The only CMMS you should consider.
Comments: When we made the decision to choose MaintainX as our CMMS, our account manager was very thorough and helped us to be up and running in a matter of days. We were already gaining benefit after around a month of use. Admittedly the team at MaintainX shouldered a lot of the workload, but it really helped. This kind of support is what I suspect makes MaintainX such an easy choice. People couldn't quite believe how fast we were able to integrate.
Pros:
MaintainX has much to offer. If I were to nail it down to one thing, I would need to point out that the ease of use comes first and foremost. It is the one thing my team have all fed back as the major factor when picking it up for the first time.
Cons:
I don't want to seem negative, because overall, the system is phenomenal. If pressed, I would have to say that compatibility with other software could be better. This isn't really a fair criticism though, as the team are constantly updating the system.
Alternatives Considered: Prometheus
Reasons for Choosing MaintainX: SAP was too challenging for our team, users were leaving shift and getting locked out of the system. We also found that there was a steep learning curve, along with a very limited functionality for maintenance management overall. No real-time updates and we never had the ability to use this with mobile devices.
Switched From: SAP Business One
Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: MaintainX just seemed so much cleaner. The overriding reason was that MaintainX allowed us to make this choice and hit the ground running. Not many alternatives would allow us to be so productive from the moment you install the app.
No Regrets
Comments: MaintainX has transformed the way we manage our machine assets.
Pros:
I chose MaintainX because it is the only CMMS that has a fully functioning app. There is nothing I can do on a PC that I can't do on the app. My maintenance staff all have iPads and can access work orders and asset data anywhere in the shop including user manuals and schematics. No more running back to the maintenance shop to find the manual.
Cons:
The ability to print QR codes would be great.

Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: I chose MaintainX because it had a fully functional iPad app.
decent for an entry level program
Comments: Decent program to track work orders and manage assets. Very easy to use. Mobile app is helpful. not impressed with overall features and functionality. Data input way too time consuming.

Very easy to use, mobile app is helpful.
Cons:
inability to mass edit in spreadsheet format, worksheets are time consuming and basic. Lack space to input details such as component info for equipment, specs, etc. Lack of many desired features and functionality. mobile app doesnt show all info or allow editing of info when it comes to inventory control etc.

Comments: It has been great moving to Maintain X. They always work with us for our success!
Pros:
Maintain X has such great features and after doing A LOT of research and testing of other platforms, out performs all that I have found. It is very user friendly (which is helpful for folks who are used to working on the tools and not as much with technology). The support we get is great - from chat to our account manager. They have always tried to work with us to find ways we can utilize the system in a way that works for us. We use it everyday all day for work orders (Reactive), and preventative (PM) and it has been a dream since we implemented it over a year ago now. We also use another app that has integrated well with helping us automate other jobs that we used to manually put into Maintain X.
Cons:
Pricing is per seat - it would be great if there was a package price for unlimited users or even "up to 30 or 50" users. It would be nice to be able to access reporting on mobile. Would like more than just 1 level of hierarchy (parent/child) in assets and locations.

Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: Cost and positive customer service outreach. You could tell they would give their product active support.
Best CMM program I have used.
Comments: I have work with Emaintenance, Dynway and MP2. MaintainX is the easiest I have used.
Pros:
Very easy to use. The mobile app is one of the easiest I have used.

Can't say there is anything at this point.

The best management program.
Comments: It is easily accessible, user-friendly, and reduces your workload, and your work is more efficient and organised.
Pros:
MaintainX can be accessible on mobile and desktop at all times. You are not bound to long hours of admin responsibilities. You can share and be updated every day.
Cons:
I am happy with MaintainX overall but for improvement purposes: I would add a section in the report export section - Work Orders to include in this date range and add comments in the data range of the report. Add a section to export only done work orders or due work orders separately. Add a section to download the Report on a mobile device.
MaintainX will supercharge your maintenance programs
Comments: I couldn’t imagine managing the facility without it. We had no system when I started. And this has been a game changer. It has taken a while to really get integrated but that’s not the fault of MaintainX, more of the slow restructuring of the entire maintenance program at this facility. MaintainX has been the central tool to help make this happen.
Pros:
Having everything in on place. The more I can stay on this platform the more I can keep things organized.
Cons:
Lack of user tagging in messages, and an inbox to track tagged messages happening in the work order comments module. And there should be more visibility to the conversations happening in the work order. Not really a con but more of a feature request.
Alternatives Considered: eMaint CMMS and Smartsheet
Reasons for Choosing MaintainX: User interface, the software was much less buggy. Better mobile UI, very easy to adopt, very easy to import data and MX will help enter your data. Price. Price is big since we are not a huge facility and it has been a trial run even using CmMS at this facility.
Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: User interface was the first thing. I tried MAintainX before I used upkeep, but after a year with upkeep, MX must have made some UI changes, because I was just exploring other CMMS after the year of upkeep. And after a quick trial I was hooked.
Easy to use Great results
Comments: Overall, maintainX is a great system that is still evolving to meet the customers needs. it has made tracking work orders for both scheduled and unsceduled work very easy and inventory managment is great.
Pros:
it is an easy to set up system, cloud based and moble friendly. The end users can navigatge the system from a phone or tablet with ease to manage assets, find parts, and complete work oreders.
Cons:
Scheduling module could use some help. It is difficult to schedule work that may have a differwent due date that scheduled date. Receiving against PO's is complicated because it does not account for partially received orders.
Alternatives Considered: Limble CMMS, IBM Maximo Application Suite, Hippo CMMS, eMaint CMMS and Fiix
Reasons for Choosing MaintainX: We wanted a system that was going to be easier for the technicians to use and something that would be better for asset and parts managment. it was the most complete product that meet our needs.

Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: This was the most complete system that meet the needs of our company for asset tracking, inventory managment, PM managment, purchasing
A CMMS that fits in you pocket.
Comments: Working with the rep and the guys at MaintainX had been great! They have designed a system that does not need a 500 page manual and are readily available if you have a question or an suggestion. I've seen main of my suggestions implemented in the matter of a few days. They are doing a fantastic job developing this application.
Pros:
MaintainX is very easy to set up and use. Other systems are impossible to setup without outside help but not MaintainX. It is scalable and they are adding new features on a weekly basis. Everyone has real-time updates on work orders so you al ways know the status.
Cons:
Lack of inventory capability but I'm assured it is coming.
Alternatives Considered: Hippo CMMS, MAPCON and UpKeep
Reasons for Choosing MaintainX: It was just too laborious and complicated to manage. Being paper based I would have to review hundreds of pages weekly. Sometimes it would be weeks before I could review a PM and find a problem I should have known about.
Switched From: PMC
Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: Being mobile first was a big factor. Not needing to spend thousands of dollars for help setting up the software. You can do it yourself and MaintainX will help for free. Knowing instantly what is happening, communicating directly with the tech, attaching manuals, photos, videos to work orders it makes you more effective.
A Great Option for Engaging Operations
Comments: excellent, great support from implementation and ongoing support.
Pros:
- User friendly, easy to train new staff - Work order detail including photo's - Built in communication tools - Great filtering options when drilling down on specific data
Cons:
- Asset hierarchy is not robust, however 'location' hierarchy is.
Alternatives Considered: Limble CMMS, eMaint CMMS, FastMaint, NEXGEN, UpKeep and eLogger

Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: Overall higher scores against other providers in key deciding criteria's.
Very Helpful Product.
Comments: Until MaintainX was introduced to our company, maintenance was carried out by talking to the maintenance engineers about what had to be done each day. This was time consuming and little to no records were kept about each asset and its maintenance schedule. MaintainX has enabled us to keep a work order history for each asset/location and provides use with time and cost tracking which we would not have had before.
Pros:
Attentive customer care.Ease of processing work orders.Time and cost tracking.Scheduling repeating and preventative work orders.Constantly updating features and taking feedback from customers.
Cons:
Not many cons with the system. Sometimes it can be frustrating to not be able to search under a specific category, but once you get used to using the filters it becomes easier to find everything you need.
Alternatives Considered: Fiix
Reasons for Choosing MaintainX: Out of date information and was not widely used in the company.
Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: We gathered that there were features on Fiix that we would not need to use. MaintainX gave a more user friendly interface and was lower cost
Grows with your needs!
Comments: We have enjoyed partnering with MaintainX and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been a great asset in getting us what we need to be successful with the product! He helped create some of our procedure pages and that was HUGE!
Pros:
We started using MaintainX about 6 months ago and what we like most is that they are always improving their product. They take what the customer needs and works to implement the closest version of what is needed.
Cons:
The reports are not very easy to filter and are not able to be fully customized, yet. However, they are better than other systems we have seen and MaintainX is consistently improving the capabilities. The other piece I wish was improved is the layout of the exported work order. It is not very pretty and cannot, at this time, be customized to remove the information I don't need.
Alternatives Considered: FieldAware
Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: We chose MaintainX specifically because it was a new and growing product. We felt the products bones were good and seeing where the product was moving was exactly where we needed to be. The cost is on point with the product and is manageable for a newer company, like ours.
Easy for anybody to use
Comments: Overall I have no complaints. MaintainX does everything I was looking for in a CMM.
Pros:
I like how easy it is to add work order, parts and assets.
Cons:
I love that requesters are free it gives people an option to request work when needed. The only thing I wish was included was mabye allow procedures to be done by requesters. Not give them access to change anything but for example. If you had 12 forklift operators then they would be forklift requesters and have one form on their app the would be a daily forklift checklist. Only thing they can do is request work on their forklift and fill out the daily checklist that would come to me.
CHANGES EVERYTHING FOR THE BETTER + MORE MONEY
Comments: Fantastic! Everyone from the team ive spoken with is great. And the product is fantastic.
Pros:
Perfect with a couple of Adjustments (personally) for my unique property management business. I have more time for my family and work, my clients are happy seeing the results easily with the use of the PDF features. And I am making more money as a result. CHOOSE THEM YOU CANT GO WRONG.
Cons:
I had to make some adjustments to the way I do things, which isn't a bad thing. Only improvement I can currently think of is to make it easier to send PDF's to "clients" rather than "vendors" as it would suit my needs better.

Reasons for Switching to MaintainX: Upkeep encouraged me to look for other software due to how my business operates and number of employees.
Biokyowa Maintenance Planner Review
Comments: I am very happy with MaintainX. The customer suport is very helpful. We are able to add an endless amount of information to our database very easily.
Pros:
The user-friendly interface is very easy to navigate. We are able to use this technology with various age groups of technicians and everyone was able to catch on quickly.
Cons:
Our major issue on the software is not having the ability to auto generate new procedures from within a procedure. For instance, if I have a procedure that says "Is a hot work permit required?", If the answer is "Yes", it would be nice for the software to automatically add that "Hot work procedure" to the work order instead of an admin having to add it. It would also be nice if technicians could add procedures on their own from their tablets.
Capstone Review
Comments: Overall I cannot fault this system and would definitely recommend it to anybody.
Pros:
The customer support has been above and beyond. [sensitive content hidden] has been guiding us every step of the way and has been outstanding in setting up our system. He is a credit to the company.
Cons:
I haven't found any yet. The entire process from start to finish and ongoing has been excellent.
Feedback
Comments: Its user friendly and the MaintainX team was very friendly and helpful in getting us up to speed very fast especially during the trial period. So far I am very happy with MaintainX. If the conditioning formatting can be made available as part of its basic features.
Pros:
It has all the basics that's needed for maintenance of assets and ability to include other suppliers to the WO's which is trackable.
Cons:
If Meters can also create a notification especially for vehicle mileages when it is due for servicing based on the odometer readings that is input into the program per asset. This helps track and assist in the maintenance of our vehicles and other assets that requires servicing after X amount of hours or km's of operation.

Easy to use CMMS system
Comments: we have now streamline our work order system with all employees, we now have a database of parts inventory that is tied to each machine and we are able to show cost and time analysis per machine.
Pros:
It is easy for everyone to use, all the requestors had to have was a smartphone and they were able to create a work order
Cons:
it is hard to distinguish between current, scheduled and future work orders in the database. I would also like to see a clear picture of actual downtime of equipment.

Simplicity Through MaintainX
Pros:
I really enjoy the simple user interface and the ability to customize reports, views, and settings. The instant feedback on work orders and field team progress is very helpful. I especially like working with the MaintainX team, they have been a pleasure to work with throughout the years! They've worked hard to bring out features as quickly as they can and really worked to develop an amazing platform.
Cons:
There are some limitations with managing inventory in multiple stock locations. The parts management system didn't fit our use case super well and we found it difficult to fully utilize. I do wish the platform could just do more things in general, which I know they're working on, but it's hard to have a one-size fits all and that's okay.
Perfect software to quickly set up and go
Comments: Brilliant, I was able to dive in head first and get a full maintenance schedule for the next 5 years, along with over 100 assets all with an individual fault request portal, custom servicing stickers for information, all within 1 month of signing up. It has really revolutionised and streamlined our maintenance.
Pros:
The overall set up and integration was extremely easy, a few days sat down with my current schedule and I was able to transfer it all over and create a much better system. As well, the customer service is always very friendly and quick. Also, whilst using it there seems to be constant upgrades to the system based off of user feedback which is nice to see. We use this everyday from service reports to PPM and stock checks. The QR codes for assests are EXTREMELY useful.
Cons:
Some features could be better streamlined to do more complicated checks, but most ideas are possible with the time. Also a more editable request portal would be ideal
