Il software, che si presenta con un interfaccia user friendly, consente in pochi passaggi di creare nuove progetti e dettagliarne ogni aspetto: risorse assegnate, budget disponibile, tempistiche attese. The reporting capability is limited in that it is primarily textual and any thing more requires custom coding. The product uses a difficult-to-use project task building and maintenance system for managing project schedules. > > This product was chosen by the PMO Director and I was the PM to implement the product along with my fellow PMs in the PMO. The implementation was straight forward and facilitated by the vendor. The training by the vendor was good, but the documentation and training materials are wanting. The system was rolled out to the entire IT department, but only the PMO utilized it. Other groups within IT found the product difficult to use and understand. Because the PMO used the product daily, the PMO found the product serviceable, but the clunky interface made it difficult at times. The product was discontinued from service here at CCHS, but the vendor was helpful in turning down and archiving the information. The system is a capable system for tracking and rolling up large portfolios of projects, so in that I can recommend the system. Il software è un grado di gestire un portafoglio di molteplici progetti, categorizzandoli in base a diversi criteri: priorità, budget disponibile, stakeholder interessati. È possibile utilizzare gli strumenti di PPM per definire la timeline di un progetto, anche rappresentato il tutto mediante Gantt, delineare il budget e gli FTE necessari per il suo completamento. A progetto in corso, inoltre, si può monitorare le stato dell’arte dello stesso, orrendo un dettaglio sul rispetto delle scadenze, sulle spese sostenute e sulle ore impiegante; questo consente una migliore gestione delle risorse disponibile evitando ritardi monster e mantenendo la sostenibilità finanziaria del progetto. > > **Cons**: Per le mie esigenze non ho rilevato particolari aree di miglioramento. > > Come Manager di un importante società di consulenza mi trovo, quotidianamente, a gestire, per clienti differenti, molteplici progetti in contemporanea. Project Portofolio Manager è un valido strumento per monitorare lo stato di avanzamento di ogni progetto, comprendere i coisti dello stesso, ed intervenire, ad esempio spostando FTE da un progetto all’altro, quando su alcuni cantieri si rilevano dei ritardi. Il software, inoltre, permette di condividere lo stato dell’arte dei progetti con i propri clienti, e con i vari stakeholder dello stesso, in modo tale da tenere tutti adeguatamente informati. ----- ### "Fijn programma\!
