When we brought it to their attention, they informed us that the problem we have with their software is why a lot of salons choose to leave Timely or not subscribe to Timely.

Great CRM system for salons
Pros:
It’s easy to use and the clients really like it. Lots of functions are automated

Love timely - fantastic booking system
Comments: Love timely - few issues lately which were adding vat to vouchers which I can’t take off so have stopped selling online and a booking fee which disappeared with no invoice - were resolved quickly and efficiently by the timely team

Ease of use for clients allows me to get on with my day while clients book online and captures booking fees

Would like to add self employed staff on to manage diaries or even employed gets costly adding them on if they are only in a few days a month

Pros:
I like the integration of eftpos so that the staff dont have to manually type in the amount so theres minimal error

Efficient and Reliable: A Timely Review
Pros:
Ease of use. This is what I always look at when availing or using products. As a busy individual, I would want to use something that does not require so much of my time. Timely helps me with my time management, Helps me book appointments with ease with zero to no errors.

At first, I struggled using timely as it was my first time using scheduling software and I had limited technical experience

Comments: They are great to deal with, overall would definitely recommend them as a salon software company.
Pros:
For someone who isn’t very technologically savvy, overall the system is easy to use, looks neat and tidy and has some great features to help keep track of the financials. The support is great but I am on the highest tier of payment so I’d definitely expect that.
Cons:
A couple of the features seem to be better in theory than practice but a phone call to the help desk usually helps work out how fix a problem. However, Timely are great at taking feedback when something could be done better from a working point of view. The transaction fee for online bookings and stored credit cards is high which is not favourable. I don’t know the overall costings of other software companies but I wouldn’t say what I pay monthly is ‘average’ from talking to other business owners but I s’pose you pay for what you get.
Brilliant but… A few small changes
Comments: Honestly love timely so much. It is so quick and efficient and has all the information I need within easy reach
Pros:
I love everything about timely. I find it so easy to use, so easy to navigate. I use it every single day. My clients also find it super easy to book using the online booking feature. I take payments using an external add on and it all works seamlessly
Cons:
I have a couple of things I would love if timely could improve on. 1. I need a function to be able to open my online booking to a certain date. For example I want to be able to open it to the last day of September. At the minute I can only open it X weeks or X months in advance. 2. On my iPad I have a button to quickly take me back to todays date which is great. But the iPhone app is missing a button like that. I find this a time consuming process to track back to todays date during an appointment when I’m trying to see how much of a deposit someone has paid me With these two improvements I think timely would be much more user friendly & I honestly think it would be seedless
User friendly
Comments: My experience with Timely has been a beautiful progressive one. I’ve enjoyed watching, timely’s growth. I’ve enjoyed watching my growth professionally and personally with Timely.
Pros:
Timely has no nonsense features and it’s very simple and easy to use. Attention to detail and the ever HELPFUL, question mark icon ? But also the back up supportive communication Timely is Professional in all aspects.
Cons:
Timely is a complete computer orientated database, so there’s no bells and whistles and hairy, fairy flowery stuff for my hairdressing industry

Comments: Very good software. You track all your tasks, all your windows. But then, it's quite possible to forget to turn it off. Plus, it would be nice to add an invoice delivery function.
Pros:
Great for keeping track of the time you spend working. Plan and be alerted. When you're a freelancer like me, you don't have to waste time writing time reports.
Cons:
I think all this data generated by the software can be used to develop other, cooler features. For example, it could be used to issue invoices directly when working at an hourly rate.

Comments: It is a super great app and gathers all data you need

We used this to track projects that employees said were taking to much of their time. We were able to see how much time was actually spent on projects

Comments: I used to think it was great and was the best out there.This recent price rise when I'm not using all the functions of the system has me looking at other options.

I like how easy it is to use now that I know how to work it.

The recent price rise has me looking at Fresha.It's almost impossible to change the emails and texts that go out automatically

Worst app ever
Comments: I had the worst experience ever. I had to try out something else.

Nowadays, every business is looking for adequate solutions to help their business become more productive with less need for hard work.I found Nothing amazing about Timely. I think this software should be redesigned from scratch.
Cons:
-Expensive for nothing-Limited features (BS)- the company runs user-misleading promotions- end-user time sharing always freaks out- No principal timer that can be fully managed (starting and stopping) at my own convenience- Poorly designed UI- Lacks great integration facilities and needs to be multi-lingual- Poor data visualization. It has to do with the overall typographic and layout design of the user interface.

Pros:
This is the best way to track the time of your teammate. You can add variable time tracking reports to your connected apps easily. The best thing is that you can use Timely on Windows and Mac.
Cons:
It comes with only 14 day trial. This is very disappointing to me a lot. Most of the software had at least a Stater plan to use their software which is very helpful for beginners who start their journey.
I don't even know where to start!
Comments: It should work well for a single person operator looking for basic scheduling/tracking of appointments but if you've got a multiple staff and lots of products, definitely consider other options first. Timely has a lot of growing to do and at the current rate, it's going to be a very long growth!
Pros:
The support team is fantastic and the application itself 'looks' great. Looks are very deceiving though. The most basic functions work well. Beyond that, there are plenty of issues, including lots of unfinished features.
Cons:
Far too many features are left unfinished. Every time something new is released I'm left somewhat shocked how basic functionality that could complete the feature is left out. Even Stock Management is tedious and unituitve. Something basic like not being able to make recurring appointments that have more than 1 service. Limited to a total of 160 characters for SMS. Sales Reports report incorrect/misleading figures. No customer accounts. No loyalty system. Can't create custom value gift vouchers on the fly (they all need to be preset amounts). If you have more than one staff member, you're going to be in for more surprises - good luck to you! There is far too many things to mention. I could go on but hopefully you get the point. Approach the application with caution, and if it means paying for additional month or two to PROPERLY test it out, do it! It could save you a lot of grief in the long run. Timely say they care about customer feedback but in the 2.5 years we've been using it, very little has been done to improve even basic functionality. In fact, not a single one of the things I've mentioned above has been addressed in that time. Given all the new (incomplete) features being released without first addressing the swarm of issues currently present is further proof.
Changed from MINDBODY to TIMELY
Comments: Daily salon life is just easier with TIMELY. TIMELY does everything the larger brands do but at a tenth of the price. Daily, monthly and yearly salon management is a breeze with TIMELY. Clients love the ease of online booking. No need to download buggy apps. Clients are loving the reminder sms. I was a long term MINDBODY user and can't believe I stayed so long using an over priced buggy system because I just didn't know TIMELY existed. Best business decision I've made in the last 5 years is making the change to TIMELY.
Pros:
After the most recent price hike from MINDBODY I had no choice but to search an alternative. It appeared as if no-one on the market had it all until I found TIMELY. I was going on holiday and had 10 days to have the change over taken care of. The TIMELY team did a flawless transition. Smooth, simple, effective changeover. The follow-up support has been spectacular. I was happy with MINDBODY to a degree but now I'm using TIMELY I understand just what I was missing out on. The timely team do everything to make the implementation of their product as hassle free as possible. You always get to email the same support person who is completely familiar with your situation. I have integrated the software into my website and my clients are loving it. The feedback at this stage is 100% in favour of TIMELY. I don't have a computer in the salon and am able to do everything from my Android phone without having to download some buggy app. Client management and reporting is a breeze and has so many ways of breaking down your business's progress. The integration of MailChimp, POS and taxation programs make it a spectacular platform for promotions, financial management and my accountant loves how easy it makes my monthly closeout. Interested to see what TIMELY build into the system in the future!
Cons:
Only available in English. Not all pages are phone screen optimised. No telephone contact available with tech support.... Sometime emails just suck!
Spa Scheduling Software
Comments: Overall, I had a good experience with Timely and would be open to using the software again. However, I will most likely be shopping around to find a more effective software and maybe a cheaper one as well.
Pros:
I used this software as an employee at a spa that I worked for, for almost 2 years. I had a good experience with Timely and enjoyed most of its features. The most beneficial aspect of Timely is getting notifications about appointments made through Timely. Communication is key for a small business with a number of employees, Timely allowed management to bypass certain communications by utilizing Timely.
Cons:
I didn't like all the content, options, and other features Timely offered. It was honestly very overwhelming trying to learn every aspect of Timely. I understand, having options is beneficial, but sometimes being simple is better. I was instructed by management to learn the software inside and out and it took quite a while to wrap my head around all the things Timely did and offered.

I can imagine being tasked with learning our whole system could take some time; we try to build features that are really flexible to meet our customer's needs but that can add some complexities. We're always working to make things easier for our users though and have been running some projects to improve and simplify our core user flows. Timely provides outstanding time tracker.
Comments: Excellent time tracker. This well help your business growth.
Pros:
Appointment settings in this software is far more the best I’ve ever experienced.
Cons:
There are no missing features in this software.
Great System
Comments: Usign the timely calendar has made booking clients in much easier, whether in the office or out on the road - plus we have been able to include an online booking system as well.
Pros:
Timely allows us to manage our instructors and locations really well. Everything is programmed in so different services that take different amounts of time are all booked in automatically, including breaks and padding time between sessions.
Cons:
As yet Timely does not allow me to see all appointments booked for different locations within the calendar software. It compensates by allowing us to export to a google calendar but this is not the ideal way of doing things for me. I want to see all appointments for all staff in one view. However - Timely do listen and have a team who are working to improve things as they go. I have to accept that my situation is unusual and therefore lower on the priority list to provide a solution - but at least I know it is on the radar. As a small business owner I would prefer keeping costs down as much as possible. I would prefer to see an entry level subscription that allows 3-5 staff without an extra monthly charge.
EASY SOFTWARE FOR BEGINNERS
Pros:
The thing I loved the most is that Timely will provide an invoice for tax purposes and to send to customers if need be. Setting up in general was fun and easy, definitely cut my time down in half.
Cons:
I would love Timely even more if I could add pictures of my work under my services when are booking so they know exactly what to book. I also wish the add ons didn’t have to be in a separate category and was listed under the service for easy add on.
