I initially really liked the product but as I started using the app and features I noticed that a lot of options that my business needed were just not available. I would suggest making different options available based on the type of business.

Pros:

The app is very easy to use. It is quite intuitive and makes tasks easier to manage.

Cons:

This app is geared toward businesses that are in a specific niche. Like Handyman services and the like but for my business it was not a good fit.

The definitive solution to manage my service business efficiently.

Comments: It is very good the online reservation function has been very convenient, since my clients can schedule appointments directly from my website and it is very easy to do so.

Pros:

I like this platform because with just a few clicks, I can schedule appointments, send reminders to my clients, generate invoices and receive payments.

Cons:

One of the areas where I think they can improve is the customization of the forms and templates. Although there is a good selection available, I would like more customization options.

The essential tool for my home service business.

Pros:

It is affordable. It has an easy to understand user interface. You can reach customer service via email quickly.

Cons:

It doesn't have easy customizable options. It has restrained perimeters regarding entries and invoicing.

Housecall Pro - A services teams dream.

Comments: Amazing experience. Helps us keep track of what needs to be done and where our service team members are. Invoicing in person or online along with notifications has allowed us to get paid in a timely fashion. Awesome product!

Pros:

Housecall Pro is an amazing program that allows our service team members to be scheduled and on track. We can send notifications to employees, clients, rollouts, etc. Invoicing on the spot or online allows us to get paid on time. The calendar sync keeps our employees updated. Database with all notes, projects, contact information, etc. Perfect!

Cons:

There is nothing that we don't like about Housecall Pro. Potentially being able to integrate into Insightly would be a nice touch, which I'm fairly certain that we can we just haven't integrated it yet.
