Comments: Overall, a secure place to keep all of our Board data in one place. Easy gif new Board members to review old materials for onboarding.

Pros:

It’s a safe pls e yo organize our documents.

Cons:

If not configured correctly with the right “books” it can be hard to find materials. I hate that our administrator has it looked down to not print. Hard for 10ks and 10Qs

Diligent Review - RNC

5.0 2 months ago New

Pros:

Most important is the fact that Diligent Boards is a secured platform that shares the information between the whole board avoiding diferences on the amount of information to each member of the board.

Cons:

During the implementation phase, some members of the board were already had their e-mails registered in the platform. So, to link the same e-mail in different organisations, Diligent required the user approval and that the user informed the organisations which he/she had the e-mail registered. As this information is pointless for the person that is implementing the platform (me) and for confidentiality matters this same person should never had the information, I understand Diligent should check this information by itself or exclude this requirement, keeping only the user's formal approval for linking the e-mails.

Alternatives Considered: Atlas Governance

Reasons for Switching to Diligent Boards: Company's shareholders already used Diligent.

A Safe Old School Platform

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Generally good - it's certainly up there as one of the preferred platforms used by our clients and our internal team. However I do feel they need to seriously compare their offering to others now available on the market to make sure they don't fall behind.

Pros:

A few years ago, Diligent was certainly the preferred provider. Although since the move of all historic Diligent-owned platforms (Board Effect etc) it feels as though there hasn't been a lot of investment in developing the platform to make sure it keeps up with peers.

Cons:

Compared to other current platforms, it's quite clunky, especially building packs and navigating through them in meetings. The pricing structure also doesn't work for a number of our clients who are now looking to other platforms who provide different fee formats.

Diligent: Enterprise Board Document Management

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: To date DB has proven to be reliable and secure solution for board management, streamlining corporate document sharing, meeting preparation, and governance processes. While there is a learning curve for new users, the platform’s efficiency, strong security protocols, it is like using MS OneNote.

Pros:

User friendly interface with intuitive navigation, making it easy to access and manage board confidential documents. Its security is robust.

Cons:

Some of our users may find the initial setup and onboarding process time consuming. Additionally, occasional system updates can temporarily affect usability, viewing videos or quality of graphics in word documents at times might be problematic.

Diligent Boards is great for creating and sharing content with Board of Directors

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall it has been a very good product that our board members are happy with. There are other features we have yet to take advantage of.

Pros:

Well recognized and familiar platform for hosting board materials for review by directors, with multiple product offerings and 24/7 support. Also, it is a secure, MFA protected way to share content securely rather than sharing it by email.

Cons:

Support is sometimes not timely enough when emailing the day-to-day account reps or teams allocated.

Alternatives Considered: Nasdaq Boardvantage and DiliTrust Governance Suite

Reasons for Switching to Diligent Boards: Most familiar and popular amongst our directors.

Pros:

Using it as a repository of information for our trustees.

Cons:

The fact that OneClick will be disabled at some point. I also do not like that you cannot add placeholder names to the files that are uploaded online.

Diligent is a solid solution for a Board portal

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall, Diligent has been and excellent tool that is easy to setup meetings and easy for participants to log into to review posted materials.

Pros:

It is extremely easy to create an agenda and post files to Diligent. Also, you can copy prior meetings to create new ones, which is especially helpful if the agenda has few to no changes.

Cons:

Diligent has sporadically been buggy. However, customer support is very responsive.

Air Canada Diligent Boards Review

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: My experience has been very good and seamless transition from previous portal - very user friendly. [sensitive content hidden] has been a really great help and his promptness to my questions are much appreciated and evident. It truly goes a long way.

Pros:

Very user friendly which makes creating books seamless and easy, secure sharing and everything is available in 1 platform for all board members. Easy to communicate to them through the platform.

Cons:

Little details that are manageable but having to have the same # of pages when you replace with options, having to re-link your full agenda if there is a change made, not being able to upload videos rather than getting a link

Alternatives Considered: QuickBooks Time

Reasons for Choosing Diligent Boards: The inability of the platform to process and do certain things

Switched From: Directors Desk

Reasons for Switching to Diligent Boards: Many current board members had Diligent with their other issuers and highly recommended

How to make my directors' lives easier

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Diligent Boards.

Pros:

That physical board "books" are a thing of the past!

Cons:

These, with lots of change within the Diligent organization, when I need to reach out to Diligent for support, I don't always know who to contact. Also, response times aren't always quick.

Very useful but needs some improvement

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: Have been using since inception. Overall it’s very useful. One feature that I have been suggesting is automatic accessing pages. In other words, a leader could be looking at a page and all other attendees would see the same page automatically.

Pros:

Organization , ease of access.Previously we used printed board books so this is a vast improvement.

Cons:

Page numbers are not tied to headers so jumping from section to another is challenging.

Good Application for Basic Viewing

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall, very good. Navigation is easy once you access the menu screen.

Pros:

The interface is fairly good. The documents can be scrolled back and forth easily and it does allow for notes and highlights.

Cons:

The menu is often hidden and not intuitive when you are in full screen. Have had some login issues: this may be unique to our implementation but it seems to deactivate your login if you don't login for a while.

Efficient organization support for your Board Service

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: It is excellent. The site is intuitive and easy to navigate. It is truly a one stop for my board service.

Pros:

It helps organize my board service in one location including archive material, current material and other resources.

Cons:

There are really no down sides for me. The site was easy to learn and is a one stop resource. The only con is that I did not know of Diligent when I was a non-profit President. I certainly would have used it.

A great tool for easy board meeting material assembly!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Diligent Boards has been a great tool for our board meetings. We look forward to continuing to evolve our use of the platform!

Pros:

The ease of creating a board book and making changes as needed.

Cons:

If I am replacing a file that has a different number of pages, it will not allow me to do so and still keep notes that have been written by board members.

Good tool for Boards

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Diligent works well for the intended purpose. Some of the navigating especially on a computer is a bit clunky. Easier to navigate on an ipad.
A huge improvement would be a feature that allows someone to know what has been added each time there is a new sync.

Pros:

Nice to have all Board materials in one place. Printing function is pretty good Easier to use on an ipad than a computer re: turning pages

Cons:

Would like some way to know when things are added and what was added.
