Best tool to manage internal controls compliance and Internal audits

Comments: such a great experience for everyone at my company that is not looking at the tool as a burben but as a time saving tool for storing and sharing data and document and status

Pros:

easy of setup and easy of administration easy of use, so easy that no training are necessary for 90% of users

Cons:

as cloud solution sometimes it is not doing exactly what you want but maybe it is because what you want is not compliant

Comments: Really positive experience, everybody in the team is using it seamlessly and in the same manner, ensuring that our quality standard is kept without additional workload.
QA reviews of our audits are trivial thanks to the forms, resulting in a much cleaner environment.

Pros:

Accessibility is key to our global department. Latency is always the same regardless where we are in the world. Another extremely important key point is the superb support we received throughout this year from the team. All responses were tailored to the questions, this is, somebody took the time to understand our question(s) and reply to them in a very professional manner. No canned responses.

Cons:

A number of steps in our methodology are conditioned by the workflow implemented within the tool. Also, automated generation of documentation is something that we cannot use due to the limited functionality. Hardly a headache, we just adapt our process and use the tool in the most effective manner.

Amazing Platform!

Comments: I'm pleased with all of the capabilities and how AB is continuously enhancing the platform.

Pros:

It's very user friendly. Auditees and auditors find the tool extremely easy to navigate.

Cons:

SOXHub and OpsAudit need to be more integrated, since most auditors need both modules.

Good tool, but needs to be updated per customer feedback

Comments: Overall experience AuditBoard is very responsive to our emails and tickets. Most of the time they do resolve our issues and do provide guidance that resolves our issues. The issues we have are the items they have moved away from updating such as moving narratives from old format to new. AuditBoard is so focused to AI that they are not looking at the simple fixes and updates that some customers want.

Pros:

Cons:

- Updating the controls in the narratives, very difficult and complicated - Workstream, not user friendly and complicated - Setting up reminders - Dashboarding

AuditBoard for GRC needs

Comments: They have been a great partner. They listen to their customers and work with them on solutions.

Pros:

The module approach to adding functionality as you need it. Continued enhancements to product.

Cons:

Currently no significant issues. There have been enhancements that have addressed our needs.

AuditBoard - SOX Hub

Pros:

I like the ease of use, being able to very easily see my assigned tasks and know what is outstanding or in my queue at any given time.

Cons:

Limitations based on our contract for how many controls we are able to have / test. This causes issues as the company grows in size and implements new controls, and makes the cost higher as we grow.

EASE of SOX

Comments: It is great, we are able to automate so many features in SOX program.

Pros:

AuditBoard automates SOX, love the linking of controls to narrative.

Cons:

More robust Risk Assessment process would be great.

Excellent Software that every audit team needs

Auditboard has helped the team to be more efficient in documenting and finalizing the audits thanks to its ease of use and optimization of automating tasks

AuditBoard Review

Comments: Overall, I really like AuditBoard. I have people on my team who have come from other platforms who agree, and those who wish AB would do things the way their old platform did, but I generally like the product. It has made auditing much more organized and streamlined.

Pros:

Before AuditBoard, we worked on SharePoint, Excel, and several other platforms to get through an audit, and even then it was a manual process to review and plan for the next year. Now AuditBoard makes everything in the process, from planning to remediation, much easier.

Cons:

I've used AB for more than 4 years now and lately it has felt that the focus has moved away from improving its core products in order to build out the ecosystem. There are a bunch of small quirks in its core products, like SOXhub. When I've brought these items to the attention to the helpdesk and consultants, the response is always "suggest it as an idea in the community". This used to be a viable solution, but now I've had ideas out there for more than a year with dozens of "Kudos" (read: "likes") and comments from other users. Even AB staff have commented on a few saying that they've shared the idea and nothing ever happens. There used to be QOL updates at least monthly and now it seems like the community is largely ignored. It might just be my feeling though.

Great Audit Management Tool

Comments: AuditBoard is a great user friendly tool. The customization feature at different levels really help us meet our needs. The customer service is also amazing as they help you and provide a solution whenever you reach out to them. Ability to perform the surveys and view the results in a reporting format with different views is a plus.

Pros:

The ability to customize different functionality based on your needs especially reporting and dashboard.

Cons:

Cannot open outlook message when we save them as workpaper.

Great tool and easy to use

Comments: We were looking for a tool that provided a holistic view of risk and didn't require a lot of configuration. Auditboard has been great in that regard. I would've liked to have more consulting up front in the implementation process to make sure that we implemented most effectively. We made some mistakes that we are now correcting that I do think could've been addressed at the beginning. Overall though, I would highly recommend Auditboard.

Pros:

Very intuitive for users; focused on features that enable the front line to play an active role in risk management

Cons:

More flexibility with licensing - there needs to be something between a core license and a stakeholder user. Policy management needs further development to meet the needs of our organization

Ease of Use

Comments: Overall great experience with AuditBoard.

Pros:

Ease of use. It was very users for our employees to use globally with little to no training needed.

Cons:

Reports - the out of the box dashboards and reports are not helpful. The only way they are useable are through an API with PowerBI.

OpsAudit Increases Efficiency of Audit Process and Supports Goal of Combined Assurance

Comments: AuditBoard has been excellent to deal with from the original request for proposal through to ongoing customer service as an existing client. We were particularly happy with the "bite size" on-demand training available to our staff to help shorten the learning curve.

Pros:

OpsAudit is a comprehensive audit management software that provides functionality and efficiency beyond just the internal audit shop. The efficiencies for the internal audit process include one centralized location for enterprise and engagement level risk assessment, workpaper and template repository ready to be pulled into each audit project, built-in templates to document work, easy cross-referencing and hyperlinking, easy to find and respond to review notes, ability to generate multiple report formats directly from the system, and powerful issue tracking and follow-up. In addition, the built-in workflow, forms, and dashboards allow client management to handle their own tasks related to audits, follow-up, and monitoring. The flexibility of adding multiple categories of projects, and multiple unique templates, has allowed us to expand usage of the software beyond the audit department to some second line of defense functions and move towards the goal of combined assurance.

Cons:

There are no features that are bad, or I can think of for improvement.

Excellent Intuitive Tool

Pros:

Tool is easy to use to document findings, also workstream and the ability to work with External Audit makes the audit process easier

Cons:

Some linking capabilities can be improved. Should be Fedramp authorized, but the compliance with Fedramp is vague

Leveraging AuditBoard to improve processes

it's worth noting that no software platform is perfect for everyone, and there may be some features of AuditBoard that don't meet your specific needs or preferences. For example, some users may find the platform to be too complex or require a significant learning curve to use effectively. Others may prefer a more customizable interface or integration with other tools and systems. It's important to evaluate your specific requirements and compare them against the features and capabilities of AuditBoard to determine if it's the right choice for your business.

AuditBoard is better than the rest

Comments: My overall experience is positive. Projects are easy to manage. Auditees are happy with it, and we have been able to convert several manual processes formerly performed over email or Teams channels to Workstreams. This is the best audit platform.

Pros:

AuditBoard is very easy to use and provides good status visibility compared to other platforms.

Cons:

Issue management is clunky and reporting does not allow optimal displays of needed fields. There is insufficient linkage between module databases (Issues, SOXHUB, and OpsAudit) for reporting aspects of results, status of findings. AuditBoard is still better than other platforms, and is always improving.

Auditboard Review

Comments: Excellent experience overall.

Pros:

The ease of use across all functions is critical for success in our audit department. I appreciate that management can easily access and navigate the tool with little to no guidance.

Cons:

The inability to integrate outside data sources into the tool for risk assessment purposes.

AuditBoard

Comments: The customer service experience is amazing with AuditBoard. Today, I am at their annual conference in California, and I can't say enough wonderful things about [sensitive content hidden] , Senior Manager, in Customer Success. We were at breakfast and [sensitive content hidden] shared information with us about the weekly office sessions (virtual) that we can attend to learn more about the product. He answered all our questions related to the new features in AuditBoard and even discussed the new SOXHUB Admin Certificate. So excited to do that too. AuditBoard - if you are reading this, [sensitive content hidden] is an asset to your company!

Pros:

The product is very user-friendly, version control is very valuable, and each year new features are rolled out.

Cons:

I would like to see documents open on the same page. For example, to see the issue details open on the side of the page and still see the control info page open.

SOXHUB user

Comments: I feel like I have had a great overall experience with AuditBoard so far. The customer support is top notch and any issues we raise are resolved in a timely manner. Additionally, there is so much training available to help guide you if you are new to the tool.

Pros:

I think I enjoy how user friendly the system is. I came from a public accounting company and the layout of AuditBoard made a lot of sense and everything clicked for me shortly.

Cons:

I wouldn't say that this is something that I don't like about AuditBoard itself, but I work on GITC, and I feel like I may not be able to utilise the full functionality of AuditBoard. We have many systems that are tested as part of a single control and it can make it tough to utilise all of the different features that I think are helpful, but just would not make sense to use from a GITC perspective.

Great way to manage the Internal Audit process

Comments: I'm an internal auditor and have been using SOXHub for 4 months now. You don't need to be a tech master to navigate through the software, since everything is web-based and support is just a phone call away. The initial process of setting up controls and linking things around can be a bit tricky, but after awhile, everything will come together and make sense. The Dashboard provides a quick and easy way to show what controls are effective and what controls are ineffective. Navigating through everything is a breeze as you can sort my controls, types, control owners, who tested the controls, who reviewed the controls, etc. There's so much functionality involved such as creating specific rules for control owners, external auditors, and system admin. Additionally, you can run reports with specific parameters, to get a quick listing of whatever you are looking for. I really enjoy the WorkStream, which allows you to create tasks for control owners and have them upload their PBCs. It's a good way to keep track of who needs to complete what and also provides a deadline for such individuals to complete their assigned tasks.There's also a neat feature where you can "@username" someone and communicate any questions or concerns you may have. I've done this with my HR Manager, and she thought SOXHub was pretty cool for doing this since emails tend to get lost in the clutter. We also provided this access to our external auditors, and they were able to make their PBC requests and get in touch directly with the control owners, without sending emails. The feedback I received from an individual from Treasury had been positive, as she was happy that the external auditors weren't constantly parading around her desk for requests. Some minor suggestions I have would probably be in regards to the Narratives. The current functionality of editing your narratives is limited to a few general editing tools, but that's understandable since this is not Microsoft WORD. If you are nit-picky on how you like to format things, this can become a nuisance, but updates are along the way. I've talked to the SOXHub support, including James Im, who by far is very helpful, on things that can improve upon. The folks here are constantly listening and taking feedback on what they can do to make SOXHub better. I've offered a few suggestions on features I'd like to see, and within a month or so, the feature was implemented. All-in-all this is a great software. Thank you!

Brining Efficiencies Through Automation and Collaboration

Comments: Highly intuitive and clean user workspace.

Pros:

Automated generation of DRAFT and FINAL audit reports.

Cons:

SOXHub Workstream PBCs do not handle multiple requests across various respondents well.

Audit Board Review

Comments: We evaluated multiple programs and AuditBoard was the clear winner in our book!

Pros:

Auditboard is very user friendly. Becuase of the ease of use we have had little pushback from stakeholders which is huge!

Cons:

I don't like the fact that some features that we would naturally think are part of the program aren't available and you have to put in a suggestion for them to consider it. For something to be considered it needs multiple thumbs up from users.

a great GRC tool that I can kick the ground running and drive efficiency

Pros:

We implemented AuditBoard SOX Hub and Ops Audit back in 2022. Our Team has found its a smooth transition from the manual work to the meaningful GRC tool. We can focus on creating survey templates, automated evidence provided by frontline users, follow up status updates much more effiencetly. The alignment between teams is so much easier through ABI dashboard.

Cons:

Overall I like the application and all the new feature it rolled out. U will love ot have a better ROI.

Comments: Overall experience is great. SOX Hub and Risk Oversight have been great tools. As a IA department we just added Ops Audit and Cross comply.

Pros:

SOX Hub allows you to manage SOX Compliance program with ease. From submitting your documentation request to reporting on audit issue is easy to manage each year. Risk Oversight is a great tool to collect risk rating from risk owners and report on the results via Heatmap. Risk Oversight also allows you to track the status mitigation plans for each risk.

Cons:

The tick and tie feature to audit support is lacking. We are considering data Snipper which is a more powerful tool for auditors linking support to each test attribute.]
