Comments: The people are honest and helpful while always being responsive and prompt. Unlike our last POS provider, they want our business to be enhanced by their product.

Pros:

The people that work there are TERRIFIC. The system is almost fully customizable, and the equipment is solid.

Cons:

It is complex, you have to be committed to getting the most out of the system. The terminology is German in English so there is a constant stop and think for the first few months. We are 5 months in and just getting routinely used to things like “price” means “cost” and “product code” means “UPC code” while “item code” means “product code”. In addition, the terminology changes inside of there system depending on what your doing. Makes it harder for terminology to stick .

The POS that keeps getting worse

Comments: Unbelievable how each SW rev takes away functionality! For example, our retail employees search Products constantly to check stock and store prices. While that never came up on the home screen under Products, it used to be one click. They changed THAT button to show whether items were Listed (who cares?) and now when you click 3 different screens to get to the stock levels, it shows ON THE SCREEN what our buy prices are (to the cashier and customer at the counter). But it does NOT show the sales price, you have to Go Back 3 times, then double-click the product to EDIT it, and scroll down, and expand a box, to see the price we sell if for. Who dreams this stuff up? I could give dozens of similar examples of features they've broken in the past 6 years. When you ask them, they just clam up and get defensive, refuse to revert any of this nonsense. Moreover, they hold hostage critical fields of data that cannot be exported, raising cost of switching which we have been keen to do.

Pros:

Multi-tier pricing tool (retail, commercial, etc). Cloud based, multi-store Uptime is reasonably good

Cons:

SW Revs consistently REDUCE functionality No invoicing function. Does not comprehend net terms at all. Known/documented bugs that persist for years

Comments: Excellent, Exceptional. If they dont have the answer they will find it and call you back

Pros:

Customer service!! What a crew of patience and knowledge. Their customer service second to none. The system itself is also FANTASTIC.

Cons:

I would like to have a tab or folder for my favorite reports on the back end. It has so many options for reports there are a few that i would like to customize and save in this folder or tab, so i dont have to search for the report tabs i like to use.

Korona POS for Our Small Business

Comments: Overall Korona has been easy to use and as a small business their customer service has allowed for us to do most everything we want as far as a POS goes.

Pros:

Our store has been using Korona POS and it has made running our buisness easier. The system allows for us to enter and remove things from inventory easily and frequently. When we have hiccups we are able to reach their customer service who is responsive and quick with answers. The instilation was not too difficult to complete. Our employees use the system every day and have very little trouble using it.

Cons:

The back end of the system is not as accesable for general users. You need a higher lever of technology skill set to work the back end of the system, which we run into issues with when people are not used to or have not been directly taught how to run the system. Another thing that would be nice is creating a program where you can update your equipment i.e. the computer/physical POS. It would be nice if there was a way to return old equipment to update to new equipment without having to pay outright for the new stuff.

Pros:

The ease of use is amazing! They also have a great staff to help with problems or needs! And they are quick to respond. I can do most anything I need from the pos.

Cons:

The initial training would have been better in person, instead of over the phone.

Comments: A very solid system - and reasonably priced when compared with the other options out there.

Pros:

We started from scratch with KORONA POS, having never used a POS system of any kind before. The setup process was pretty seamless - and the training was relatively straightforward. What really makes this POS stand out is the tech support - the team is lightning fast, super responsive, and very patient! I've never had a problem that wasn't solved that same day - sometimes within 30 minutes.

Cons:

It would be great to be able to customize reports - though the system comes preloaded with lots of options, I'd love to tweak the parameters or at least rename a few of them for easier use.

Comments: Customer service is fantastic. If we have any problems with customization, they are on it and we are able to utilize it immediately.

Pros:

This software makes inventory management, pricing, reporting and customer payments so much easier than competitors. We have a small business (2-4 employees) and we feel like we have the latest and greatest software available!

Cons:

We have not utilized all the features yet, so not able to see anything yet.

Comments: I had such an antiquated system before, implementing Korona has been a huge game changer for my overall profitability. Implementation was seamless and painless! The support staff is great and always ready to help. Had I known it would be this easy, I would have made the switch sooner!

Pros:

Korona makes it so easy to manage my business remotely. I can easily update pricing, enter stock receipts and view all my sales data from the website. All the POS features are customizable based on your business and the reporting is pretty endless.

Cons:

My only "want" at this point is more features available from the mobile version of the back office.

Great POS and Support Team

Comments: We transitioned multiple software solutions looking to find something that would fully integrate while also helping us dig deeper into our sales data and manage our inventory more closely. Korona has provided solutions for all of those things and made it so much easier to manage our business uniformly across all three tasting room locations as well as managing our Wine Club and online store. Of all the software solutions we transitioned to this year, Korona greatly exceeded the customer service of all others. While other solutions were hard to get in contact with (especially with a real person), Korona was always easy to reach, extremely personable, knowledgeable, and quick to help.

Pros:

The reporting you are able to do in Korona is amazing. It helps us make decisions about store hours, staffing, products to re-order, etc. much easier. We liked being able to customize the buttons in a way that made the most sense for our business and staff. It is much easier to train new staff members on Korona compared to our previous POS software, which is great! Our favorite part of the software would be the Support and even Sales team though, they made the transition so easy and continue to promptly assist us with any issue or concern that arises. They work with us to ensure we are happy with the way things are operating and are just AMAZING overall!

Cons:

We have struggled with getting the Quickbooks integration to work correctly for us. We also purchased a tablet from them that is extremely slow and frustrating to use the software on.

One stop shop for all your POS needs

Comments: My experience has been great! I started learning the system in October and had the hang of it shortly! It is super user friendly and intuitive! There are so many features I know as I continues to delve deeper into the software I will continue find features that make my job simpler

Pros:

I love how easy it is to trouble shoot problems. Dealing with inventory the last thing I wanna deal with is incorrect stocks or reporting. The Customer Support team always answers even my hardest questions, and when the issue is to big or complicated for me to handle they will take care if it for me. That peace of mind is so important and beneficial!

Cons:

The POS System is great! Occasionally I run into issue on the back end where a bar-code I'm adding gets replaced by an older one from the same product. It isn't a huge issue and I'm sure its a bug they will fix but sometimes it slows the process down.

Comments: Love it! Still learning all the great things it has for me to make my job easier.

Pros:

Not connected to a processor company. So I won't need to integrate into another POS system ever again. While taking advantage of any new processing company that can offer a better rate. I get a real person to talk to in less than a minute every time I call with a question. No Contract, month to month. Can't lose to try.

Cons:

It does so much that there is a little learning curve if this is your first professional business software. No issues learning though.

Great Customer Support

Comments: I recently spent two days trying to trouble shoot issues with our internet system and trying to get the internet side of things set up correctly. In order to prove to our internet provider it was due to internet system set up issues, the internet provider kept having me to make changes and do tests and then the system would go down, etc... Korona was very patient, immediate to respond, and effective with their responses. They hung in there with me until I could get a static IP address assigned and pushed through to our modem that would work with our credit card machine (which did not come from Korona) that is integrated with the Korona system.

Pros:

The customer support is very quick to respond and effective.

Cons:

I don't really have any cons yet. Like any system, it takes time to learn it. If I ever had try to do something specific and had troubles figuring it out on my own, I just emailed support and they were very specific with their help and instructions. They never left me floundering.

Really excellent POS system

Comments: Extremely positive. The software interfaces correctly and well with all of the equipment we need it to, the reporting is extensive, the inventory management works well, and the customer service is the best of any of our vendors.

Pros:

How fully featured it is. There's nothing I've needed to do that Korona couldn't handle one way or another, which cannot be said for literally any other POS I've used in my career.

Cons:

The user interface leaves a good bit to be desired. It's not unusable by any means, but it does feel as though the UI was designed by developers, not designers. Can be confusing and unintuitive at times.
