Vieth is great with making changes for the better. If it is outside of the normal system requirements there will be cost associated however with our last system we could not customize anything.

Cons:

Also most admin functions are global for the organization, rather than restricted for which person or data fields they can access.

Attractive front end and excellent support. Spending 25% fewer man-hours in system.

Comments: Decreased our website/database cost by 20%, decreased our staff man-hours in the system by 25%. Easy enough to maintain that we were able to bring daily management of website back in-house.

Pros:

All the energy is on the front-end to build. Once up and running it is a champ. Custom set-up from beginning. Team meetings were productive. Support for migration was superb. Launch date was met. Response time is always impressive.

Cons:

Not for those without some computer/database experience. Migrating from one database to another is never an easy task. That being said - MemberLeap was pretty uneventful from start to finish.

Comments: Having used other software and been in association management for more than 20 years, MemberLeap is a great value. The MemberLeap team is very responsive if we have challenges., and if we can't find how ot use something, they will walk us through instructions.

Pros:

Membership database management is flexible with fields - which makes bringing in old material easy - even if you don't use it, conference and event registrations is very user friendly, we use the proposals module to solicit and grade abstracts for our medical conference. The communications (email) piece is great, and the ability to email groups within the database and within modules is also great. I LOVE the Quickbooks integration - you can match up your budget line items for automatic reporting in Quickbooks. The website module is super easy to build and maintain our web pages.

Cons:

I didn't like that the events and membership modules did not talk to each other much, but MemberLeap is making strides to change that aspect. Archives are okay, but it would be great to have a way to actually share files (like in google docs or dropbox). I would like to see updated training modules to match some of the newer features.

Comments: They hit the target date of launch and helped with the transition. Once setup and we began using it immediately. The build out of our first event took some time.

Pros:

Event setup was straightforward Registering and recording attendance

MemberLeap Helps Volunteers Run Non-Profit Association

Comments: We have a good working relationship with MemberLeap. They offer a good overall product for Member Management, Member Communication, and Event Management at a good price. They have many more capabilities that we have not taken advantage of. When we have needs that are beyond the current capabilities of their system they work with us to do custom programming to meet our needs at a reasonable price and on a good implementation schedule. We appreciate their service, agility, and flexibility.

Pros:

We are a 100% volunteer non-profit trade association with over 2,000 Members and have been happily using MemberLeap since 2017. The MemberLeap team made switching providers easy. We like that MemberLeap is strong in Member Management, Member Communication, and Event Management. A very small group of non-technical volunteers is able to manage a very professional looking website and handle all aspects of Member and Event management thanks to MemberLeap's easy to use interface. MemberLeap's customer service is very good and there is a detectable desire to serve their clients.

Cons:

The only con we have experienced is the inability to issue refunds via the system through our payment gateway. Luckily we have so few refunds it a minor inconvenience. Anything else that we have found difficult has successfully been mitigated by training and assistance from the MemberLeap team.

MemberLeap software implementation

Comments: We converted a GoDaddy website with Wufoo for forms, Excel for membership tracking, and Constant Contact for event tracking. MemberLeap combined all of that into a sleek, easy to manage system that is extremely user-friendly. The implementation process was extremely smooth, and responses to our questions were virtually immediate. The member management system is highly customizable, and therefore fairly labor-intensive to implement, but the implementation consultant was extraordinarily responsive and helpful with ideas on what options would suit our organization best, even when it took several iterations to settle on a particular direction. It seemed we were implementing additional functionality every week, and I don't know how our organization would have been able to manage our most important function, which is to review non-profit grant applicants and award grants, during this pandemic without this system and their integrated Zoom platform. We built the website and implemented the member management system with online join/renew functionality, profile edit capability, committee signup, committee email/message boards/document archives, online forms, surveys, elections, invoicing, and online learning courses, in a rapid 4 months. Even after implementation, we are very impressed with the rapid customer response when we have questions or issues.

Pros:

All of the modules are fully integrated rather than being third-party sourced, so the functions are faster and data has full integrity. The modules are also available to be turned on as needed if a phased-in approach is required. In addition, there is the ability to set up committees (aka projects) with an autonomous ability to manage internal emails, calendars, message boards and document archives exclusively and confidentially within each committee.

Cons:

The administrative functions are fairly basic. Although most of the major admin functions can be assigned to a specific user which is a positive, they can't be defined by role which requires a bit of maintenance as people move around in roles. Also most admin functions are global for the organization, rather than restricted for which person or data fields they can access.

MemberLeap is Amazing!!

Pros:

We have been extremely happy with the features and benefits that MemberLeap has brought to our association!! They worked with us to customize a number of things we needed and it has been a fantastic experience!!

The back end is very user friendly and I love that I am able to customize areas that best fit our demographics.

Cons:

Billing for non-dues activities is not as intuitive as I would like for it to be.

Comments: They are good company with an [sensitive content hidden] who understands their back office which is their software. Their sales team is highly qualified. Their customer service after the sale is very good and they get back to the client normally within a few hours on the day that you submit an issue or question.

Pros:

The company works with the client to solve the needs of the client. The [sensitive content hidden] is not afraid to engage with his team in order to achieve the customers goals.

Cons:

We became a customer during a time when they had some support staff issues which they resolved so that we could complete our base project.

Pros:

The sky is the limit with MemberLeap! The number of existing features is truly amazing, and the list keeps growing! It seems that most times we look to the software for a solution to our problem, it already exists. And if it doesn't exist, the Customer Support experts are willing to meet quickly and discuss a customized solution. Couple that with the fact that the Customer Support experts are dedicated to timely and thorough responses, and it's hard to find a more customer-friendly software option

Cons:

There are a lot of features available and sometimes it is hard to know whether you should be using a feature in your business or not.

Member Relationship Management for an Advocacy Organization

Comments: Our experience has been great. MemberLeap provided significant and timely support during the website design process and during the process to cut over from our previous site. The website they designed is very visually appealing and has the functions we wanted. The site is fast and works well. Contributing content, creating events, launching newsletters and all the other main functions are as easy to perform as we had originally assessed.

Pros:

We selected MemberLeap for its comprehensive range of functions, the ease of administration, and the quality of the online help resources. We also liked that it is owned by a website development company since we planned to use it as the foundation of our website.

Cons:

MemberLeap could use more member engagement tracking metrics, and easier means for reporting them.

Our review of MemberLeap's product

Comments: MemberLeap offers a software program unlike anything we have used before and couldn't be happier. The functionality is amazing and the software is current. We are a non-profit so we also really appreciate its affordability and there are no hidden costs.

Pros:

It has all-in-one features that has enabled us to eliminate multiple other programs we were utilizing. The software has a plethora of customization options and any specific functionality we have added has been handled flawlessly by their team pf programmers.

Cons:

If I had any suggestions it would be to increase the training sessions when going through the onboarding process. However, with that in mind - the ongoing response times for any inquiries we submit have always been amazingly fast, efficient, and extremely helpful!

MemberLeap has been a great addition to our HOA

Pros:

Our HOA has been using a Vieth Consulting Website and MemberLeap since 2007. A few months ago the Website was totally redesigned and we received the latest software version of MemberLeap. The latest version included so many more features that had been added, or we didn't know how to use previously. Vieth Consulting was great to work with for the redesign as well as teaching how to utilize all of the new features, such as Events, Surveys, Committees, Reservations, etc. Whenever support was necessary, they responded very quickly and appropriately. I like how using "Configuration", there are many settings that can be set or customized for what you might need. For example, it can be Configured for a very large organization or a smaller one like ours.

Cons:

Really, no cons, that I can think of. A few times, I was confused about how to set something up, but the Web Developers or Support were there to help.

Great software for membership management and more, plus a good value

Comments: MemberLeap is a great team of software developers who are very professional, responsive, and helpful. They respond to my issues very quickly and give accurate estimates for changes. Many functions that I question them about - they can tell me quickly how to set things up myself and that way I don't have to keep asking them the same questions!

Pros:

We use the member database, communications, dues management, and website most, but we also try to use everything that is available.

Cons:

Would appreciate release notes before changes are made to the common application

Comments: My overall experience with MemberLeap is VERY Positive. SInce we signed the contract, the company has been very responsive to our customization requests. We are a unique organization and the MemberLeap system was easily adaptable to our needs.

Pros:

The software is easy to use. The implementation was easy. Data conversion was extremely easy as the fields were mapped to our system.

Cons:

None. We have been extremely pleased with MemberLeap since 2013.

Vieth Consulting Employees are Fantastic with MemberLeap!

Pros:

MemberLeap gets the job done and is fairly user-friendly. Vieth Consulting is top-notch. They have been the most professional, efficient, and friendly staff to work with and always have our best interest in mind. We are a small nonprofit with unique needs and they have worked well with us to understand those needs. Vieth Consulting staff have been such a pleasure to work with over the past 14 months. Professional, friendly, and efficient with a fast turnaround time on help tickets.

Cons:

There are a few things that have come up for our specific needs that could not be adjusted without customization and many times we have had to find a work around BUT every staff person I have dealt with at Vieth Consulting has been fantastic in helping us find those workarounds when needed. When we do need customizations, they always finish them promptly. We are still finding issues as we go, but if there is an easy fix, or if it was something we did incorrectly on our end, Vieth staff help us find the solution.

User-Friendly and Intuitive Product with Excellent Customer Service

Comments: The process from the initial sale, product demonstrations for our association, and implementation has been very smooth. The MemberLeap team kept us informed during every step of the process and they've been very responsive to any inquiries we've had.

Pros:

MemberLeap's product is very easy to navigate. We moved from a website provider who did everything for us to one where we have much more control and access to make changes. The training sessions were very helpful and the library of other support items (videos, tutorials, text documents, etc.) is extensive.

Cons:

We've not yet encountered any significant negative experiences with the software. As with any new product there are sometimes things you have to work around.

Pros:

Pros:

I really like the broadcast messaging feature, which adds a level of professionalism to my communications to members. I also like the billing system, which automatically invoices members, and reminds them when their membership fees are due!

Cons:

Sometime very minor errors lead to big problems. For example, if I don't put "http:/" in front of the website address when I'm creating a form, it will cause an error for users. However, the staff is fabulous and very responsive.

Comments: We are a state-wide organization that provides professional development for the field of volunteer engagement through networking, idea exchanges, training, and an annual conference. We use this website to manage our membership, communicate with our members, and market our training and annual conference. The site allows for public pages and pages for member access only. Veith's web designers worked with us to build the site and the appropriate pages. The back end is very user-friendly and intuitive. It is easy to navigate, change, add or update information. The event registration module allows complete customization. All of the modules have robust reports. The built-in 'Help' system is very complete and easy to access. Their customer support is unparalleled. Email queries are answered swiftly and unlike many other websites, the staff answers the phone to help solve issues. I would recommend this business and their talented group to any organization looking to build a new or redesign an existing site.
