Reviews of MindTouch
Best Knowledge base I have used
Pros:
There are so many things that I liked about this tool, but the first one I will describe is its search capabilities. It would return the most relevant articles or even suggest articles similar to your keywords. There were also functionality where you could have internal only sections, which was awesome. Then there is a ratings system, so you could see how many people view your articles and how many liked them. It was an amazing tool that we let any employee submit articles and get rewards based on the number written.
Cons:
When we were using the tool, there was not a great way to structure articles, where you just read topic A, next try topic B.
Antiquated product with terrible
Pros:
It worked, but there are way better products out there for cheaper. The onboarding process was good.
Cons:
Antiquated product. The company is terrible to work with. Loose contract language will bite you if you don't tell them you are not renewing in time.
Outdated tool that does not provide a fairly useful, appealing document site
Comments: It's been awful, I don't recommend it to anyone,
Pros:
I don't like it at all. Mindtouch is outdated, the UI looks ugly both for writers and end-users.
Cons:
Mindtouch is an outdated tool designed to simulate a library, an organization that doesn't fit any software documentation site. The layout is unappealing, the information looks ugly and it's hard to find. There is no version control, no collaborative features, no API documentation support. Additionally, it does not let you keep articles, let alone entire user guides private for stakeholders to review prior to publishing.
