Invaluable for Teams

5.0 9 months ago

Pros:

The user interface is extremely intuitive. Plus, the whole system just works smoothly (sharing passwords with groups of people who all have access; creating 2FA codes; creating & sharing passkeys; security).

Cons:

The app is so secure that it can be a little confusing how to set up a new device, but 1Password makes it so simple with their "Emergency Kit" and step-by-step instructions that it's really not an issue.

Best Independent Password Manager

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Excellent company. Fully engaged leadership. They understand their customers and their role. I love the fact this thing works and I love that 1Password is helping me stay current with both operational user security issues as well as new trends. I am betting a lot on any password or security management company - I have confidence in this team. They are good. They get that their daily job is that this has to work and be secure daily - everything else is frosting on the cake.

Pros:

High level of integrity and security Ease of Use Group Functionality

Cons:

I don't have any dislikes about the product. I use it multiple times a day and it works. Working is everything. Added feature bloat is a distraction not present in 1Password.

The best password manager out there.

5.0 last month New

Comments: Overall 1Password is very nice and easy to use. It's a great tool to share password with friends, family and coworker. I use both a personal/family and company account. It's easy to setup unique passwords, store the details I need and input them where needed.

Pros:

It keeps track of all my logins, card details, and other essential information that needs to stay protected. Not only that but it ensure it's available wherever I go. I couldn't live without it.

Cons:

It's Safari extension is horrible, and it drives me crazy almost every day. I know there are other browsers out there but I like Safari and hate how bad the 1Password extension is.

Cons:

On my mac, sometimes it fails to detect potential threats, may be some process communication failure

1Password is fast, secure, and reliable

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: We use a family plan, which is great because we each have our own vault but we also have several vaults we share with each other and with our adult children.

Pros:

It's worry free. I select a category -- login, credit card, bank, driver's license, and many more -- and enter the data. From that moment on, the data is stored securely and is available on my PC and my phone.

Cons:

Occasionally, 1Password doesn't recognize an app on my phone when I need to log in. However, that's not a big deal because it just take a few extra swipes to activate it and copy the required password.

Suitable Replacement for LastPass

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: I have adapted well to 1Password, and I believe that anyone who uses LastPass can easily train themselves to use 1Password.

Pros:

It has a familiar and easy to understand user interface. It performs as designed most of the time, and working around the automated functionality when it doesn't work is easy because anything can be confidentially copied out of 1Password and into the clipboard to paste wherever you need it. My impression is that 90% of the time 1Password works as intended, and the rest of the time I can work around with copy and paste.

Cons:

When importing from LastPass, it did not bring in attached items. It would be great if that import function could be fixed, although I don't need it now, I suppose.

The best in class for Password Management

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Nothing but positive, its a wonderful product, easy to use, supports 2FA and Passkeys and is easy to train staff on.

Pros:

After trying a number of different password managers, such as LastPass, BitWarden and Keeper we settled on 1Password due to its UI, ease of use, feature set and pricing.

Cons:

The fact they don't have a MSP program just yet is disappointing, but as I write this they have just announced that it is coming.

A rock solid password manager

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: At first 1Password was forced on me by my Head of Security however, after deciding to embrace the tool - I really couldn't be without it, its such a brilliant tool and the fact you can use it across devices is great.

Pros:

1Password is hands down one of the best password managers out there. What I like most is its seamless cross-device synchronisation, making it incredibly easy to access my passwords securely whether I'm on my phone, laptop, or tablet. The autofill feature is smooth and reliable, saving me time while keeping my credentials safe. I also appreciate the robust security features, like biometric login and password health reports, which help me stay on top of my digital security. Overall, it's a well-designed, intuitive, and highly secure tool that I can’t imagine going without.

Cons:

I really find it difficult to find any negatives with 1Password at this point in time - it really is a great tool.

They asked for a review so I am giving them a review

4.0 9 months ago

Comments: Up until about a year ago, I would have given it 5 stars. Not that i see the bullsht that the big boys are using against with 1password, it is at a 3.75. Going to be difficult for them to win so they need to start rolling out updates on a quarterly (i know it's insane) frequency. You don't need an update every week for features that no one asked for

Pros:

It has everything in one spot. You literally will not surf the net and will use 1password. The two factor authentication will save you an insane amount of time. Password management is password management. It will generate the password for you in 2 easy steps. Passkeys are awesome when it works. I still don't know where it is being stored. Customer service is tops b/c they get back to you in a hurry.

Cons:

Apple Keychain, Google Password Manager and Microsoft Authenticator are all out to kill 1Password and they are doing a pretty good job. To be honest they have made it so difficult where I am seriously considering dropping 1password. The amount of updates coming thru on 1password are killing the application. They are of the mind of weekly update. That has screwed up so many settings for me and it this is a recent trend.

Multi-platform password and identity management.

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall it's a great tool, it works well and I used it daily. When I first starting using it there wasn't much competition in the way of password managers but now there are a plethora of them, and several other software suites I have provide their own (ESET smart security, Avast and NordVPN) but I have been lazy and paid the annual subscription cost in preference over moving over 1,000 credentials to a new password manager.

Pros:

I've been a very long-time user of 1password. My initial use case was to allow maintaining unique passwords for every website and service I use, while keeping my user details synchronized across multiple browsers and operating systems. For instance, on my laptop I use Windows Edge & Chrome, on my iPhone and iPad I use Safari and Firefox and I have previously used MacOS and ChromeOS which have also used 1password. The best features are the automatic "recognition" of when you visit a website that you have an account with, your are prompted to automatically complete your username and password. It also recognizes when you visit a new website and create a new account, automatically creating a record for that site. It's data is synchronized across all platforms, so if you register an account on your Windows PC, it will automatically be available when you visit the same website on your mobile phone or tablet. Passwords can be used between personal users (family) or work users (teams) to securely store and retrieve authentication details.

Cons:

Originally, 1password required a 3rd party to synchronize password data across platforms, but they introduced their cloud SaaS offering to address this. They also took this opportunity to move from a perpetual license to an annual subscription model. In the last few years, 1password has steadily added features but in my opinion have been slow to address some gaps, such as automation of credentials over SSH (a feature that is only now experimental).

Good tool for managing your passwords, but not my go-to option anymore

4.0 9 months ago

Pros:

I loved the encryption and password generation features

Cons:

If you lose your password, it's near impossible to recover it. I was unable to do so despite many attempts and ultimately stopped using it, and switched to Google's free offering.

Security First

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: The most significant value, in my opinion, is the compatibility across all devices.

Pros:

It's secure, worth the price, and easy to use.

Cons:

It requires my typed-out password every two weeks (not facial or touch ID), but it shows great security practices.

I Use 1Password Daily

5.0 last year

Comments: I rely on 1Password to help me quickly log into websites. I need to use its sorting feature to clean out old unused login information, but overall I'm very pleased with the app.

Pros:

As a long-time user of 1Password, I've relied heavily on it to manage hundreds of my online logins. This application significantly helps me organize and safeguard my multiple online accounts. The ability to generate and store complex passwords securely has taken a load off my mind, knowing that my data is much safer from potential breaches. I particularly love the seamless integration with all my Apple devices, allowing me to access my information whenever needed. The Quick Access window is another feature that I find incredibly useful. With a simple shortcut, I can easily search for and copy login information, which has significantly sped up my online activities. Another aspect that I appreciate is the clean user interface. The ability to sort data by last used and changed makes navigation intuitive and hassle-free. It's convenient that 1Password saves deleted passwords in the trash in case I need to recover one. In summary, 1Password has become an indispensable tool in my digital life. Its robust features, ease of use, and high level of security make it a top choice for anyone looking to enhance their online security.

Cons:

There are no significant cons for 1Password. It has worked for me for years. They keep it updated, and I don't mind paying for the subscription.

1password ease of use

5.0 last year

Pros:

Secure Storage: 1Password securely stores not only passwords but also other sensitive information like credit card details, secure notes, and more. This requires multistep identification. Its also helpful for password sharing among small teams

Cons:

Some users might find the subscription cost for 1Password to be relatively high compared to other password managers or free alternatives. While the cost often reflects the robust features and security offered by 1Password, it might be a consideration for budget-conscious users.

This simplifies life in a world where everything needs a password

5.0 last year

Comments: This has been a gamechanger. I feel much more secure in knowing that each sign in has a unique and complex password, not just a variation of the same password I used to use.

Pros:

I love a single sign in and that 1Password will autofill and generate passwords for me.

Cons:

I do not like that it won't easily sync with other password management programs that are installed on my computer.

Pretty good password manager

4.0 last year

Comments: See cons above. The product is fine. It seems to do the job.

Pros:

It's easy to use and store all of your passwords in the same place. It seems secure and overall the starter plan is good value for money.

Cons:

There are two areas which annoyed me. 1 Was dealing with their support team. It took an inordinate amount of time to have a duplicate account closed - like weeks of effort. Very frustrating experience. For some reason it's quite hard to actually save a password which auto generates - the button seems unresponsive. I haven't bothered contacting support as I don't have the time.

Decent Easy to Use Password Encryption App

5.0 last year

Pros:

- Easy to use - Decent password generator - Vulnerability flags - Can auto insert passwords into fields without copy/pasting and logging in

Cons:

- Wish there were more tiers for payment options - I wasn't able to easily sync multiple 1Password accounts into my app (i.e. 1 for personal and 1 for work) -- maybe create a toggle feature?

A life saver and works great now!

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

1Password is extremely easy to use, all features are extremely intuitive, and it will save you a lot of time.I'd highly recommend that anyone who uses 1Password downloads their browser extension, logging-in to any website will feel a lot easier once you do.This tool is so practical and easy to use, I can't see myself without it anymore.Security wise, it seems to be a step ahead of the competition, so unless you are trying to save some money, I don't see why you wouldn't go with 1Password as your solution for password management. The interface is great, I never had a question about where to find something or how to do something in it, and the apps they provide are too good, they just work.

Cons:

I feel like the need to ask you to insert your password from time to time is quite annoying, but at the same time seems to make sense for security purposes.
