Reviews of Mailchimp

Alternatives Considered:
Extremely easy to get started with and highly reliable.
Comments: A fantastic yet straightforward product that effectively addresses deliverability issues.
Pros:
SMTP integration is an excellent option for non-advanced users, allowing you to start within hours, if not minutes. The reporting tools are also great.
Cons:
I wish there was better integration between Mailchimp and Mandrill for transactional emails. It would be great to track open and click rates for both marketing and transactional emails together.
Alternatives Considered:
Very advanced and hassle-free email marketing software
Comments: Mailchimp has been a great boon for our email campaigns. We usually only run a handful regular emails each month, and we haven't really had anything to complain about on the email side. It's very easy to upload contacts and set up campaigns, and the reporting features are pretty advanced. It was also easy to set up which was a big plus for us. Good solution overall.
Pros:
I think we've benefitted the most from being able to pick and choose a design from the library rather than having to design something from scratch for each email campaign. Our design team is very very small, but thanks to having the email library, we've managed to minimize the design requirements for almost all email types.
Cons:
Some of the secondary modules don't work well. We wanted to switch from our survey tool to Mailchimp's survey module but the features are lacking and usually far behind our current solution, namely for advanced form fields like embeddable widgets and the calculated field option

Alternatives Considered:
Decent email campaign
Pros:
I like that I have been grandfathered into some of the features you now have to pay for such as a work flow. Mailchimp is fairly user friendly.
Cons:
I don't like how at the free version you do not get any support what so ever. If my grandfathered in features were to be shut off I would not pay to use the software, I would just switch to a different platform.

All-in-one marketing Software even for independent busineses.
Comments: It's our favorite. I work with it, the team works with it. We design lead forms, and marketing templates with MailChimp -it's an amazing tool to try.
Pros:
MailChimp offers an extensive range of comprehensive marketing features that help our marketing team create social media marketing templates, lead generation forms, and email templates and it's easy to track sales performance and campaigns as well.It is easy to set up and integrate with WordPress and is also simple.Advanced features like automation & segmentation help us to seamlessly manage our contact lists as wellas we get to set automated email sequences based on specific triggers like new quote requests, and new leads obtained through direct signup forms, and newsletters. It's time-saving because we do the hard work once.
Cons:
While Mailchimp performs incredibly well there are a few things I would like to see being adjusted.- The quality of design templates that MailChimp offers is very limited. For instance, advanced customization requires coding skills, and even though I face no problems with these, however, those who are not code-savvy won't find it easy to achieve certain designs.- Advanced segmentation & automation are only available in the expensive plans.- MailChimp doesn't offer new users the ability to test its pro features. With this, it will be difficult for a new user to predict whether or not it's the right tool for their needs. If some of these factors are taken into consideration, I firmly believe that MailChimp will be a better tool.
Alternatives Considered:
Excellent User Friendly Autoresponder
Comments: Overall, it's a really great autoresponder that stays up to date and current and the pricing is incredibly competitive.
Pros:
It is very user friendly. I set up Mailchimp for many of our clients and it is the most user friendly that we have found while also constantly updating to stay current with the market. The inclusion of Journeys was a very solid move for Mailchimp and made them more in line with Keap and others.
Cons:
Customer service is lacking and only available if you pay for it.
