Tipalti: The Payment Processor That Surprised Me

Pros:

When I first signed up to use Tipalti as an affiliate marketer, I was hesitant. I've used other payment processors before, and they've all been a bit of a pain. But Tipalti surprised me.For one thing, the sign-up process was incredibly easy. It literally took me 3-5 minutes. And the interface is so intuitive that I didn't even need to read the instructions.But what really blew me away was how quickly and accurately my payments were processed. I was used to waiting weeks or even months to get paid by other processors. But with Tipalti, I received my payment right on time!Overall, I'm really happy with Tipalti. It's the easiest and most efficient payment processor I've ever used.

Cons:

Surprisingly, it was a simple process that went smoothly.

Great software for accounts automation

Comments: A good platform with great customer support, saves a lot of costs and increases profits, suitable for many companies of different types and sizes.

Pros:

This platform works to automate accounts, especially accounts payable, use it to issue and track invoices and it gave a good result, saves a lot of time needed to manage payments to suppliers, is also useful in preparing the tax form and in transfers and settlement of payments and others.

Cons:

It is really a good program that is almost devoid of cons, but sometimes there are problems with the integration with the bank account. Also, errors may occur with the use of e-mail.

Slow Payment

Comments: Horrible. I do not recommend this company and really wish DistroKid switches to another company.

Pros:

Nothing at all. The payment processing is inconsistent and slow.

The slow payments. I was close to losing my place of living because the payments were so slow.

Overall good payment tool

Pros:

Support is not as good as other tools available on the market.

Pros:

CSV-based transaction files provide more distinguished adaptability. Our licensing software generates fees that may be simply formatted to coordinate with the transaction file's specifications. Tipalti has lessened the time it takes to collect and disperse quarterly royalties from days to hours.

Cons:

Among my complaints is that it is impossible to notify the approver that a rejected approval claim has been submitted. It might be helpful if invoices could be added to a pending payment order so customer can see the progress easily.

A Great Solution For Managing Accounts

Pros:

Comments: Great experience. I never had an issue with it so far.

Pros:

Tipalti allows me to receive my payments once they are sent by the payer really quickly. It has affordable fees compared to other platforms.

Cons:

Sometimes the transactions are processed immediately, and some other times it takes a couple of business days even if it is a recurring payment from the same sender and receiver.

It would have been beneficial to have more flexibility in tailoring the platform to align with unique business needs.

Bad and Frustrating

Pros:

I do not like anything about Tipalti. That's it.

Cons:

From persistent login issues, to its poor UI, the experience of using Tipalti has been incredibly frustrating and I resent having been forced to use it by some of the companies who pay me. I think any alternative in this space is superior.

The perfect solution for my business

Pros:

What I liked the most is its ability to completely simplify my affiliate payments. Before using this platform, I had to deal with a manual and tedious process that consumed a lot of time and resources. But now, I can automate the entire process, from affiliate onboarding to currency selection to sending payments.

Cons:

One of the things that I liked the least is its initial learning curve. At first, it can be a bit overwhelming to get familiar with all the features and functionality of the platform.

Comments: I was particularly concerned about whether the rules governing money transfers applied to our international payments. Tipalti introduced a fantastic money transfer solution that is extremely effective and accommodates a range of payment methods. By integrating Tipalti into our payment procedure, we have sent millions of dollars overseas. Tipalti has greatly reduced the amount of time I spend processing invoice payments.

Pros:

With Tipalti, it's simple to view the status of payments and invoices right away. Time and money are saved by having a single payment run for both domestic and international payments. Having a 100% paperless payables procedure is wonderful. The software handles processing invoices and paying vendors with relative ease when used independently.

Cons:

One of my issues is that it is impossible to alert the authorizer that an approval claim has been made but been refused. If invoices could be included in a pending payment order, customers could readily track the status. The cost is not cheap. The implementation process takes some time. But once you board, the journey is incredible.

Great way to pay worldwide

Comments: We've used Tipalti since their early days and have been very happy with the services and features. I was looking for a way to pay our research contractors who live worldwide. We've paid people in more than 100 countries and with that needed to improve the efficiency of the process. We also had a concern that our worldwide payments are in compliance with money transfer regulations.
Tipalti brought a terrific money transfer solution that's very efficient and supports a variety of payment options. We implemented Tipalti into our payment process and have since transferred millions of dollars worldwide.

Pros:

Our researchers love the lower fees compared to just PayPal payments and the variety of money transfer choices. It's dependable and our researchers get paid in a dependable manner. The ability to capture payment details and tax forms without the headache of PCI compliance has been a big help for us.

Cons:

Sometimes it would be nice if more of the configuration options were available in the actual application. There are some choices and options that are not easily known unless you go back and forth with support.

New User - Early Appraisal

Comments: Our AP controller left and we did not replace her. Tipalti automates half of what she was doing (setting up new suppliers, processing supplier invoices, setting up payment runs and actually paying suppliers) at a lower cost and the control environment is strengthened too.

Pros:

The product is pretty easy to use, the supplier management puts the emphasis on the suppliers to get details correct, and because they want to be paid they are motivated to do so. In addition, the control environment is strengthened with the screening of suppliers and the internal digital invoice approval process of invoices means budget accountability is strengthened. It also integrates very well with NetSuite, which is important as that is my book of record.

Cons:

The dashboard is not the best, it looks a bit out of date and could do with being refreshed. I would also like to see the product handle staff expenses and staff credit cards.

A user-friendly software for managing payments

Comments: Our business uses Tipalti to manage the payments of thousands of users located all around the world. They all use different currencies and have different tax requirements, but with the help of this software, this is extremely easy to oversee.

Pros:

I am a user of Tipalti who is not particularly well versed in finances, but the platform is so easy to understand that even I can use it with confidence. I also received excellent customer service from Tipalti numerous times.

Cons:

I cannot say that there is anything I dislike about the software. I haven't had any major negative experiences so far.

Comments: I create my reports here and I can easily notice the parts I want.

Pros:

It is very nice that the analyzes are simpler and more understandable than other software.

Correction of transactions is very difficult and complex. It needs to become simpler

Excellent service

Comments: Excellent SAS. Customer Support is top notch. Using this service has reduced our man-hours (and costs) considerably. There is a lot of back-end work to get it linked into your system but it’s worth it. We send weekly and monthly payments (qty in the thousands) and I’d hate to go back to doing this ourselves.

Pros:

Excellent Customer Support, I'd rank it among the best. You can actually CALL them (!). Sometimes you have to leave a voice message but they get back to your promptly; same if you email them. Uploading payment instructions is very straightforward.

Cons:

Knowing if a recipient is indeed “payable” is sometimes a bit difficult to determine. However, such recipients seem to be in hard-to-pay countries. Tipalti is always trying to improve things though.

Tipalti - Great AP System!

Comments: Paying bills on time and adding the proper approval workflows. Tipalti has solved both of these.

Pros:

Tipalti is very user friendly and easy to review and approve invoices, along with adding and adjust approval workflows. The reporting capabilities are very useful and easy to run as well.

Cons:

The implementation was a bit challenging, switching from bill.com to Tipalti but that's expected when transitioning to most products.

Useful App

Pros:

it really helped me in my sales work. I saw its effect in my account works. I'm sure users will be satisfied.

Cons:

Except for a few minor mistakes, I just found the customer service flawed, other than that it was a good experience.

Safe , secure and efficient way to process payables

Comments: I like Tipalti very much. Easy to use. Secure and efficient processing of large payments, paperless process is very good, allows access to many different approvers

Processing and approving payments require few steps but program does not tell you that you still have few steps to complete.

Tipalti has been a great addition for us

Pros:

Tipalti has a very rich database of currencies and any potential changes are updated in real-time .We also work with a lot of contractors and I love how easy generating 1099 forms is .

Cons:

Once you create an invoice , it is very hard to make changes on it .Often it is better to start from scratch than to do edits .

Easy to use, historic invoices are easy to access and review. User interface is de-cluttered and user friendly

Cons:

Not much, for the features I use the software performs fine.
