However, what's really nice is how seamless it blends in. It monitors your calendar and Teams/Zoom/etc. and automatically joins with you. You can remove it from any meeting if desired, but otherwise, it joins in silently, and then gives you a summary at the end - with action items, and importantly, hyperlinks to the relevant part of the meeting so you can always go back and review the recording and transcript. There's a paid tier for teams to collaborate, but for free you still have a personal assistant that keeps you on top of all your meetings. It's easy to review the summaries and to check off the action items. What this means is during the meeting you are free to engage, talk, collaborate - without worrying about taking notes or being distracted. It also does a better job than I can of understanding all the nuances of some of my English-as-a-second-language colleagues. You can also hook it up to a CRM so your call summaries are auto-filed there. > > **Cons**: There's not a lot to dislike, particularly given it has a free tier. However, I suppose some minor wish-list items are that I could personalise the AI assistant so when it joins a meeting it has a particular image/name, but that's very trite. Sometimes it doesn't quite understand my good old Australian accent properly - but this gives us a bit of a laugh at what it thinks I said. We can figure out what was meant and it's not a problem, though one feature request could be that we can edit the summary and perhaps train the AI on these misunderstandings. > > Fathom helps me keep on top of meetings\! It's awesome for this. Some issues: 1. We have daily standup, and it's my practice to type dot points with the summary and action items as people speak. Sometimes I get it wrong. Sometimes I miss what's being said. Now I don't have to do any of this, and simply be part of the conversation, knowing the summary/actions are being created. 2. Sometimes I have meeting after meeting and forget what I committed to do three meetings back\! 3. Sometimes I don't quite pick up some of the conversation, particularly if the line is a bit bad or if the accents are hard, or, let's be honest, if my mind wanders. However Fathom gets it all. Ultimately, Fathom helps me have a record of all my online conversations with a summary and set of actions and is excellent and awesome for being able to cover everything that must be done and review what was discussed.
