Pros:
“Geelus is “THE SOFTWARE FOR TAILORS!” Since we started using geelus in 2008 we are truly on top of our business. We know if we have made a progress since the previous year, we know if we need to advertise more, we know which one of our employees are performing better and we’ve never gone back to the pen and paper. I can see the new orders in the system even when I’m driving (although it's not legal anymore;)) We don’t worry about any backups or where the data is stored. IT JUST WORKS. I truly recommend it to all clothing alterations and tailors specially if you are like us an agent for a dry cleaner!
Cons:
I can't think of any really. Their original software's full version used to work only on my Mac and PC but their new one works like a magic on my mobile phone and tablet too. We've actually added a new tablet to serve our customers faster. Very cost effective.

Great customer service, and I like that it can have very customisable receipts, text clients automatically and that it is designed for clothing alterations businesses needs in mind

Easy to use Program
Comments: I just used this software's Free Trial --- there is definitely a lot of great use and features to running a dry cleaning type business. There were a lot of features that didn't apply to my apparel service business so I decided not to continue using it. For a business with several steps, or processes, including working with others, this software will allow for better productivity.
Pros:
You can track most aspects of running your dry cleaning or alterations or service business, including employees, work orders, projects and timelines, charging and receiving payments. I like how you can send emails to your clients. And also you can keep track of employees tasks and how an item is moving along.
Cons:
The software was not very compatible with my computer and tablet. The programs shut off during use. Also, I did not like the interface, overall design.

Pros:
I am a one-person home-based business and I love that Geelus gives me the ability to automate many of the tasks I was doing manually such as scheduling and confirming bookings, sending order completion s and messages and sending invoices.
Cons:
I would love it if Geelus could integrate with my Google calendar.

Comments: The support is extremely communicative and helpful in solving problems and answering queries, supporting ourselves and our franchisees. Some of our franchisees use the system to track the productivity of each employee, manage corporate accounts, quote on complex jobs and others use it as a sophisticated cash register – in our business one size does not fit all and Geelus provided that adaptability.
Pros:
Alter- It is a franchise chain of 22 Clothing Alteration and Dressmaking stores located throughout metropolitan Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, Australia. When we set up the franchise business in 2002, we formed a relationship with a point-of-sale supplier, who offered a program owned in the USA. In early 2020, we were informed that the US Company had changed hands and that we had 6 months to find an alternate POS supplier. This major crisis led us to finding Geelus. Our early conversations with Geelus were focused on ensuring that our franchisees would be given considerable freedom in running their own business, setting their own prices, and managing their own reporting and information demands. As a Franchisor and Head Office we wanted access to all the information, but we did not want the management function of each system to be our responsibility. We specifically wanted to “liberate the franchisees to achieve what they each wanted from the POS beyond the minimum functionality of writing a ticket and customer collection of garments. Geelus immediately understood what we wanted and then were very proactive in working with us and our franchisees to deliver the outcome.
Cons:
Change is always challenging, and many of our franchisees had used the previous system for many years. Adapting was a challenge but Geelus were supportive, in particular, the support team, in Australia. Our only regret is not switching sooner...

Reasons for Switching to Geelus: Simplicity, highest number of features, being cloud based, highest ranking against competitors and great support was our main factor.
A versatile system that adapts to your business, not the other way around
Pros:
The most impactful feature for our business was the structure of how items and services are set up to show all necessary information on the orders and on the tags. The structure is able to handle dry cleaning, laundry, tailoring, alterations and shoe repairs all at once! Which eliminates room for error. Customer service was very experienced and fast. The transition over to Geelus went so smoothly that I didn't have to lift a finger! Shout out to [SENSITIVE CONTENT]
Cons:
I actually found out about Geelus before Cleancloud, but I chose cleancloud because Geelus' design and branding seemed old (no offense), so I went with CleanCloud. I think Geelus needs a new logo and a refresh on the interface! I also tried Cleantie for a month and it seemed nice but it doesn't come close to Geelus. I wish Geelus would have an open API!
Alternatives Considered: Cents, Enlite POS and Starchup
Reasons for Choosing Geelus: CleanCloud wasn't as robust and stable as it seemed. A lot of issues and angry customers when it comes to SMS messages. Issues with the employees not knowing what kind of jobs that need to be done on a garment. It wasn't tailored for other businesses other than dry cleaning and laundry. Cleantie was a lot better but still not quite there yet.
Switched From: CSI Platform and CleanCloud
Reasons for Switching to Geelus: Starchup wasn't available in Norway. Enlite and Cents was tailored for dry cleaning and laundry.
Best costumer service!

[sensitive content hidden] has helped me set up mutiple businesses and is so quick to reply. He’s helped me a lot and made it very simple to set up my business. He’s very patient and passionate with what he does. His former college [sensitive content hidden] just recently helped me set up another business program and I’m very thankful to have so much support. They definitely made it easy for me. So much thanks to them!

I like that its easy to use and it’s a very simple app that doesn’t over complicate where to navigate what I need.

The system is very convenience and my customers are giving me great reviews about the text messages I send them for their orders. Now my invoicing is very professional, my appointments are automated and customers love the reminders. The entire system is great!

The appointment cancellation is not supported yet but they promised it'll be there soon.

Being an owner operator everything was paper based. I had no way to sort out all the clothing items by due date, resulting in lost customer satisfaction from them coming in, asking if somethings ready and it isn't.

Best decision we have ever made!
Comments: This Software has been a God sent to our business. We went from hand writing our tickets and manually calculating everything to implementing this software and saving ourselves a ton of time and headache. I love how easy it is to use on a daily basis like we do for our alterations business. It's great how it can handle the large volume of tickets that we process everyday and our processes that used to take hours to do, now take only minutes. Overall, I am really great full to have this software running our company and helping me handle daunting tasks of data analysis with ease. Love every aspect of this software. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to spend less time on the paperwork of running a business to really being able to focus on the client. My only regret is not finding this software sooner and being ahead of the game in our industry, as opposed to playing catch up.

Easy to Navigate, User Friendly, Customizable for the individual business, Able to run lots of different reports that help productivity, Easy to setup and edit features. All in one software for services performed, products sold, employee time-sheets, productivity logs and lots more.
Cons:
The new version of this program works out a lot of the kinks of the older version and is much more user friendly and works on all types of devices.
A truely industry specific POS system with innovation front of mind

Pros:
The software is continuously being updated and changes made to better support the user experience. An impressive and timely change log is being uploaded regularly with clean and clear instructions on how to implement. If you are lucky enough to get the guru [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] as your Account Manager you will be able to have any question answered with confidence and in a timely manner. The workflow m, scheduling and time management functions help with identifying staff issues and training opportunities. It allows for contractors and protects the business with its user access level functions. The new booking system integration and customer app function is another example of how they focus in driving efficient practice.
Cons:
I would like to see the user interface move more towards the modern style “skin” where it still has a look and feel of a dated program. This is cosmetic only. I would like to see integration with Quickbooks payroll and inventory management. We need more options for integrated eftpos users and online merchants.
The only software you should use for Alterations
Comments: My overall experience has been beyond the expectation from any software. What could I want more when I have an excellent software with an excellent support and excellent features?
Pros:
I've been using Geelus since 2012 in my stores and it's been amazing! I can still go back to 7 years ago and see how my store has been performing back then. It's the go to software for most (if not all) alterations and tailoring businesses.
Cons:
I have recently switched to their new software which is released last year and I should say it's great as well. No negative points about the software but the only thing is that when I switched I wasn't able to bring historic data. I can however access my past records through the previous software but it would have been more convenient in the new app.

We are thankful for the program and appreciate the immediate response time when a question arises from their customer support. I've had the same representative call me and handle all of our concerns for the past 6 years we have been in business. We are family owned so we appreciate talking to the same person all these years.

I was able to connect cash register to software initially, but lately it doesn't sync.

Amazing software coupled with an outstanding staff
Comments: My overall experience has been extremely pleasant. The team has the best customer relationship manager out there. He makes sure to get all my questions answered. He is responsible and extremely responsive in meeting deadlines and solving urgent matters.
Pros:
I love the simplicity and use of Geelus and also the fact that is in the cloud. The team continues to push out new features and I like that the system continues to evolve, as my business does. Coming from tailormax (which is outdated and terribly run software), I appreciate that the Geelus software is new and cutting edge. They understand the needs of their customers and will go to great lengths to achieve their happiness and satisfaction. The system is very easy to use once you get set up properly.
Cons:
I think the software can continue to get more advanced but I am absolutely confident that the team at GEELUS will do what it takes to get there. I am looking for more management and oversight ability across my multiple locations. More advanced reporting as well.
User friendly
Comments: I have love using Geelus as its easy and straight forward i rarely need to call for support but when i do its quick service and any problems or queries i have are solved pretty much instantly.
Pros:
Straight forward and easy to use and understand. It has all the tools I need to run my business.

I am still getting used to the new software so at the moment i am just disliking the icons. For example the check button is not as obvious as the previous version.

Pros:
We've been able to do credit cards, used the excel exports a lot. This is to help me keep track of all employees time logs as well as knowing who is doing what. I've been using their old software and now that I switched to the new one, I'm really happy.
Cons:
The payroll system for the new one VS the old one, does not yet help with Nevada state regulations. I have 3 shifts and I need to manually log out staff.

The best software ever
Comments: Great experience so far.
Pros:
It's easy to use, learn and I enjoy working with it everyday. I like how easy it is to serve the customers and making sure jobs are done on time before the customers come to collect. The receipt is what it should be and in general I'm really happy.
Cons:
IMO, the only thing missing was the quote feature and it has been added literally 2 days ago.
