Things like showing which accounts have been reconciled, transactions without payees, any inconsistencies in transaction categorizations is extremely helpful to streamline monthly bookkeeping. They are continuously updating their product and adding features. I especially love that they integrate with BOTH QBO and Xero. > > **Cons**: Although I love the majority of Keeper (now called Double), I really struggled with the UI design. Perhaps it's just my neurodivergence, but I wish the menu's were on a sidebar rather than a top banner. Overall, I found the software difficult to navigate. I also prefer flat rate software rather than pay per client models. I found the template library to be limited compared to others. Overall, some features- such as recurring client requests/tasks (important for monthly clients)- to be less straightforward than competitors software. Keeper (Double) at this time lacks an invoicing feature as part of the CRM; for me this is a major drawback as I prefer to keep billing centralized in my Clients Portal for their convenience and to keep my tech stack streamlined. > > Overall, while I love the suite of features, the UI layout stops me from diving all in and canceling my primary CRM for bookkeeping. To compare it, it just feels like trying on a pair of pretty shoes only to find that they're not the right fit. If a person thrives with top banner UI layouts and wants a very feature heavy CRM for their bookkeeping business, I would absolutely recommend it. However, if you're a sidebar type of person, it may not be the right fit.
