Why work harder when you can work smarter?
Comments: I'm solving the problem of me being lazy and inattentive...sometimes. Most of the time, I'm there, listening, ready to crush it. Other times, I see a squirrel out of my window and can't help but watch it do its thing. Like maybe it just found a huge nut or something and it's just snacking away. How can you NOT watch? But then, I miss important info. Gong allows me to watch squirrels AND remember what was said.
Pros:
I like that it takes *thinking* out of my job. If I have questions about something a customer said, or something that I said, I can just go to the call, search for it, and find it. It's an absolutely incredible way to keep on top of tasks, while also being able to gain a deeper understanding at any time.
Cons:
Again, not a whole lot within the scope of what I use Gong for that I dislike. It does the job exactly how I would want it to be done.

Important growth tool for sales teams
Pros:
I love Gong and have used Gong in previous jobs. Before Gong it was a lot of manual transcribing and listening to calls multiple times. Now with Gong, we are able to also see the transcription of the call and also tag team members immediately for feedback and important notes within the calls.
Cons:
Not much to dislike about Gong as they have been super helpful with the implementation and support.
Gong is great for sales, but not the best for startups
Comments:
Gong leaves you alone to do your work after you sign up and they don't market too heavily post signup which is fantastic!
We currently use Gong to do three things:
- Record user interviews from our product team
- Record introductory calls with prospective clients (we don't have any follow-up calls since our service is transactional)
- Facilitate coaching of our team since our service is coaching based on zoom
Pros:
The major thing for our team is unlimited transcription and having a transcription quality that is good enough. Our team benchmarked the software against Google and AWS, and we found out that Gong uses their proprietary transcription software. And it looks like Gong's transcription software has been trained mainly on meeting recordings (zoom) and on telephone calls. We also love the video playback feature in Gong is enjoyable to use. They have features like highlighting works as the speaker talks, seeing each speaker's talk tracks below the player, speed control up to 2.5x for the playback, and a way to minimize the video view to the bottom right of the screen.
Cons:
I hate the way gong displays upcoming calls. It's a pain to navigate, and there are no additional details on the upcoming calls. You would think Gong would show the meeting details, especially when you're working with your team and organization, but they don't! Another frustrating thing we found out after signing up was that all our historical recorded calls were not assigned a speaker. Gong does not allow you to assign speakers to calls that you upload to their system. It will automatically assign the speakers as "Phone caller #1" / #2 / #3, etc. All recorded calls before you start using Gong, and any call the Gong recorder does not join (happens a lot) will not be assigned to a team member.
Lots of greatness in this product
Comments: Gong has really helped our sales team grow by getting our AEs on the same page and continuing to build them into stronger Sales People.
Pros:
Gong offers a great recording system that you can do a whole lot more from. We have weekly reviews and the functionality makes it easy to get through in a quick time. The assessments also let us know how we're doing and from a manager to peer aspect review the calls.
Cons:
Some time search functionality seems off and logging in has a slow lag to start. Other than that I can't really complain. Those 2 things are really nit-picking too.

Great tool, even for SMBs
Comments: I feel like I'm part of the Gong community already 2 months into our journey. I'm learning a lot from their team and excited to be a customer.
Pros:
The Gong.io team creates a great experience, from learning and buying, all the way to onboarding and and helping you be successful in using their product to hit your goals. Even as a small customer, I feel like I got white-glove service from [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] (sales) and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] (CS). Already in week 1, we're getting so many insights from our call recordings. As we figure out how to sell better to our six new buyer personas, Gong will be invaluable in figuring out our sales playbook.
Cons:
The only con in buying is that we didn't have enough people to meet the minimum seats. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] helped us work through this and still get enough value to justify the cost.
Captures everything!
Pros:
I love that Gong automatically records, transcribes and coaches each call. It is super intuitive and is great for self-review, peer review, and coaching. I love that it's super easy to share segments of calls for review, collaboration, and feedback. The mobile app is super user friendly and makes it easy to record in person meetings as well.
Cons:
I don't like how it shows up as it's own "person" on Zoom calls.
A gold mine for product marketing and sales enablement teams
Comments: Gong is pure gold for any product marketing and sales enablement team. Can't imagine my life without Gong anymore. That's the first question I asked any peer I met, whether or not they're using Gong, because if they aren't, they are unfortunately in a different league when it comes to maximizing their potential as a team enabling the sales organization.
Pros:
Automated alerts based on keywords, sharing clips with key fragments of the conversation, detecting trends in terms of how often competitors and pricing comes up on sales calls, monitoring sales qualification efforts, ensure demo performance. Amazing tools to truly understand the context of your sales organization, beyond just their word which is not always exactly accurate.
Cons:
Sometimes the automated speech recognition algorithm doesn't really understand some terms (e.g. competitor names) are different from a common word in natural language, and messes it up a bit. Nothing critical, but that forces some manual cleaning up and causes false alarms.
Great for call recording, coaching and automating notes
Pros:
Easy to use and integrates seamlessly with the current tech stack. The voice-to-text transcription is great - much higher accuracy than other tooling we've used before.
Cons:
It's quite expensive, but there is good ROI on spend.

Every Company Should have Gong
Comments: GI use this software on a daily basis. It's a lifesaver.
Pros:
Gong is a super simple call recording platform that enables you to not only record, but transcribe your customer calls. This is invaluable if you work in CS or Sales and need to reference past call recordings, or listen in on your colleagues calls.
Cons:
There's some metrics in Gong that don't seem 100% accurate. For example, 'calls listened to' is based on calls you may have started listening to but never finished. This makes it look like you've listened to dozens of calls when maybe you only listened to 5 in their entirety.
Record your demos easily
Comments: We wanted a unified view of all things Sales related. And gong provides exactly that with call recordings, sales coaching, reports and so on

It's a little bit expensive for everything it do. Other than that, it's perfect

I love the ease of use for this product. I can easily record calls and share them internally or externally.

A tool with high capabilities to organize call recording, with distinctive search capabilities
Comments: Gong.io is a very inspiring tool, its ability to record calls and allow us to re-listen them always enables us to deeply understand the problems and enables us to track them down and find the best solutions for them in less time. With Gong.io we no longer miss any notes from customers, have integrated records and can easily distribute the workload to the team.
Pros:
Gong.io provides a lot of services that help us perform functions with great flexibility, especially its distinctive capabilities of recording and transcribing calls, and providing the ability to review and follow them immediately, which makes you really enjoy listening to almost every call. It ensures that we cover every aspect of the calls, making the process of following up on feedback and requests accurate and comprehensive. Gong's ability to easily locate the conversation you are looking for, through several search options, thus saves a lot of time and is able to access and follow the required recordings at high speed. Gong's many features such as transcription of calls to texts and continuous updates of the call log allow us to accurately document all requests and also know the capabilities of the team to respond.
Cons:
Gong.io is a great tool for our business, and it's easy to use; I wish there were more possibilities so we could record all conversations and more automation, so we could complete our tasks more quickly.

One of my favorite tools as a Sales Rep
Comments: Awesome!
Pros:
I was nervous when we first purchased this to have so much visibility, but it's been an amazing help for: 1) remembering what happened in a call whether that was yesterday or months ago 2) getting specific/contextual coaching feedback 3) seeing which deals need helps based on activity 4) flagging conversations by words that are said (especially when seeing how customers/prospects like new features or how other reps are selling those) 5) passing along feature requests or coaching notes to others on my team and in the business
Cons:
It took us a bit longer than we anticipated to get fully ramped in a way where we were really leveraging it and able to do all of the above. No other major complaints, but worth noting I haven't tried any of the competitor solutions out there.
Gong is great just wish we could live listen
Comments: Gong is absolutely an incredible tool. Without it I could not do my job to the fullest!
Pros:
I adore gong it gives me a 360 view on my consultants calls. I am able to pull calls easily to coach on, find content, and also the analytics are great!
Cons:
I would love if i could listen live to calls. Its frustrating that i cannot. Also I wish that gong would automatically sort if the call was a retention or upsell call based on categorizing the topics.
Key tool in stack for remote onboarders
Pros:
I took on a new role in Sales and I was worried I would miss out on listening in to important conversations which forms a major part of learning. Enter Gong - and I've been able to listen in and learn better than ever. I've also improved my style of interacting with customers based on their tips and seen better results.
Cons:
It has not been easy to upload a recording if we would like and their audio-to-text feature is not accurate.
Could Not Live Without Gong
Comments: Nothing short of exceptional. Gong also has a strong presence on social mediums and continues to come across as a thought-leader.
Pros:
As an Account Executive in the Software Space, I could not do my job as effectively without it. I use Gong's mobile and web-based solutions every day. Mobile App: In order to stay on top of my funnel in a detailed fashion, I am referencing prior conversations with my customer base every day. Gong's mobile application is the best way for me to reference prior conversations or demos on-the-go. Whether I am commuting to/from work or rushing through the office with headphones in, Gong's mobile application is a reliable way to leverage SSO and access my customer conversations from wherever my work takes me. Truly a life saver. Sharing Calls/Demos w/ Customers: One of the easiest ways to hold my customers accountable and accelerate my deal velocity as a rep is the ability to share recordings with my customers. Without Gong, I am certain I would not have the deal velocity I have today nor the ability to multi-thread behind the scenes as easily as Gong allows me to today.
Cons:
Some analytics/call coaching capabilities are not available in my mobile instance of Gong. I am not sure if this is something my company does not pay for, however, this would be a "nice to have" as a rep while on-the-go.
Great tool for sales teams
Pros:
Gong is an indispensible tool for our sales team. All of our sales calls are recorded through Gong, and the analytics provided for each call are great for training and benchmarking our team. Being able to search for specific calls by keyword or participant has also been useful
Cons:
I can't recall any instances where I've personally had issues with Gong, but I believe our admin has experienced some difficulties when first getting out account set up.
Pleasantly surprised!
Comments: Its a solid product and our Sales Ops team have seen immediate value from a coaching and training perspective and the sales staff are finally seeing the value in reviewing their sales calls with better context. As I mentioned earlier, it helps me in my role to engage more quickly and bring value faster to the sales cycle.
Pros:
I am not a front line sales person, rather I am a strategic resource that the sales team leans on when meeting with a prospect's executives and other leaders during the sales process. When they are ready for me to engage, they can send me a call recording and I can see who is talking, what they are talking about and make specific notes based on discussion topics. It empowers me to get up to speed with a new prospect much faster than in the past, which in turn keeps momentum and excitement in the sales process.
Cons:
It wasn't introduced to our sales org with a very clear "why" we need to use Gong. So immediately it created a misperception that leadership bought it as an employee watchdog which led to poor adoption. It didn't help that it was introduced as a stiff mandate from leadership to use Gong. In short, no complaints with the software, but more of a warning for new Gong users to make sure you tell your users the benefits that THEY will get out of Gong and the benefits the extended teams will gain from their use of Gong.
Amazing product and in my opinion a must-have for high-performance sales teams

Recommendations for improvement (talk ratio, longest monologue, etc). Really helped me improve in these key areas.
Cons:
Nothing I can think of. I get a lot of value from using this daily.
The Most Valuable Innovative Tool of the Decade
Comments: I am a raving fan. I don't know if I've ever really been a raving fan of a tool, besides the company I work at (Copper CRM!). I love their UI, their marketing emails which are NOT annoying (how?!?!), and their friendly support team. But mostly- this incredible tool allows me to become a better salesperson. Faster.
Pros:
So novel. Yes, other demo softwares allow you to get insights. But Gong takes it to a whole different level. The tips are a prime example of artificial intelligence of the future. I can see exactly what I need to improve immediately after a call- and I check after each one. I set realistic goals that I can actually measure based on recommended best practices that are outlined to me from research that Gong makes available to me- average amount of patience, interactivity, and more that's necessary for a successful sales call.
Cons:
The only thing I would change is that I'd like to be able to search more words within demos I've completed. The search functionality is already incredible, as it can pinpoint certain filler words and I can search a variety of terms. If it could capture more, which it likely will as they progress, I'd be thrilled.
Gong is a salesperson's dream
Pros:
It's so important to identify your prospects needs, but it can be difficult to absorb everything they are relaying. Having access to a tool like gong, gives me the ability to revisit my calls, dissect my prospect's responses and identify their needs. Gong makes this easier by filtering by keyword, offering graphs so you can click into specific parts of each call, compiles key words used throughout and gives my co-workers a place to listen and make suggestions.

I haven't found anything negative when using gong.
I don't know what we would do without Gong
Comments: Great!
Pros:
Gong is awesome! It allows every call to be recorded, analyzed and sent to the correct people. Gong allows managers to make comments on specific parts of the calls, speed up or slow down the pace and send feedback to the reps. One of the coolest parts about Gong is how the platform analyzes each call, letting the manager and caller know how much he/she talks compared to the customer/prospect, what topics were discussed, and even what words you are repeating many times.
Cons:
I think that the only thing that could be considered negative about Gong is that anyone at your company can listen to the call/recording
5* Review - Number 1 sales tool
Pros:
In my opinion, this product is KEY for success in sales. I enjoy listening back to my sales calls in order to analyze and better myself. I also find the deals feature incredibly useful as it helps me keep track of my pipeline. Overall, 5* product and would recommend to any organization.
Cons:
At first, I did find the software confusing to understand. However, this was partly due to how many features there are on the software so it just took a little while to get used to. Now, I fully understand all functions and use them daily.
A must to have in sales!
