> **Pros**: Been using Nickel for almost a year now. Switched to it from Melio. We love that the most basic features are free and we really don't need to upgrade at all. We also love that it's super easy to use and secure (we can send payment links to our vendors/subcontractors to request their preferred payment methods and we never have to worry about transposing any numbers etc).

> **Cons**: Downside is that we are an accounting firm using it for our clients AND our own practice and there is no way to allow our firm members to see ONLY your client's Nickel profile and not our firm's Nickel profile as well (so, all our independent contractors can see how much we pay eachother). Other downside is that Nickel USE TO advertise that it was for the construction industry and USE TO provide a service where it would take care of lien waivers for you. They have since stopped doing that - and that really really sucks for us.

> **Pros**: I love that there are free ACH bank transfers and the ability to apply a 3% fee to credit card charges so that my business can keep 100% of what I charge and the customer has the option of not paying more to make a transaction or the option of convenience. It's a win-win for everyone.

> **Cons**: The biggest issue with Nickel is that it doesn't have a phone app. The website is borderline unusable on a phone browser.

> Payments go through smoothly. The web portal is minimalist and easy to use. I was able to get up and running within minutes. It's great that you can assign a branding logo to your invoices.

This ease of setup was instrumental in getting started with Nickel without facing any challenges.
