> **Pros**: We love how customizable the grooming calendars/appointment set up is. We have multiple groomers and they all take their dogs at different times, some in blocks, some not. This was the only software I could find at the time we were looking that would accommodate our complex scheduling choices.

> **Cons**: The customer service has degraded to the point that the software cannot be recommended. We cannot get a person to help with even urgent matters and support tickets seem to be going unanswered. Currently our system SMS messages are not consistently being sent and there is no way to know which ones actually went to the customer. The Communications portion of owner records show the message as having gone but nothing is shown as sent in History, even if it was sent. It is a total mess that has undermined our customers' trust in us.

> **Pros**: This software should not be in the top ten.  As a customer, I can tell you that something has seriously shifted in our experience using this product.  Please read on.

> **Cons**: Customer service was eliminated, only AI chat bots now.  Customer portal is very disliked by our clients; is clunky and non intuitive.  Gingr behaves as a merchant card (swipe fee) middle man unfairly adding costs to your business.

> Did this company sell to the dark side\!?  What happened\!?  Customer service is now at the bottom of their list (one can only draw this conclusion; they have become entirely unreachable-- I mean, you can't even reach their sales team\!).  If you are looking for pet industry software, I recommend looking elsewhere as Gingr's fees keep going up and service has drastically declined to pretty much non-existent.  And the worst part--they have a behind-the-scenes handshake with a couple of merchant card companies (Cardpointe, and I think Stripe).  Gingr will impair your level of software performance if you don't use one of their partners (Gingr won't push invoice transactions to your merchant card machine anymore unless you use one of their partners).  So you keep paying more in subscriptions and they add a little pad for themselves on the merchant card side.  They make decisions to add/subtract onto your swipe fee percentages; yes, I know because I called to complain a couple of years ago and they so-called negotiated with me to bring down our percentage,. . . because I'm a good customer and we had a lot of transactions . . . imagine that?  What?  Is this legal?  This doesn't feel like the pet industry software we originally signed up for three years ago, it feels like it has become more of a greedy corporate shell of bots, feeding off of increasing your subscription fees and carving off merchant card fees.

> **Pros**: Can’t think of any at the moment. We used Gingr years ago for 2 locations and thought it would be a good idea to go back after trying MyTime for 4 years and found it very expensive. Big mistake.

> **Cons**: So many bugs with booking, messaging and most importantly, payment processing. Marketing is unusable. Messages are impossible to send, pictures never go through.
> 
> They’ve recently made changes that they claim are related to Stripe, yet they completely control the processor and all changes are internal. They’ve changed their batching timing with no notification to customers and after 2 weeks of your guess is as good as mine in terms of when our money will hit our account, they still have no answers, blame Stripe, have a mysterious merchant services department who evidently no one is allowed to speak to, even internally customer service. As a small business, I have no idea when I’ll get paid again and that is an impossible way to operate. I was warned too late bc we had already made the switch that when they were acquired by a PE firm, all went downhill. Wish I’d known before I made the switch.
