### "A practical way to understand employee engagement across four schools" — 5.0/5

> **Pros**: HiveHR helped us engage employees from four schools at the end of a very demanding academic year. Sixty-five out of seventy employees joined the challenge, including teachers, administrators, managers, school leaders and support staff.

During the four-week pilot, employees exchanged around 1,000 thank-you messages. The application was easy to use, and the HiveHR team managed the implementation and supported us throughout the entire process.

The most valuable result was not only the number of interactions. We were able to see informal leaders, understand which professional qualities colleagues valued in each other and identify employees who were highly engaged in the future of the organization.

> **Cons**: We would like to have more detailed reports for comparing engagement between different schools, teams and employee groups. Some employees also needed additional reminders during the first days of the challenge, although participation increased quickly once they understood the mechanics.

> Our goal was to finish the academic year on a positive note and strengthen the team before the next school season. May is an especially stressful period for teachers, with exams, reporting, parent communication and preparations for the end of the year. HiveHR helped us reduce tension, improve morale and remind employees that their work was noticed and appreciated.

The pilot also gave us valuable management insights. Based on participation, the content of the thank-you messages and the connections between employees, we could identify informal leaders, recognize teachers' strengths and see which employees might be at risk of leaving. Later, some of these signals were confirmed when several employees decided not to continue working with us.

The challenge also created space for new initiatives. During a team meeting, one teacher suggested organizing a large summer camp as an additional employment opportunity for teachers. The idea received strong support from colleagues, and we successfully launched the summer program.

Overall, HiveHR gave us information that we would not have received from a standard employee survey.

> **Pros**: HiveHR showed us things about our company that our regular HR tools never picked up. We ran a four-week pilot, and 86 out of 100 invited employees actually joined in- we saw almost 1,800 peer recognitions in that time. We could finally see who the real go-to people were, and we spotted a couple of employees who seemed isolated or overloaded before it became a problem. Setup was painless too - no technical integration, barely any admin work on our side.

> **Cons**: Honestly, our biggest issue was that four weeks just wasn't enough. The pilot surfaced some really interesting patterns, but we'd love to see how they evolve over six months or a year. So this is more a limitation of our initial pilot than a complaint about the product itself.

> Very positive. The standout moment for us was one employee in an administrative role who kept showing up in recognition patterns for things you'd normally expect from someone in HR. We ended up moving them into an HR-related role - something we probably wouldn't have considered based on formal reviews alone.
