Comments: Overall it is great. Customer support is top-notch. I feel like they are also a company that is developing adapting and growing with client needs.

Pros:

It has lots of features and supports that are custom-made for tutoring companies.

Cons:

My one complaint is for USA-based companies there is no way for clients to pay via ACH Bank Transfers.

Great overall experience

Comments: Great tutoring portal- probably the best on the market at the moment. But it's still expensive to use and not the most user friendly. Support is great.

Pros:

It has nearly all of the features required to run a tutoring business and has helpful tutorials that I can send to clients and tutors, instead of spending time explaining to them how to use it.

Cons:

Lots of bugs when trying to login. I and my tutors encounter these regularly. I have highlighted these to the admins but they don't seem to think there is an issue. The fees and Stripe Split payments system is very expensive and is too slow to release funds. Tutors are not happy that they have to wait 7 working days to get paid.

Comments: Average. It's difficult to determine if we've outgrown Tutor cruncher because our business has grown or if Tudor cruncher just doesn't have the capabilities that we need or want in a system

Pros:

Tudor cruncher has significantly simplified our invoicing process and saved us time at the end of the month on that aspect of our business. It has also worked well for sharing tutoring needs with our teachers and tutors

Cons:

The limitations around putting multiple parents on one account has caused a lot of headache. Additionally, the lack of clarity and consistency on the billing side has caused frustration and concerns. We've also been frustrated with the system reverting back to stripe when we have set clients up on the direct debit go cardless option and that has caused a client to be charged when they should not have been charged. Further, the ability to make adjustments to a bill once a payment order has been sent has caused us to have to pay fees multiple times because we've just had to delete the invoice and resend it and then it's confusing on the client's end because it looks like they've been billed twice. Additionally, we have locations and tutors in three cities and while many of the jobs are virtual, so open to any team member. It would be a lot nicer if we could cipher out clients and tutors by location in a different format

Effective solution for managing your tuition business

Comments: Overall, the team are very responsive and support where they can. The roadmap for the development of Tutorcruncher is interesting and will fix some of the issues I currently have within my business.

Pros:

I have been using Tutorcruncher for 3 years and it provides a great solution for my business. It helps me to schedule and manage my team and clients and the general running of my business. The team are really responsive to queries.

Cons:

There are some features that can be 'clunky' for example, the ability to integrate it with other apps to automate my operations. The payment is also problematic as it isn't always clear on the invoicing what the costs are for, meaning some confusion for my accountant.

Comments: I wish we could use it more but a lot of pre and post training operations are not doable in TC. Better that what we had before and easy to use within it's parameters.

Pros:

everything is linked so many different ways to navigate through options

Cons:

In general, TC can be difficult to use for training of larger numbers (up to 12 usually) and recent export option changes do not work for us. There is a lot of doubling up of work.

Excellent tutoring platform

Comments: We're happy with Tutorcruncher and it's features.

Pros:

It's easy to use, well integrated with other products and brings the tutors, clients and students together in one space.

Cons:

I don't like that we are unable to mark students as dormant the way we can with clients. I know that we can create a label to mark them as dormant but this is not the same.

Comments: Good, seems to have high uptime, and sending emails is quick and responsive.

Pros:

Ability to categorise clients into different pipeline stages and send out emails to each one.

Cons:

Would be nice to use the pipeline stage as an out-bound email broadcast option rather than having to use labels.

The support you receive is outstanding- you message and they get back to you with step by step instructions on how they can support.

Cons:

It can be a little tricky at first but they are there to answer questions.

Cons:

Limited Customization for Advanced Needs:There may be limitations when it comes to advanced or highly specific requirements. Some of the requirements can't be set to the platform. Technical problem: There is maintenance when I use the platform, sometimes is disturbs my work and I need to wait until maintenance has finished.

Easy to use and effective software for managing a tuition business. Includes everything from initial contact to requesting and taking payments and paying tutors.

Cons:

Expensive, particularly when card processing fees are added.

Highly customisable and scalable software bespoke for the tutoring, teaching and education industry

Cons:

There are always various feature requests as customers want enhancements to the product, but it's not clear when the updates can be expected. For example, I would like to export out a list of balance updates, which seems like a feature that is easy to implement, but this is not possible.

Comments: Always good - my 'go to' person, [sensitive content hidden] has always been there for me when I'm panicking about something!

Pros:

I would have to employ an administrative person and train them if I didn't have Tutorcruncher. It is more reliable too I expect!

Cons:

It would be great to have an app rather than me signing in via Google on my phone. It's great on my PC but an app on the mobile would help.

Recent bugs

Comments: We recently experienced some bugs in creating a new tutor profile. We hired a few tutors in March and created the accounts of Tutorcrunch for them. However, all of the new accounts registered in March have disappeared suddenly without any record/history left behind. We know there is a function in TC to check the history of any action. But those affected accounts have disappeared and no record. They just liked not being created. Those tutors have to re-do the setup to their account. This is quite inconvenient for them.

Pros:

The tutors' availbility is amazing for communicating with tutors in different time zones.

Cons:

1. The calendar only shows one time zone, we need to switch every time in the setting. 2. If the calendar can be default set as showing 00:00-23:59, it would be best, because we need to manually press something to show more time on the calendar.

Tutorcruncher - an excellent tutoring solution

Comments: It was a breeze to use. Information on each tutor and student was easy to both input and recall.
The accounting system is excellent. The whole package is really user friendly.

Pros:

Such an easy system to use. Everything is there at the touch of a button and it is easy to keep track of what each tutor and learner are doing.

Cons:

I couldnt fault Tutorcruncher to be honest. Once I had worked out what each section could do and linked to I found the whole set up really easy.

Comments: Great CRM and payment system. The only one that is compliment in UK too.

Some of the functions can be a little clunky and slow. Also, at times it can be confusing how there are a few different ways to do the same task.
