Great software and Support!

Comments: My experience from sale to implementation has been very good. The support team is as good as many have eluded to and both the sales and customer success teams have been very responsive and helpful. The product is heavily used in our Org and plays a critical role in communication to clients. Being able to use the product to quickly get out communication internally and externally has been a huge benefit for us. I am definitely an advocate of AlertMedia!

Pros:

• Intuitive UI • Easy to implement • Great customer service! • Fast sending of notifications • Great feature set • Multi-purpose use cases

Cons:

Aside from a few minor bugs and a few enhancement requests, I haven't had any significant negative experiences.

Alternatives Considered: Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign and Everbridge Mass Notification

An Important Partner

Pros:

Alert Media has been an important partner for us as we manage myriad critical situations in our workplace -- everything from power outages to healthcare clinics for our residents. I particularly like the fact that the mobile app is identical to the desktop app.

Cons:

Alert Media can be expensive and you need to ensure that you don't exceed your limits for texts or voicemail minutes. The overage charges came as a surprise to me -- no one ever provided advanced notice that we were exceeding our limits until it was too late!

Travel briefing

Comments: So far, it's average. I have used other companies and found a much more detailed scope when it comes to information.

Pros:

The ability to send messages and notify others of situations.

Cons:

Lack of information/intelligence. I requested information on a specific town I was traveling to in Mexico and received the whole country's information. I found that already so that didn't help me.

AlertMedia Review

Comments: Overall, AlertMedia is a great product. We don't need to send notifications all the time, but being able to stay updated on anything happening near our offices or employees area of residence brings us a sense of calm, knowing we can quickly alert them when needed.

Pros:

AlertMedia's website is easy to navigate. The real time notifications are great. Being able to communicate with our employees on multiple channels (text, email, voicemail, teams, app) is a major plus. The customer service is always responsive and is quick to resolve any issues.

Cons:

Sometimes you can get over-alerted, but with the addition of Threat Intelligence, we have been able to get that under control. There is also some limited functionality on the mobile app vs the website.

Worth It

Comments: AM gave me several months free to try them out, then gave me a really good deal for the rest of the year. They've been patient with our user increases, our technical questions, and our implementation process. Everyone there has been supremely helpful and if they don't know an answer they get someone online to help. The customer service side of it has been phenomenal.

Pros:

I've been using mass notification systems my entire career, and what I like most about Alert media is the ease of use, the simple interface, the customization, and the multiple paths to communicate. The Threat Map being a free service was a selling point to me, because other companies required us to pay a significant amount of money extra for that feature. My favorite feature though is the fact that I can see in real time what devices were unable to receive my messages. This lets me know the fidelity of my data, if someone may be in a place where their phone isn't working, or if I have to use alternate methods to contact that individual. That feature, the map, and the price were what made me choose AM.

Cons:

I would say that API is a bit cumbersome at times, but other than that I have no complaints.

nothing. i appreciate it all. from the threat intel, the weather, the active shooter, the staff, the tool's ease of use, it is all exceptional!

Excellent Tool

Pros:

The interface is very user friendly and intuitive. It is easy to navigate, clear in design and functionality.

Cons:

I am still learning the tool so I don't have a "least" liked item yet - but I appreciate the opportunity to always ask questions to the support team and provide feedback if there is a glitch.

Comments: I have found this product easy to use and very intuitive. It was very easy to on board and the support team were helpful in getting us up and running.

Pros:

I like that it is very east to use and has the ability to create templates or set up messages on the fly. I also like that you have the ability to create a conference call when sending out a notification to have all the people connect to at that point in time.

Cons:

I would like the ability to drill down and choose specific alerts that I wanted to receive. For example, specific types of crime.

Very Useful During Emergencies

Pros:

I like how easy it is to send notifications, especially during an emergency situation. Being able to save notification templates and saving preferred channel notifications has been a real time saver.

Cons:

Nothing comes to mind. There are no features that I dislike.

So Much More than an Emergency Communications Tool

Comments: Our experience with AlertMedia has been phenomenal. As the head of Strategic Planning, I implement a lot of software. This has by far been the easiest implementation. From researching the company, presenting the added value to the executive team for consideration, contract negotiations with our legal department, and implementation of our niche departments with varying needs, it has been great. The responsiveness of our Customer Success Manager is fabulous - I'm talking under an hour most times. Truly great experience all the way around.

Pros:

This product is so easy to use. It answered multiple needs for our company and allows other admins to take charge of their departments thus alleviating the administrative burden on the top-tier administrator. Buy-in is always a concern when considering a software purchase. With this product, the feedback I have received from department or regional managers is, "If anyone says this is hard to use, they should be fired." This is a win on multiple levels. Plus, all communication is organized and stored for reference later if need be - no endless emails or texts to track down.

Cons:

There are some very specific use cases that the graphical data does not support. However, our success manager was amazing at listening to our needs, evaluating the system's capabilities, and providing a solution that works for us. When I say solution, I am not talking about a workaround that kind of gives us what we need, it answers our need. We just got there via a different path than expected.

Comments: The very best of customer service.

Real time information that not even the news is broadcasting, and the ease of transmitting that information to my staff.

Unexpected Benefit

Pros:

We implemented Alert Media to help with emergency communications to our employees. Who knew it would become a daily screening tool during a pandemic? When COVID-19 struck, Alert Media quickly sent out information to assist administrators in setting up daily screening questions to track COVID-19. We are now using the product to track vaccinations as well. Customer service is excellent too! They have frequent webinars on the product and new features they are offering.

Cons:

This is more of a suggestion for enhancement versus a con. It would be great to have the ability to design a more detailed, expanded survey. Also would be nice if local emergency information was not an additional fee.

Comments: Our partners at AlertMedia have been extremely accommodating to discussing our needs and requests and they have been responsive and easy to work with!

Pros:

It is an easy software to quickly disperse important information via a wide variety of message types. We can obtain a response to an evolving situation quickly and provide valuable situational updates promptly.

Cons:

For our purposes, self-designing a series of dropdown messages would be extremely helpful - not only for the consistency of message being provided but also as a means to link into Microsoft Power Apps and quickly visualize trends and data through dashboards!

Clearly customer success minded!

Comments: Amazing! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] won our account with his dedication to our questions and timely answers (even when he was on vacation!) and then the hand off to our rep, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], was seamless. She is equally dedicated to our success with the tool and is there for us every week to answer questions and teach us more. Pros:

Utilization of the dashboard on my desktop computer is very easy. I have AlertMedia up all day everyday just in case. I like having a mass communication tool across channels at my fingertips.

Cons:

AlertMedia has many features. Occasionally it feels overwhelming to have so many options on the type of notification to send and how to send it.

Customizable!

Comments: We have been able to establish a robust mass notification solution.

Pros:

We found AlertMedia to be a flexible solution to our mass notification platform, where we needed to create specific messaging for distinct groups for high frequency messaging and reporting-- we were able to develop and implement the adequate solution with ease.

Cons:

At times, there are many layers to look at and even though we can sort these out, the dashboard tends to get busy at times.
