Wonderful experience with Hoxhunt learning journey

Pros:

Hoxhunt training is a part of our organization. In day to day world every day, we receive many spam, phishing, and malware in our inboxes. Hoxhunt training included great quality testing mail for its users to identify and earn badges. That not only generates learning interest but also provides broader knowledge and competition among members of the organization to see their rank & where they stand in the smart world. In a world full of cyber-attacks this is the most essential training.

Cons:

I am not a great fan of the calculation of the time taken for reporting a Hoxhunt training mail feature, because maybe someone is busy with other activities and might report once he/she has access to mail. In that case, their rank is going down as the time of reporting as soon as a mail is received also getting calculated.

The platform's content is consistently updated, and its focus on real-world threats is highly practical.

Cons:

There's not much to dislike about Hoxhunt. If I had to pick something, it would be great to have more customization options for the training sessions. Nevertheless, the "pause training" feature is very helpful in ensuring that no one falls behind, which is a thoughtful touch.

Pros:

Cons:

One common concern might be that while simulated phishing attacks are useful for training, they could also potentially induce stress or anxiety among employees if not handled sensitively.

A great tool to train and gamifies email spoofing/phishing

Pros:

The spoof phishing emails are very convincing, and it really does encourage employees to carefully review each mail before clicking anything.

Cons:

No complaints really. If I had to pick nits, the icon for reporting spoof emails is kind of small in the Gmail suite (a restriction of GSuite more than Hoxhunt)

Hoxhunt seems great at what it does

Pros:

I mainly interact with Hoxhunt's email phishing simulations. I think that it does a good job of this and many of the simulations resemble more sophisticated email phishing attempts. I think that it is a great training tool in that regard.

Cons:

Initially, the email phishing simulator had no way to configured planned out-of-office time. This led to missed simulations and breaking of streaks and such. This issue has since been fixed though, and that's certainly a positive development.

Easy to use, easy to track progress

Pros:

Reporting phishing and participating in training is straightforward with the interactive and engaging dashboard. I can monitor my progress easily and feel motivated to improve. The built-in features, like reporting emails from my Gmail account, are convenient. If I miss a fake attempt, I receive immediate training, which is quick and simple. Compared to other training and security features I've used, Hoxhunt tracks more accurately and has a significantly better user interface—it's genuinely enjoyable to use.

Cons:

Sometimes Hoxhunt's training emails are too good, and it can trick me. (But I guess that's the point: Pay attention, and don't click on things without thinking!)

Amazing Email Security

Pros:

Authentic way of teaching how to identify and report spam emails - the mock emails are really genuine and provides real time training

Cons:

Nothing so far. It looks great until now - I am really loving the way it shows the stars

Nice and Fun Tool!

Pros:

Very friendly and gamified interface, not only protects but actually teach the employees how to protect themselves.

Hoxhunt creates a fun gamified security experience to help you improve your skills

Comments: My company mandated that all employees start using Hoxhunt for security awareness. At first I thought it would be another chore and would add time; however, I quickly realized that learning in a gamified way was not only very fun, but also a great way to learn and remain very vigil with my emails. I made some mistakes at first (i.e. clicked on phishing emails from Hoxhunt) but have noticed my skills grow quickly over time. The gamified experience also creates a great social element at work as we'll say "did you get fooled by that Hoxhunt email too?". They also recently added a Spicy mode which increases the intensity of the emails you receive for a greater challenge. I find the experience very fun - I like the competition and social aspect and have learned a lot. And most importantly, it's really been great for our company in avoiding phishing incidents.

Pros:

I love that you receive actual emails in your inbox that look real. There's really no better way to learn about security that through real simulations. Plus, Hoxhunt makes the experience of learning about security fun! It's actually enjoyable to be able to detect when emails are actually Hoxhunt emails and fun to compete with coworkers to climb up the leaderboard

Cons:

I wish there was a way to more easily review what you've learned on a reoccuring basis as well as more visibility on the employees who collected the most points each quarter. We see the leaderboard but announcing a winner would create more appeal and desire to participate in the game

Hoxhunt, great in many ways.

I like the frequency of the "test" emails. I also appreciate the learning aspect of finding a hoxhunt email.

Cons:

This is not a bad things, but I do not like how it can trick me. However that is good for the learning aspect of the platform.

More benefit than just training - makes checking my email fun

Pros:

We use Hoxhunt for its simulated phishing email service. They'll send fake phishing emails to me and my coworkers to train us to recognize and thwart the real deal. It's a lot of fun and makes me actually want to check my email!

Cons:

I don't really engage with hoxhunt often or deeply - I'm just on the user side for the phishing emails, which come in irregularly, roughly once a month (as intended, to avoid people from getting to expect these and spoiling the training). So I'm not really in a position to have a negative opinion of any aspect of hoxhunt

Fun and useful!

A fun way to learn and keep updated on IT security issues.

Cons:

More options (than twice yearly) to stop Hoxhunt challenges while having days off might be useful.

Hoxhunt user

Comments: My employer rolled this out as a training intervention to increase staff awareness for email/phishing scams and security risks. I was sceptical at first how effective it would be, but can honestly say that after maybe 6 months of using it, it as been a completely positive experience. Its a clever way to change user behaviour when assessing incoming emails, and to provide on-going light touch but effective training in this area of identifying scams and phishing type emails.

Pros:

It has completely and positively influenced my responses to certain emails, and made me much more mindful about what the warning signs can be of scammers or phishing type emails.

Cons:

Occasionally the email requests look so genuine it can take some time to review them, and decide to report them, but that's the whole idea I suppose!

Staple for Progressive Workplace

Comments: Excellent program that all companies should be integrating. It is of upmost importance that staff know how to navigate and catch phishing or dangerous attempts at breaches of data.

Pros:

HoxHunt has made me much more aware of the messages coming into my inbox. It becomes very easy to ignore red flags when you are dealing with dozens of messages every day, but knowing that I am regularly being monitored for this has helped me stay on point! I love the interface and it is so incredibly user friendly.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing, I love the program. Having the icon directly on my inbox is the biggest seller for me. So useful!

Secure, safe and cool Product

Pros:

It's a very interesting product. It is a great way for spreading awareness for cybersecurity and other IT related threats. Very user friendly and like a game to earn stars user is extra caution and alert for the threats.

Cons:

If there would be rewards attached to reaching a milestone or tests that users will be more alert and responsive towards learning and understanding.

Easy to Use / Informative

It keeps me on my toes to make sure I'm not clicking on phishing emails.

When I'm out, I miss some and it ends my streak.

Stop Email Phishing

Pros:

I love identifying fake/phishing emails & seeing my progress. It makes the process fun and rewarding to see my positive streak in picking up these simulated emails.

Cons:

I don't see any Cons as yet with the application.

I love using Hoxhunt, as a user!

Pros:

I oddly love partaking in the Hoxhunt challenges - I love the competition aspect! It's also made me MUCH more aware of spam emails.

Cons:

Sometimes the test phishing email are routed to my Spam folder, so I miss them and get behind my colleagues in the competition! (not a real con, but it's the only aspect I don't like - I'm too competitive).

Excellent software for security

Pros:

The security training mails which help to identify possible threats is really very helpful

There is nothing that I didn't like, there are only pros to use this product
