Visual and adaptable project management

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Monday.com is a visual project management tool for teams that is flexible. Everyone is on the same page thanks to easy access.

Pros:

The boards and colored states on monday com make keeping track of projects fun. I like how methods and project updates can be changed as needed.

Cons:

When there are more users, prices can go up and complex services become hard to understand.

Seamless and quick work integration. Moved from Asana to Monday.com and loving it.

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: I previously used Asana but did not like their paid tier after your free trial is over. Monday.com also is better because you do not need to provide credit card information.

Pros:

Easy to setup. The onboarding process is quick and seamless!

Cons:

Overall, I really enjoyed the product much better than competitors like Asana and Trello.

Great after the initial setup

3.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: It is overall a great product but it requires a lot of set up initially to take advantage of all its functions and features. May also better suited for companies with multiple departments

Pros:

The many different functions, very detailed options for multiple projects. There are also a lot of great pre set templates too.

Cons:

very little initial set up support. You will need a team in charge of the initial set up of all the channels and there is not as much support from their team.

Alternatives Considered: Basecamp

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: More detailed options. Far more in depth

Exploring the Benefits of Monday.com

4.0 2 months ago

Comments: In our case, monday.com was introduced to the workers, and they have given rather positive feedback. The presentation of the project through the platform with pictures enables many people to see the progress of the project at first glance.

Pros:

Monday.com has a lot going for it, with a beautiful and customizable board system as its main selling point. Another interesting is that it has the so-called “pulse” to immediately show the state and workload of a particular project and team members.

Cons:

A weakness that could improve for monday.com: Lack of detailed reporting, though creating ready reports can be problematic.

A solid project management platform, great for nonprofits.

4.0 last month New

Comments: I like Monday.com. I've also used Trello, Notion and Clickup. I've been using Clickup for a lot of my personal tasks and projects in order to keep things separate from work but my organization (nonprofit) has a subscription to Monday.com so that's my work platform.

Pros:

Monday.com is easy to learn. I was able to get up to speed quickly and start making use of it. I continue to discover new capabilities and find it very useful for keeping track of tasks and projects in my work. As a nonprofit, we have an account for free (up to 10 seats) which is great as we're a small team so anyone that wants to use the platform is able to do that.

Cons:

I wish I could make a private workspace but on our plan, I'm unable to do that. So any boards I create are able to be seen by others on my team. I'd like to be able to keep some things on a private board so I can keep work and personal items separate but still within the same system.

Alternatives Considered: Asana

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday.com was easier to begin working in and set up. It also offered a significant discount for nonprofits allowing us to implement the system without impacting our budget.

Monday.com Is Worth it For Large Teams!

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Monday.com is a robust, flexible work management platform ideal for teams looking to streamline project collaboration, task tracking, and workflow management. Its visual interface, automation capabilities, and broad integration options make it a standout choice for larger teams or more complex projects. However, for smaller teams or those with simpler needs, the platform's feature set and cost might be more than necessary.

Pros:

The platform offers various views like Kanban, Gantt charts, timelines, and calendars to visualize workflows. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive and makes it easy for teams to get up to speed without needing extensive training.

Cons:

For smaller teams or businesses with simpler needs, Monday.com might feel overly complex or overwhelming. Its rich feature set and customization options can be overkill if you're only looking for basic project management.

Monday is easy to pick up and run with for project and task management

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Great for project management and tracking tasks, we have used it on our business to create a sales service queue, replace our excel / manual ECO/ECN process for engineering department, and in a lot of project and goal management.

Pros:

Easy to get started Easy to work with integrations and automations

Cons:

Very Expensive for Enterprise level, where a lot of features you would expect with any cloud service (e.g. SSO or User Provisioning) are hidden behind the pay wall. Interface is a little chonky, and thus you do a lot of scrolling if you don't have a HUGE monitor.

Alternatives Considered: JIRA Service Management

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: We hadn't really used MS Project much for years, but it was definitely much easier to collaborate with Monday.com

Switched From: Microsoft Project

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Price, ease of use for less technical users

Has everything you need

5.0 last month New

Comments: The level of customization in Monday.com is awesome. You can pretty much set up your boards exactly how you need them, whether you’re working on a simple to-do list or a complex project. I’ve added columns for deadlines, priorities, task owners, and even custom fields for specific projects. The templates are great for getting started, but once you get comfortable, the platform is flexible enough to mold it to fit your workflow perfectly. It’s perfect for keeping everything organized in one place, just how you like it.

Pros:

The interface is super visual and easy to use, which makes organizing work way more manageable. I love how everything is laid out in boards that I can customize however I want. It’s made it so much easier to keep track of what needs to be done, who’s doing what, and when everything is due.

Cons:

Can be very complicated to get things setup in the first place. There are just so many options

Alternatives Considered: Notion

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Members of the company had previous experience with monday so it was just easier.

Overall Monday.com experience

4.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: - perfect for small teams and any other organization not heavy on coding all the time
- easy to assign monitor and conclude tasks
- dashboard gives great visibility across the board
- support team is easy to reach
- on-boarding time and sprint management time went down for operational and business teams.

Pros:

Its very intuitive and easy to learn so onboardung new employees is a breeze. It takes less time conducting and managing sprints.

Cons:

It doesn't have the same intricacies as jira which sometimes makes it less suitable to use for teams who do heavy multilayer simultaneous dev sprints.

Alternatives Considered: Jira and Trello

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Overall management team seemed to be more familiar with monday.com mostly through friends, family, ads and previous workplace.

Comments: monday.com: Intuitive, customizable, collaborative, but can be costly for large teams and complex projects.

It allows for smooth communication between team members, improving coordination and collaboration.

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: For our research project, it can improve efficiency and optimize workflows by integrating easily with a variety of other tools and applications, including Google Drive, Zoom, and Slack.

Pros:

As a project director, I find it effortless to navigate and efficiently manage projects with Monday.com's visually appealing and intuitive interface. It can improve teamwork for my research project by providing powerful collaboration features like file sharing, real-time updates, and communication tools.Project directors can more quickly evaluate the status of their work and spot possible bottlenecks thanks to Monday.com's visual features, which include color-coded boards and charts.

Cons:

Performance problems, such as sporadic glitches or slow loading times, have been reported by some users and can reduce productivity. Advanced time tracking and comprehensive resource management are two examples of advanced project management features that might be absent or call for extra third-party tools.

Managing Projects with a Strategic Framework

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I use it for project management and collaborate with different teams and it helps me and the team a lot with providing clear and transparent communication channel which helps us not to drop the ball on any specific tasks. Apart from this to look at the entire project governance and helping with the WBS (work breakdown structure) framework as well is a progressive look compared to other project management tools out there.

Pros:

The visibility to look at the status of each project and see daily, weekly updates at a quick glance. Also, the collab function to provide team updates and tag specific person to nudge them about their projects is a great help.

Cons:

The reporting type (graphs) are very basic and limited to a point. I cannot drill it down to the level of detail I need without creating other metric dashboards or cards.

Alternatives Considered: Trello and Smartsheet

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: To automate and advance from basic manual entries and reduce human involvement and reduce the workflows to submit projects into system for the leadership and stakeholders to review.

Switched From: Smartsheet and Microsoft Excel

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: The functional capabilities it provided was something aligned with our business needs and with what we were looking for.

Empowering Team Collaboration with Ease

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Monday.com has transformed how our team collaborates, offering a streamlined and efficient platform that caters to our project management needs. It’s a robust tool that supports our workflows, though it could be improved by enhancing visibility into project contexts directly from the task views.

Pros:

The most impressive aspect of monday.com is its user-friendly interface that significantly enhances our team's ability to collaborate effortlessly on various projects. Its seamless integration and intuitive design make it indispensable for managing our daily tasks and long-term projects alike.

Cons:

One limitation I've encountered with monday.com is the inability to view the full context of a task within the 'My Work' view. It shows the tasks assigned to me, but it doesn't provide visibility into how these tasks fit into the larger project scope, unlike the more comprehensive 'Campaign' view.

Tracker's Paradise // Don't sleep on this one.

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: Love it! I use it personally in my own office for management of Lead to Client following. It keeps accurate and beneficial timed markers. I'm still fine tuning some of the better options available. I have another referral company using this and their interaction with it is much better than mine. Dashboard views are by far the easiest to track projects you have in development.

Pros:

Monday is a powerhouse of templates. I loved going through to see all the options available to me and decided to edit one of the existing templates that met most of my needs.

Cons:

Cost is the only thing I was bummed about. I know it is not that expensive for what you get but for a small operation like mine it was just a bit out of my comfort zone.

Alternatives Considered: Smartsheet

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Better dashboard and options that made more sense for my tracking purposes.

Switched From: Trello

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Better suited for what I needed from the platform.

Monday Increases Efficiency and Productivity

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I was very nervous when the team moved to Monday instead of using Google Docs or Google Sheets for tracking. However, the training videos on Monday were very informative and helpful. While I was very nervous in the beginning, the benefits far outweigh the growing pains of the transition.

Pros:

We have utilized Monday for the past nine months and have seen a significant increase in productivity. I work at a mid-sized local non-profit, and our Development and Marketing team has been able to increase efficiency and see tasks as other team members are completing them.

Cons:

It would be wonderful to be able to download the Monday log in a PDF format to save on our internal servers as we complete a full event. The information is no longer needed on Monday but is beneficial to keep in our records.

Alternatives Considered: Smartsheet

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: We selected Monday because it fits our budget and offers new ways to streamline projects. We were pleased with the onboarding process and knew our team could handle implementation with the resources Monday provided.

Team and Project Management

Comments: Our team is very satisfied. The biggest hesitation was how quickly our users would adopt the program and actually incorporate it into their tasks.

Pros:

Monday.com is the most user friendly project management system we've tried. Our users adopted the program quickly and management had no trouble tracking their work.

Cons:
