Stripe user for many years!!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Stripe safely collects payments and they quickly arrive in my bank account. For my personal business I get paid within a few days and as a dog walker through Wag I have the option for instant payments! I love Stripe and I love how they keep track of all my income, it makes it very easy to refer to when doing my taxes.

Pros:

Stripe tracks all of my income in both my personal business and as a Wag dog walker! I have been using Stripe for years and it has always made payments easy; both as a business owner collecting payments from customers AND as an employee being paid through Stripe.

Cons:

I don’t love the fees, but every payment processor has fees and I wouldn’t say that they are more than their competition.

Payment Processing For Busy Owners

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: I have had a very positive experience with Stripe. I started with them using their express integration with a few other softwares. I switched in January 2023 to the full software and have enjoyed it since.

Pros:

I like that Stripe handles all reoccurring payments. Once you set up the product, there is a no code payment link you can send to customers. They handle the rest!

Cons:

There are A LOT of features. My business is a 1 person company. Though my business may scale in to some of these features, Stripe offers a lot of features from the get-go, can be overwhelming when deciding on WHAT you actually need

Alternatives Considered: PayPal

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: I wanted something automated, something that could handle remote payments better, and could scale with my business.

Switched From: Venmo

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: No code payment links and a unique customer portal for them to control their billing

7 DAYS JUST TO TRANSFER FUNDS IS WAY TOO SLOW

2.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: In 2023, when I can instantly transfer money to virtually all my different accounts within seconds, stripe takes a full 7 days just clear a deposit of my own funds which would otherwise be instant. That's 7 days of them taking my money for their own purposes. In other situations you would just call that theft. Sorry Stripe. Not acceptable. Will not be using this platform anymore.

Pros:

Integrates with lots of other applications

Cons:

Takes FOREVER to just transfer funds to and from my account

Best payment processing service for any business

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: 5-Star easy-to-use payment processing service, and any time further detail is needed on a transaction to help a customer or resolve an issue, Stripe provides great detail on all transactions making it possible to provide valuable information to customers to resolve issues, and ensure the customer gets what they pay for and the business receives the payment for goods/services as intended.

Pros:

The easiest to use, inexpensive fee structure and top-notch fraud prevention - Stripe is hands-down the best payment processing system I have used in my 10+ years leading Customer Support teams. With the exhaustive detail Stripe provides on every transaction, businesses and customers alike usually have an easy and secure experience checking out with Stripe.

Cons:

Very few cons if any with Stripe. They seem to get things right in most aspects.

Alternatives Considered: PayPal Commerce Platform and Worldpay POS

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Ease of use, integration with website POS management systems, fees, regions of availability

Stripe is a fantastic payment processing service for websites!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Stripe is a fantastic service that has a ton of features that have made our departmental payment processing so much easier!

Pros:

We utilize Stripe mostly with our departmental websites to collect service fees and payments. We love how easy it is to use and how great it looks for our site visitors.

Cons:

There are a few reports our finance department wished were available, but we were able to work around that problem.

Alternatives Considered: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: The biggest sellers was the popularity of the service, the ease of use with our websites, and the look and feel of the service. The excellent reporting features were a plus for our finance department as well!

Seamless Online Payment Experience

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: The ease of integration, great features, and reliability have made them an essential partner for many businesses. I would highly recommend Stripe to any online entrepreneur or business looking to add online payments.

Pros:

Their API and documentation make it simple to quickly add the ability to accept payments on my website or mobile app. Their dashboard also provides great analytics and tracking of payments and customers.

Cons:

One thing I didn't like as much is their customer service could be a bit better. I had an issue that took longer than expected to resolve, but overall their support team was helpful.

Great service with some hiccups

Pros:

The ultra efficient and easy to use interface and integrations with practically every platform is amazing.

Cons:

After having payments halted unexpectedly and without any clarification several times during peak holiday sales periods, I really lost confidence in the system. A mission critical piece like this must work all the time without fail.

Stripe Review

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: I had a great experience with Stripe and find it a secure and easy tool to use for transactions within the workspace.

Pros:

It is secure and portable to use on multiple platforms. The instructions for Stripe are easy to use and set up.

Cons:

Stripe has a challenging and difficult authentication system. It would be better for Stripe to adapt an easier step for authentication. A user may struggle with a two-factor authenticator if they don't have their phones on hand.

Handsdown the Best Payment Processor

5.0 last year

Comments: It's the best. Don't ever think of considering any other payment processer than a stripe. They are best at what they are doing. This company started in front of me, and now it's one of the largest payment processors in the world. The dashboard, the entire system is extremely easy to use.

Pros:

It's easy, relatively cheap, and easy to signup and set up. Have plugins for almost all major E-Commerce platforms. Relatively low transaction fees and thanks to stripe radar you get less fraudulent orders. Modern dashboard. If you get a chargeback it's really easy to fight back. Amazingly fast support. This software is our business backbone.

Cons:

To be honest, I haven't found a single issue with this software. Just sometimes their verification can take a bit of time.

Alternatives Considered: authorize.net, PayPal, Square Payments and Braintree

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: PayPal is the worst payment provider now. No security, no check and balance of fraudulent transactions. Anyone can charge back you after getting your product or service.

Switched From: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Choosing a payment processor is a complex task as your entire business depends on it. We chose stripe because it was relatively cheap, easy to use, and modern, and their radar is the best to fight fraudulent transactions.

Stripe Payments is my Go-To payment processor for my online business.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: My love for Stripe has grown over the years. I probably had a Stripe account for 6 to 10 months before I even used it. I looked at it and not having a degree from MIT I was pretty lost and didn't bother trying to figure it out. I had a payment process already and it was working. After I began reading more and more bad news about this other payment processor I was using, I decided it was time to carve out some time and figure out how to use Stripe.
It did not take as long as I originally thought it would but I eventually began using Stripe alongside the other payment processor.
I figured out how to set up subscriptions and invoices with Stripe and over time, became more and more comfortable using Stripe. I can now go into the dashboard and put together an invoice within a minute or two or connect Stripe to a new site I built. More importantly, I think Stripe support has gotten better over the years which makes everything else with Stripe just that much easier.

Pros:

It is easy to integrate with my website's payment tools. Branding my invoices with my website logo is also super easy. I have used the word 'easy' a couple of times already and that is the main thing I like about Stripe - the Stripe features I use are easy. While trying to figure out some of the features I now use on a regular basis, I had to use the Stripe Support staff quite a bit and in doing so, I quickly realized that they are a top benefit of using Stripe.

Cons:

In the Pro category, I said that my main Pro feature was that Stripe is easy but only with the features I use. I might use more of the many features Stripe offers if they were easy to use or at least figure out without the back & forth with Stripe Support. Stripe does have a YouTube channel but the one that is most helpful is StripeDevelopers - NOT just Stripe.

Alternatives Considered: authorize.net and Square Payments

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Being available in more countries and the cost of using Stripe is why I chose Stripe over the others.

Stripe

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with Stripe has been pleasant, profitable, and smooth. Payments are processed smoothly despite customer locations and my payments are mostly on time except for public holidays. I really can't complain about stripe.

Pros:

Stripe integrates with a lot of software builders and customer management platforms out there. No matter your app builder you are a lot more likely to find stripe integration than other payment processors out there. It's also very easy to manage and keeps tabs on everything happening on your account even on your phone with the mobile app.

Cons:

When you deploy Stripe Radar, for which you extra pay BTW, sometimes authentic payments are flagged as potentially fraudulent and are not completed. When this happens it's very frustrating to the customer and to us as well. Improving radar is be more efficient would be very helpful.

Alternatives Considered: Adyen and PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Stripe's payment processing is less demanding of the customer. The Customer does not need to create an account or enter their billing address or phone number and yet it is still super safe. Customers can just enter their card details and proceed to pay.

I was the target of fraud and stripe could care less

3.0 2 years ago

Comments: Horrible. It cost us so much money. It was a waste of time, money, product and resources to contest chargebacks, cancel orders, return money and deal with legitimate customers since using this product. We though lower fees would save us money, but boy were we wrong. This is the single biggest regret since I started my business.

Pros:

It is easy to use. Fast to set up and you can start receiving payments right away.

Cons:

Like it says in the title. I was the victim of fraud big time. Stripe let a ton of sales through even though we had the fraud settings on the highest level. We lost the product, the money in the account was taken out and stripe charged us a fee for every chargeback we received. We were never able to contact stripe: it was automated massages after automated messages. Their only solution was: give us more money in the form of a service called "fraud radar" but you had to manually review each payment with meaningless tools that didn't work and they didn't guarantee anything.

Alternatives Considered: PayPal and Openpay

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Lower fees, or so we thought.

Switched From: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: We though we could save money by using a payment processor that charged less in fees.

The best generic payment processor out there

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We use Stripe for the majority of our payment processing on online stores. It is reliable and fast, payouts are really fast too. The customer service has always been great, and so is the documentation. The service has always been on track with any annoying new EU regulations, so I can truly recommend this company.

Pros:

I use Stripe in dozen different online stores. It just works. Reliable, fast, great service all around. Affordable fees too. I am extremely happy I left Paypal behind.

Cons:

I haven't found anything to complain about so far. This tells how great the service is. Usually, there is always something wrong.

Alternatives Considered: Klarna and Worldpay

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Paypal is expensive, for starters. They make everything extremely difficult, when you need to reach customer service you might as well call Skynet because bots are all you get - at least in Europe. They can shut down your account for no reason all of a sudden, which happened to us and many of our partners. The reasoning was that some information was missing, but then getting the information to them was made extremely difficult with long processing time which just meant enormous losses meanwhile. Thank god we moved on and found Stripe.

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Best pricing, modern, easiest to implement.

Seamless Payment Processing for a Smooth Guest Experience

5.0 7 months ago

Comments: Stripe has revolutionized how I handle guest payments. Its seamless integration, reliability, flexibility and security make it the perfect payment processing solution for my small business. I highly recommend Stripe to any business owner looking for a trusted and efficient payment partner.

Pros:

I've been using Stripe as my go-to payment processor for accepting guest payments, and it has been an absolute game-changer for my small business. Whether it's integrating Stripe with my booking platform or sending guests a payment link directly, the entire payment process has become incredibly seamless. I can easily track payments, view transaction details, and generate reports to stay on top of my financials and I've never encountered any issues with payment processing or delays, which is crucial for maintaining a smooth guest experience.

Cons:

One concern is the platform's fee structure, as some of the transaction fees can be relatively high compared to other payment processors but based on my overall experience this does not affect me greatly to move from Stripe to another tool.

Alternatives Considered: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Stripe provided greater flexibility in customising the checkout experience, allowing my business to maintain the branding and offer a seamless payment process. It was also cheaper to process payments via Stripe and the integration with my booking platform was seamless.

Excelent E-Commerce Payment Processor - Outstanding Security!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Very happy with the Stripe platform and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

Pros:

Stripe has an excellent product, that integrates with our WooCommerce store seamlessly. The features are robust, which includes outstanding security to detect and block fraudulent transaction attempts. Since switching to Stripe and adjusting our security settings, we have not had 1 chargeback or fraudulent charge!

Cons:

2.9% + 30¢ per successful card charge ads up. The pricing is well aligned with the industry, but it could always be cheaper, as volume heavy transactions add up quickly!

Alternatives Considered: authorize.net and Square Payments

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Authorize.Net was integrated into our Magento ecommerce store. After switching to WooCommerce we tried the recommended Stripe integration and have been very pleased!

Switched From: authorize.net

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Seamless integration with WooCommerce, and seemed to be the most popular payment gateway integration on the platform.

Stripe is a GO-TO payment processor for SMBs

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Stripe has enabled first class payment processing for our organization and the organizations we’ve implemented it for.

Pros:

Stripe is everything that people love about PayPal with everything a payment processing system needs to feel professional and high end to the end user. If you are using Squarespace or Woocommerce, Stripe is so easy to implement that you don’t even need development knowledge to implement it. Payment processing rates are fair and instant payout options are huge for businesses that are just starting out.

Cons:

There’s really no con to Stripe. It’s definitely something that requires some development knowledge to implement it. but because of how easy it is for developers… Stripe has so much third-party support so you’re likely able to find a free implementation method for your platform.

Alternatives Considered: authorize.net

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: It allowed us to create subscriptions and other advanced payment processing options that we needed to impment

Switched From: PayPal, Square Payments and Clover

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: The fact that there is no monthly charge to use the payment system is ideal for small businesses that we have implemented Stripe for.

Payment processing to suit your needs

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Originally, we were looking to implement metered subscriptions for our SaaS offering, and we needed something that would integrate with a solution for WordPress. Stripe had exactly what we needed, and has continued to be our preferred payments solution for any new services we offer.

Pros:

The flexibility of Stripe is enormous. Every little detail can be customized (or not), as your business needs dictate. The documentation and testing environments are extremely developer-friendly, the docs even include real examples from your activity in the testing environment. With all that, it's not difficult to get up and going with all the various implementations available. For the simplest use, signup, grab your keys, and plugin them into your e-commerce software.

Cons:

This was so much easier than working with PayPal, I really can't think of anything negative. But perhaps something I like "least"? That would probably be the settings section for tweaking things like payment receipts, logos, colors, etc. Seems I have to go hunting a bit to find just what I'm looking for, though it doesn't take long, and once you have it setup, it's not like you'll have to change the settings often.

Excellent option to streamline your payment processing

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Stripe has allowed me to accept payments in a fluid, efficient way that makes payment processing one less thing to worry about. I have accepted payments without any issue and received transfers of my earnings in a rapid and regular fashion. They've thought through every aspect of the service, and I especially like that I can easily track my payments received and total amounts right at the dashboard. Connecting it to my Squarespace website shop was a match made in heaven!

Pros:

With Stripe, you can accept payments by linking it to your online shop or on the go with a physical payment processor. I used Stripe for both and found it to be secure, simple to use and efficient. The fee per payment was very reasonable, and you can also use Stripe to keep track of how much you're paid. You can have the payments deposited automatically into a checking account of your choice, so it's a one-stop shop for a payment processor that pleases both myself and my clients. It's an excellent choice for small (or large) businesses that want to accept credit cards as a form of payment. One quality I particularly appreciate is the ability to accept payments in a variety of international currencies.

Cons:

While the fee is reasonable, as a small percentage of the total amount accepted per transaction, it does add up on larger payments from clients. Another thing that's a small obstacle to using Stripe is they do ask questions about what kind of payments you accept and what your business is, so you can only use Stripe pending Stripe's approval.

Alternatives Considered: Square Payments

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: I had heard directly from others using Paypal that sometimes their accounts became blocked when accepting large amounts of payments and they couldn't access their money or their Paypal account. I wanted to avoid this ever happening, and Stripe doesn't have the same limits on payments that Paypal sometimes imposes. I also think Stripe looks more professional as a payment processor than a Paypal option to pay.

Switched From: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Square seemed to have fewer functionalities, and for online shops the options to accept payments was at a higher cost through Square. Stripe offered everything Square does, and more!

A developer first payment gateway that will leave your sales team smiling

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: We have multiple payment solutions, some still in use and some now deprecated. Stripe allowed us to very quickly replace multiple other gateways and dramatically increase the code quality, staff experience and end-user workflow through its many benefits. Adding Apple Pay, Google Pay and other payment types was a cinch and the SDKs and implementations of all these are industry standard and strong, but remove hours of development time for my team because of the neat and clever ways Stripe integrates them. We have been using Stripe for several years now and I recommend it to business associates and indeed use it on new projects, because the overall footprint Stripe requires for the huge amount of features has really revolutionised our payment gateway experience both from a developer and staff point of view. And the changes and improvements constantly evolve, too. In fact, Stripe is a brilliant place to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to regulation and data privacy because they're always on the ball with such matters.

Pros:

I have to first commend the supoprt team from Stripe. Whether this is a technical issue, such as the developer support or technical issue, or the support for sales or management staff, Stripe put a huge emphasis on making their support second to none. Developers can choose between tickets and email, but there is also an IRC channel to talk real time to actual Stripe developers. They're knowledgeable and extremely helpful. When you use the on-site live chat feature, you will also get a follow up email with any extra information and a log of the chat, with an invitation to get in touch if the issue still isn't solved. The fact that it's developer first means you have an excellent set of powerful, reliable and well tested APIs. The sandbox is fantastic and the logging to help debug your software (in both sandbox and live) are truly unmatched in the payment gateway world. Every request, full request and response, and everything is deeply integrated, so you can quickly click between related data in a sensical way. The API documentation is beautiful and easy to follow and feedback and suggestions are taken on board and literally implemented more often than not if a problem ever arises or a good suggestion is made. The dashboard for sales staff is easy to use. The interface is clean but the features are tremendously powerful. The fraud integration with Radar is a blessing to small and medium businesses that want a quick way to help keep themselves protected.

Cons:

Having to setup multiple accounts, albeit sub accounts that appear in the same dashboard, to utilise multiple currencies.

Alternatives Considered: PayPal

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: We wanted to improve the ageing systems, increase conversion, provide a better experience for our customers and staff and, as well as all that, still receive competitive pricing. Stripe helps us achieve all that and more.

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Stripe has by far the best set of features and the most impressive portfolio of products. It is developer first whilst still being a pleasure for non-technical staff and customers. The prices were comparable, but the product we receive is way beyond the others that we have tested. Support is second-to-none.

Super easy and straight-forward to integrate and use.

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Most of our business transactions are processed through Stripe and we've set Stripe up for clients who require online merchant processing. By far the easiest and most straight-forward merchant processor to setup for online processing.

Pros:

Hands down, the easiest merchant processor to integrate into Gravity Forms or WooCommerce - I have to imagine it integrates just as easy with other popular tools, but my experience is limited to Gravity Forms and WooCommerce. Within Stripe itself, navigating is intuitive and easy with very friendly report tools. Looking up transactions is easy and may be search by name, email address, transaction id, and even partial data (like billing address, product, etc). Full and partial refunds are also very easy to manage. The reporting is especially helpful as it goes back in detail for as long as you've been a customer (so, I have data going back 3 years all readily available). I also appreciate the popularity of Stripe and how common third-party integration has become - in my case into AgileCRM and Freshbooks. Lastly, they have an amazing free iPhone app. Very useful for when you're on the road and you can basically do everything from the app that you could do from their desktop dashboard.

Cons:

I have never won a dispute - no not one - and the process seems entirely automated. While I have only had four disputes in the past 12 months, all of which were admitted mistakes on the customer's part, I submitted emailed conversations with the client where they admitted error, and I still lost. Since then, I've been told it's best to get the client to contact their credit card company to rescind the dispute but it was frustrating that the process is so automated that it seems not to favor the merchant. So, with that in mind, if you ever have a dispute, work with the customer to get them to rescind it.

Stripe Installment Stage Survey: A Thorough Examination of Its Benefits and Impediments for Organiza

4.0 9 months ago

Comments: Generally speaking, Stripe is a dependable and extensive installment handling stage with many advantages, including usability, customization, and security. Credit Card on-Site

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: We integrated Stripe on-site which provided us full access to modify recurring. We can apply discount on recurring runtime on the basis of requirements. Also Stripe increased our conversion rate.

Pros:

If you are looking for good conversion rate on Credit Card transactions then Stipe is a good choice. After integrating Stripe our conversion rate increased. Stripe is offering built in fraud monitoring tool RADAR which is outstanding and help us fight fraud.

Cons:

Stripe should consider Risk insights Dashboard to analyze fraud instead of looking into each payment a dashboard will give better overall view of the payments.

Perfect for small businesses like us!

5.0 last year

Comments: Saves our small business by being the best payment processing service that doesn't have any monthly charges and the least fees. A perfect alternative for PayPal.

Pros:

Most small business and newly incepted startups find it hard to find a payment processor that fits your needs. We faced the same dilemma. And Stripe comes to the rescue! Before it, we were using PayPal and when Stripe launched in India, we switched instantly. - Much less fees than the competition - Easy interface. - The most developer friendly API, I set it up myself. - Trusted service that instills confidence in the buyers. - A POS system for offline processing. - A mobile friendly app and website. - Domestic and International payments set up without any additional burden.

Cons:

Its going to be hard to list negatives, because its really the ideal payment processing service especially for countries like ours (India). - Extra fees on top of percentage based fees rack up for international payments. - The settlement cycle time is higher than what we would prefer. - RuPay cards are not accepted as of yet.

Alternatives Considered: Braintree

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: Lesser fees on Stripe.

Switched From: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Non availability in India.
