Pros:

Paycom can do a lot of different things if its configured correctly. It offers some useful integrations and can make a lot of the workflow side of things easier.

Cons:

I have been waiting 2 months for them to fix a mistake they made on my W2. I was told that it would take 2-3 weeks to fix.

A basic easy to use solution

Comments: My experience was fine. It wasn't great, it also wasn't bad. It functioned fine for me as a user and I didn't experience any outages or issues often.

Pros:

Paycom was fine for my basic needs for time and attendance. It was easy to use and understand.

Cons:

Integrating other systems into Paycom wasn't easy and proved to be difficult for employees to use. We like to be able to incorporate as much HR functionality into one system for ease of use and simplicity, but we encountered a lot of road blocks with Paycom. From my standpoint it was okay to use, but our company quickly transitioned away from Paycom due to the complexity on the backend.

Comments: It has really improved since 2023. We are grateful that they are now helping us manager our 1099 vendors.

Pros:

After 2023, they have improved Customer Service and the system interface is very intuitive.

Cons:

Nothing at this time. They have improved their customer service since 2023 and that really has made it easy to work with them.

Paycom - Best system yet!

Comments: This software implementation has been better than expected, felt very supported throughout the process and the program is easy to use and navigate. I like how we can hand back a lot of control and accountability to the employees and managers.

Pros:

The support is unequalled, all through implementation and first several payrolls, they were usually very quick to respond to emails and answer questions.

Cons:

Canadian taxes and statutory deductions are a work in progress and we have had a couple hiccups.

Easy and user friendly

Comments: Overall it’s easy to use, legitimate, and clear to understand.

Pros:

User friendly, even for someone who isn’t tech savvy. Tabs/descriptions make sense and are clear. I like the option to approve a paycheck.

Cons:

Tax document location wasn’t self explanatory. Every other feature is self explanatory though.

Comments: I LOVE Paycom. I've been with Paycom since 2016 and have converted two different companies/employers. I always tell people that no software is perfect, but Paycom is as close as it gets for me. It's a great, all-inclusive platform that is easy to use and highly customizable!

Pros:

It's an all-in-one system that is user friendly!

Cons:

Some customer experience has been lost as the company has grown. It makes absolutely makes sense from a streamlining, efficiency and liability standpoint, but the personal touch/assistance also decreases with these changes.

Paycom meets all of our expectations!

Pros:

I love that we have a dedicated specialist, how our implementors are very forthcoming and open about Paycom, the navigation, and usability of Paycom.

Cons:

If there was a better way to complete expenses for supervisors, as this is apart of my role, that would be better. Something that allows us to edit, review, and submit expense reports on the behalf of others more smoothly and easily - without extra steps that may be unnecessary or unavailable.

Comments: I would still choose Paycom over the competitors, but do wish that customer support was stronger.

Pros:

Implementation was done so well, our Paycom team took the time to understand our every need.

Cons:

After implementation the customer support was lacking. Our client support specialist was not responsive, and we were given a new specialist almost every month.

Amazing HR Software

Comments: Fantastic! I love being able to review my timecard for each shift. I can see how much PTO I have, do assigned trainings for my company and even see my tax info/W2s super easily without having to wait for the mail to come

Pros:

Super easy to navigate. I love being able to manage my timecard, HR info and trainings all in once place.

Cons:

Nothing. I love how much there is that can be done with Paycom.

Not just a payroll system

Comments: Overall, paycom offers everything we need to make payroll easy for our employees. From onboarding to payroll and everything in between paycom checks the boxes.

Pros:

Paycom is really easy to use for both me as a manager and for my employees. I like that there is an in depth desk top version and a quick on the go app version.

Cons:

I wish the cost for additional integrations was more budget friendly.

Paycom - Pros and Cons

Comments: i would rate paycome with an 9. it's a near perfect tool with the exception of how long the approval hierarchy works, If i was the developer i would put in status bar on top of the list approvers so that i know what's the hold up, who is hodling up my ticket for approval

Pros:

Everything is available in paycom from scheduling to adjustments to personnel action form to continuous learning

Cons:

the approval stages are very cumbersome, it shows me the name of the approvers but does not show you any real "progress" as to why the ticket is stuck to a specific approver.

Comments: Overall, I have had a pleasant and good experience

Pros:

The ease of the reporting and the use of Paycom for Payroll.

Cons:

I wish we got the State tax reports and I wish we could configure the PTO better. Also, I wish it was a better way to pay OT to salary employees when the law went into effect in July.

Paycom is an excellent payroll application!

Comments: Very positive. I think Paycom offers a excellent and superior payroll application.

Pros:

My dedicated specialist and the excellent customer service. The database is very user friendly and easy to use.

Cons:

The recently added terminated employee process in Beti needs a major overhaul. Very confusing and never does quite what I expect. I don't like using it but when I choose not to use it Paycom doesn't end some earnings. Some of the forms need updated to be consistent with other recent updates. Some improvements haven't been tested by an end user like me. The words don't wrap or are not visible.

It's worth buying

Comments: Paycom is easy to use. It has a number of time keeping functions. It's secure and I've never had any issues with it at all.

Pros:

It's convenient, I can clock in at work or on my phone at home. I use it to request vacation days,sick days, or unpaid time off. I use it to view my check stubs and W2's during tax time.

Cons:

None I have no cons I am a fan of Paycom.

Comments: Our implementation for the most part was very smooth. The training overall was great. For a brief time, we did have a support tech that wasn't too responsive or understanding of our needs but we were able to get switched to someone else that was a much better fit.
Overall the platform has helped us simplify and optimize many of our processes making us much more efficient.

Pros:

The platform has a lot of convenient features and is very user-friendly both on the employee and admin side. We like the ability to set notifications around dates, as well as being able to only give staff the ability to clock in/out for the jobs they are assigned. Information flows nicely throughout from Application to onboarding and hire.

Cons:

The app can be glitchy at times for employees and security features are a bit over the top making it hard for some tech-challenged staff. Features are ala carte- so adding on functionality comes at a higher price tag
