Ring Central is very robust and the cost reflects that for the most part.

Cons:

The sales dept made 3 appointments and no showed all 3 times. My inside support person is a a grouchy B---OTCH who wants to argue with me and tells me I am the only one every that has been unhappy.

Functional and helpful

Pros:

I like that I don't need to use my personal number for business calls.

Cons:

Sometimes notifications lag in coming through on my computer. Sometimes calls will get missed because they don't ring until it's too late to answer them or will just show up as missed calls.

Comments: The platform's user-friendly interface made setting up and managing our phone system incredibly easy. The call quality was exceptional, ensuring crystal-clear conversations with clients and colleagues. The range of features, such as call routing and voicemail transcription, greatly improved our efficiency and productivity. Overall, RingCentral provided a seamless and reliable communication solution that greatly enhanced our business operations. Can't recommend this product enough.

Pros:

We used the optional onboarding PM for our deployment to free up time with our IT Department and it was well worth the investment. This allowed us for a seamless go-live deployment!

Cons:

While the admin user interface is nice looking, it can be a little daunting at first because configurations can be done many ways. Further to this, it is not possible to test a 'what-if' after you are done programming (for example what-if a call comes in on X and they do Y where does the call get routed) leaving you to deploy into production and potentially cause downtime or issues.

Very good VOiP

Comments: Overall, our experience has been good we will be continuing to use RingCentral in the future

Pros:

The online portal is fantastic. It allows you to divert your calls very easily to a phone or even take them on your computer rather than your desk phone

Cons:

We do get several dropouts on desk phones a day Which sometimes makes it frustrating

work smart not harder work from home

Comments: This was an absolutely vital tool during the pandemic.

Pros:

Being able to have my full class in the video conference.

Cons:

It's a bit difficult to do large video conferences requiring a bit of maneuvering.

Review For RingCentral MVP

Comments: Pretty awesome and amazing and I would recommend that RingCentral to all of my friends.

Pros:

I like RingCentral MVP because this is an all-in-one unified communications app for businesses. It provides messaging, video, and phone solutions in a single, unified application.

Cons:

One least likely thing about that the mobile app RingCentral MVP integrates well and gets the job done, it can sometimes lag and be a bit clunky.

Comments: Their platform is solid. The features are extensive. The call quality is good. The configuration backend is a bit wonky. They simply beg for feedback way way WAY too often. This has been going on for years.To everyone at RingCentral reading this. You DO NOT have consent to contact me or our company about this feedback. It's disgusting I now have to write this every time I leave feedback to not get a followup call.

Pros:

Features and functionality is great. Very extensive and works reliably. Apps are available for desktop, mobile, and tablet that all work pretty well (once you get past the takeover-popups)

Cons:

THEY. WILL. NOT. STOP. PESTERING. FOR. FEEDBACK. I cannot go 24 hours without a popup/takeover/email/phone call from RingCentral BEGGING me to tell them what I think of the software and to announce whatever new feature they released. Just this week, 3 different phone calls begging for feedback. This morning I get "Desktop app refresh" begging me to turn on the new interface which showed a dozen different "what this button does" "what that button does" popups. The tablet did the same thing yesterday and it took 5 minutes to get past all the "new feature" popups... every last one of them pointed to buttons and functions that have been there for years.The icing on the cake was a few months back I left them feedback about this very problem. I specifically selected that they MAY NOT contact me further about the issue. Not even an hour later they call me on the phone, interrupting me at work, to get more details... Had to block the number. A few days later they try calling my number 6 times in a row. When that didn't work they then called my boss to ask if he was the person to contact about the feedback. Meanwhile they emailed me about it twice with #NOCONSENT clearly written in the subject field.We use maybe a dozen different software packages/platforms for our business. RingCentral single handedly accounts for 80%+ of the "please leave feedback" and "check out this new feature" popups/emails.

Great for managing faxes!

Ease of use and notifications so that I always know when a fax is received so that it may be distributed timely.

Cons:

Unable to add all accounts without logging out and back in.

RingCentral for the remote worker

Pros:

I love that I can use my ring central number instead of my work or personal cell phone number to reach clients. Since I work from home, I do not want clients having my personal or business number and ring central allows that. I can call a client via ring central and if they call me back it is through that number. Another great feature is setting do not disturb hours so that calls will not come in after business hours based on time zone. I also like that when I receive a call, I have the choice to answer via my mobile phone or computer since the application is on both.

Cons:

Nothing at this time, using this feature is a great resource to remote workers.

Can find better value elsewhere

Comments: poor, Always had the issue of tying to get through to customer service and it was not a convenient experience. 1/2 hour to 1 hour hold time is not good for service.

Pros:

Nothing that is outstanding, used a fax line for small business and it worked well, issue was the price increases. Year over Year they wanted me to pay $275 or so from 120 bucks. I did not think that was fair. Gave them an opportunity to lower price and they refused, hence the change to another company

Cons:

getting through the customer service line for simple inquiries was impossible.

Not enough support

Pros:

Getting rid of it was a great decision for our sales organization.

Cons:

Support and integration with HubSpot. This product used to be the Cadillac in VOIP/telephony technology but times have changed in my experience.

Wonderful product

Pros:

Fabulous utility and ease of use. Intuitive features and functions are in place that allows you to easily get done what you need to.

Cons:

The non wireless connection or 5g network connection needs improvement. That function is a little rough and could be fleshed out simply

Best for remote workers

Comments: I work remotely. I believe it's easier for a company to afford remote workers than paying an on site worker, which is usually expensive. With Ring central, the company is able to cut down overall spending costs.

Pros:

I was surprised that I could actually communicate with my team in the US while I am in Africa with just an internet access. The communication is flowless. Features like call recording, messaging. group videos, un reading a message, call log monitoring has reduced our company's operating costs. Lower overhead costs has helped our company increase its profits since we are a big team working remotely.

Cons:

Sometimes messaging just stops without a warning. It's irritating especially when you are in the middle of a busy week and clients need to be contacted not only through a call. This affects the business really bad. As a staffing agency, we need constant communication with staffs and facilities to fill shifts. Sometimes the messaging issue would go for a week without being resolved. If it's account issues or issues with payment, RingCentral has to notify as at least a day or two days before. I hope they see this.

Best tool for calls

An alternative for a phone number for freelancers

Comments: We tried different call applications but this one was the best! I am working as a freelancer with US based company, and this application gave me freedom to call, receive calls and voice mails and get done my job very fast and easy. Easy to set up.

Pros:

Inliked the voice mail option, since I am working in a different time zone, remotely.

Cons:

Nothing major, just sometimes I need to re-log in.

Not the worst or best

Comments: We used this because Ringcentral was a client and we got a good deal on it. I prefer using the phone system built into Hubspot directly.

Pros:

Ring central covers the basics and is an industry leader. It is very good with computer/mobile integrations as well as recording and tracking calls.

Cons:

Not the best service, on voip connections at times.

A little tricky sometimes but overall great system!

Comments: It has been extremely beneficial to have a unified system across all of our locations. Being able to pick up the central line when staff is available regardless of where they are located has been a total game changer for our teams.

Pros:

The set up was pretty easy overall and being able to assign phones for home use on the fly was imperative during the pandemic. The call forwarding system is amazing and very reliable.

Cons:

Have had a few hiccups with some of the handsets not working correctly and "park"s getting stuck but customer service has always been very responsive to our issues.

Ring Central - regular but not varied user review

Comments: Overall I've had a positive experience, I use the product mainly for outbound calling and it's reliable and easy enough to use.

Pros:

It's clear and easy to use. Has a nice user interface with clear, easy to define icons for different functions. Call quality is usually good too.

Cons:

I feel the log in process is a little long and unnecessary, it opens a few other windows during the process and I feel it could be streamlined.

Buyer Beware

Comments: Horrible. Doubled our phone costs and lost business due to the IT issues with their system. Extremely complicated implementation.

Pros:

Lots of features and the ability to have multiple locations / numbers.

Cons:

Way more expensive than initial quote with lots of additional fees, lots of issues with texting (including making all of our texting read only without warning and now having to wait on an unnecessary TCR certiicate to be approved for conversational texting which isn't necessary and could take up to 30 days). Every time we call support we've been told a new story of what's going on with no consistency and no resolution to our issues since 4/7. We've had 3 different account managers in as many months. Lots of language barriers and problems with support.

Easy to Use and Convenient

Pros:

I like how you are able to use the app on your desktop or mobile phone. Makes it easier when you work from home.

Great internet phone system for businesses

Love this application for my small business
